We filled 1000 Posts!

I've finally caved in and hired Tom to fetch me some axes and saws so I've got a nice clean farm now. I drew the line at setting my alarm for every 2 hours through the night though so I'm not completely mad addicted. Grin

our quiche is now full, but there are some members who never chat and honestly their farms look like they don't even play - perhaps I could ask the leader what she thinks about replacing these inactive players.

it will be a few days as she's just had a baby (yay!Smile ) but I will let you know as soon as I know something.

Brightermornings · 25/10/2014 23:21

Thank you Smile

ZingOfSeven · 28/10/2014 20:15

it's done. 3 spaces are available in MN Moar (or Moar MN) quiche and you are welcome to join!

just remember to include your MN when requesting to join

anyone else looking to join, please do!Smile

MrsSecker · 28/10/2014 21:12

Hi fellow Hay Day addicts, I've tried to join the community called MN Quiche but was rejected by Queen Tweez of the Undead...I'm level 38 and a daily player. Can someone let me know a community I could join please? Thanks x

MrsSecker · 28/10/2014 21:14

Just seen the previous post! I've requested to join Moar MN x

ZingOfSeven · 28/10/2014 23:27

and you are in MrsS

again, welcome!

so about trading:
we agree on who buys what from whom.
prices are fp (full price) for all building and expansion materials - basically for everything you can't get from Tom.
Most other things are mate rates, which is the price that comes up automatically (so 20 coins for 10 corns, 9 coins for 1 pumpkin etc), but if you want fp for anything that are pricey and typically hard to find in DD (daily diry) and take hours to make just agree before hand.

then seller will say "shop" so tap on that message, then tap on "visit".
go to shop. buy the 1 wheat for 1 coin so seller knows you are there, waiting. then they will put on agreed item/s in the same or nearby slot.buy it. done.

sometimes it's a corn or carrot first, or rarely another crop but it will be 1 not a bunch.

you'll get the hang of it, once you tried!

hope I explained well, any questions just post here - you can't post long messages on the game chat.

secretsquirrels · 30/10/2014 19:12

ZingOfSeven I am co leader of Another MN Quiche and I wonder whether there is a way of messaging players in the quiche who don't trade or chat?

HayDayQueen · 30/10/2014 19:14

Mrs S, when you requested to join our quiche you hadn't left a message on here, and you didn't note on there that you came via MN, which is why your request was declined. I'm afraid we have received a lot of requests, most of them aren't from MNers so just declined any that didn't mention MN.

Zing - we've done that, and will probably do that again. I have to say it's a bit disheartening having someone join, and then not participate in the group chat. We're a friendly group and share quite a bit and it's not nice having someone you know is on, but won't join in the chat, but may well be having a read of what everyone else says.

We're holding fire on having new members I'm afraid - and have removed the 'request to join' ability. Only one of the last 5 newbies has joined in with the chat.

HayDayQueen · 30/10/2014 19:16

Secret - there is no messaging device I'm afraid, but if they wanted to communicate there is info on how to chat on this thread. They have FOUND you via this thread, so really, not chatting is a pretty strong message from them I feel.

Dixie - are you on Android or on IPhone at the moment?

if IPhone, its simple, just sign into your GC account on your new device.

Otherwise - this is from the Supercell Forums

To transfer your farm, your iOS account needs to be connected to the correct Facebook account. For Android, open Hay Day and connect your farm to Facebook in the in-game settings by clicking the Facebook connection button.

And proceed as follows:

1.Open the Facebook app on the device where you have the farm you want to transfer and make sure you are logged in with the Facebook app and in your device's settings
2.Start the game on the device that has the farm you want to transfer, tap Settings and make sure your farm is connected as well

3.Open the Facebook app on the device you want to transfer the farm to and make sure you are logged in here with the same Facebook account linked to your farm on the other device
4.Go to the device's settings and make sure you are also logged in here with your Facebook account
5.Launch the game on the new device and play the tutorial till you can tap the in-game Settings button.
6.Now tap "Connect to Facebook" and select the Facebook account you have the original farm attached to

If you are using an iOS device with iOS6 or higher, you will need to be logged in with Facebook in your device's settings. Open the device's settings and scroll down till you notice Facebook. Tap on it to check if you are logged in with your account. Always check if Hay Day is to be found in the list of applications that have access to your account and that this is turned on.

HDQ & Squirrel

yes it's not nice to get rid of people but if they never chat and never ever contribute they are a waste if space.

We have a few members who play more at night so not much opportunity to talk but they still fill boats and buy from rss etc so still active part of quiche.

I suggested 3 players, who I haven't seen or talked to in 5 months I've been on - and I'm on a lot - and our leader agreed. They had to go.

we have some lovely new farmers since, so it's much better now. Smile

HayDayQueen · 31/10/2014 11:52

Zing - I actually had one of them send me a very upset PM, very unhappy at being kicked out. I responded nicely, asked them if they wanted to come back and join in on the conversation, and heard nothing back. I'm really not sure what the point of the message was, tbh.

If people don't want to join a chatty NH then there are other ways of playing. There are non chatty NHs, you can find them by having a look on the Supercell Forums. There are also threads for making GC and FB friends to give friends on your friend bar - this is almost unlimited - you can have several hundreds through there. So if you WANT lots of friends (and to increase the crates in your shop) then go and do this!!!! You will have access to their shops, see if they need help, AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO CHAT WITH THEM.

ZingOfSeven · 31/10/2014 12:01

now now don't get upset sweetie...if people don't get how being part of a NH is beneficial they don't belong.
natural selection and all I'm afraid! Wink
forget about them.

I wish we could be part of more than one quiche. I'd love to wind up PD on a daily basis for example! Grin

HayDayQueen · 31/10/2014 12:09

'Tis alright, it was awhile ago from the first ones we removed! Wink

We do have a right laugh in our quiche! And have been there to support each other when we're having a bit of a crap time. It's been lovely.

We've all become quite friendly, and I think its been hard for some of the newer ones as we now have history and I can understand why they haven't all joined in - they must have felt a bit overwhelmed and out of the loop. That's why I've removed the 'request to join' feature.

I wish there was a message system - where you could PM through the game. That would be kinda cool.

secretsquirrels · 31/10/2014 12:25

Yes absolutely. I realise that some people will play at different times to me but when I see a NH member who has a boat flagged and I have never seen on chat I wonder why they joined. They don't fill boats or revive trees either. most of us childishly race to hug dead trees.
I have about 40 GC friends, all MNers and I always pop into their farms if they have a flag. I will fill a crate if I can.
We also have a couple of lovely members who used to play and chat loads but stopped playing all of a sudden. I guess RL reasons and I would be reluctant to delete them in case they wanted to come back.

Oh and Tweezle, I love your halloween name changes Grin

Can I just share my little tip for avoiding dead bush syndrome?

I save axes only for nectar bushes. All my fruit bushes and trees get moved to another part of the farm when they are flagged for revival. Then I know it's their final crop and I take all but 3 or 4 fruit. The bush or tree then remains green while admittedly a bit lop sided and daft looking

Brightermornings · 31/10/2014 17:49
