Hideous rain and gales here How's the weather with everyone else x

Kintsugi16 · 25/03/2021 22:53

@PartTimeDomesticGoddess
I used a large tub of Coconut Collaborative Natural Yoghurt which is less than the suggested amount of creme fraiche.
Then capers blitzed up with panko breadcrumbs and engevita on the top.

IndigoJasmine · 25/03/2021 23:03

Just wanting to join for ideas

Vegan day
B: peanut butter on toast

Pleased to report the leek and lentil was a success @PartTimeDomesticGoddess! I used Oatly creme fraiche in mine.

How do you have half a Fry's burger? I love those but have to restrict buying them as I can easily eat two!

Hello Indigo, there are some great ideas on here.

Yesterday
B: toast and marmite
L: veg soup
D: leek and lentil bake with crusty rolls and salad

ppeatfruit · 26/03/2021 09:27

Coco I apologise for us having lovely weather but we are approx 1000 miles, or more, apart Grin I hope yours has improved today.

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 26/03/2021 09:27

Lol @KarmaViolet me and my DD shared one as we were both having roasted veg. DH had 2 burgers, no veg. Next time I think I'd have a whole one though Grin

KobaniDaughters · 26/03/2021 16:47

Sounds gorgeous @ppeatfruit

Sorry everyone it’s blue skies and sunshine here - chilly when the sun goes down but chilly for us is 12/13 degrees C...off to San Diego for the weekend for DH’s 40th and the weather will be 25degrees so lots of pool time!

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 26/03/2021 19:10

Kintsugi16 · 26/03/2021 20:50

How lovely @KobaniDaughters
Happy Birthday to your DH.

We have 20 degrees forecast early next week so not so bad here 😊

KobaniDaughters · 27/03/2021 06:28

Glad the U.K. is perking up!

L: scrambled tofu and spinach in kimchi
D: 2 avocadoes mashed with lime and everything but the bagel seasoning onto rice cakes, handful of peanuts and raisins

Started off the weekend with my first beer in 3 months and some yummy tequila!

ppeatfruit · 27/03/2021 08:18

Wow it doesn't sound like there's any locking down, curfews or infringement of travelling etc. where you are Kobani . Lucky you! Have a good weekend!

L.Ryvitas with pnut butter and olive oil, shallot,mushroom\mushroom\ tarragon salad
Sn. leftover bowl of porridge with molasses
S. Parsnip leftover soup

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 27/03/2021 11:00

Yes, definitely starting to feel spring like and also looking at a forecast for a deliciously warm couple of days early next week. Still chilly at night, by which I mean 5 degrees not 12 HmmGrin

@Kintsugi16 putting the left overs in a wrap is a great idea and not something I'd have thought to do with the leek and lentil bake

Yesterday was
B: dates, trek peanut bar
L: freezer portion of veg/bean stew and dumplings
Dinner was what I call an all day breakfast and DH calls a mixed grill GrinRichmond sausages, black pudding, baked beans, roasted cherry tomatoes, spinach, portobello mushroom, avocado and a slice of wholemeal toast with naturli. And I had a bar of fry's chocolate when that had gone down

KobaniDaughters · 27/03/2021 14:34

@ppeatfruit it’s only 2hours away but not things are starting to lift - we’ve been in lockdown since March and last week finally went down a tier. People have been doing weekends away and we’re going to an AirBnB and staying there the whole time. Though there’s not been any real enforcement of anything - but again we’ve been in stasis the whole time during Covid, we didn’t get last summer of pubs and holiday like the U.K. did!

Looks like we’re going down ANOTHER tier next week though and the kids will FINALLY be back in school in a few more weeks (yup, they haven’t been in school at all since last March)....a shitty hybrid version of school but baby steps

@PartTimeDomesticGoddess

What is vegan black pudding like? I've only seen it once but wasn't curious enough to buy it

Kintsugi16 · 27/03/2021 19:01

@PartTimeDomesticGoddess
It was great in a wrap. I added some salad, finely sliced red cabbage and some vegan Mayo.

I need easily transportable food for lunch as I have to carry everything I need for the day with me and there’s not always shops nearby. I’m out and about all day.

Kintsugi16 · 27/03/2021 20:16

@KobaniDaughters
That’s a long time for your children to have been out of school. Pleased to hear that things are easing over there though

ppeatfruit · 28/03/2021 10:13

It's good that it's loosening Kobani (it's nice to hear from foreign places Grin ) I know I'm in another country but it's a lot closer, still very different from Eng. I've been vaccinated in Eng. and strangely dh hasn't here, he's unhealthy and 3 years older than me. Fr. is much slower with the vaccines than Eng. I'm going over Easter weekend for my 2nd. I'll need luck to get in though Confused

B. Smoothie
L. Leftover tagliatelli and leeks with a pnut butter,nooch dressing.
S. Ryvitas, pnut butter, green salad with spring onions. With a chicory cappuccino.

Coconut80 · 28/03/2021 16:02

Six degrees sleet and gales here today. So jealous of people with good weather we had snow last Sunday its mad. I'd love it to be 20 degrees as forecast down south in some parts next week, must feel lovely and spring like.
Enjoying the Anna Jones book making the ramen again tonight but mi us the radishes not keen on them.
Hope everyone has a lovely vegan food filled week xxx

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 28/03/2021 22:42

Late posting due to having been hungover for a good part of the day HmmGrin Yesterday was

B: porridge with raspberries, golden syrup and seeds
L: curried neeps and tatties soup with a marmite and naturli sandwich
D: happy pear leek and potato pie with carrots, green beans, broccoli and peas
S: lentil chips

Today
B: 2 slices of toast with peanut butter and kimchi
L: whole pot of alpro cherry yogurt and half a packet of Bourneville chocolate fingers
S: mango, 2 chocolate orange rice cakes
D: pizza topped with capers, olives, jalapeños, artichoke hearts and strips of roasted red pepper from a jar

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 28/03/2021 22:47

@Greenrubber I hardly ever ate black pudding as an omni, so I'm not sure how much they taste like the real thing. I've now tried 3 different ones though! Personal favourite by far was by Simon Howie (we got the breakfast pack from VeganKind online). DH said it was the one that he thinks is closest to the real deal. 2nd favourite, and the one that we normally have is by The Bury Black Pudding Company. Least favourite was the one we had on Friday for the first time, which was by V Pud. DH liked it, but DD and I both thought there was a bit of an odd taste in it that we weren't that keen on

Greenrubber · 29/03/2021 07:38

@PartTimeDomesticGoddess
👍

B Tahini on toast with butter
L Jackfruit steakbeak
D protein noodle stir fry with smoked tofu
