Cotswold Wildlife Park.
And you know what- I've taken the DC several times, and it's still great. Relatively cheap entrance, well looked after animals with lots of conservation initiatives, imaginative displays and beautiful walled gardens, and a decently priced restaurant. And Pallas' cats 😊.

Camelot

Bowood House, great playground

Just me and my dad going to the cinema to see a Norman Wisdom film together. I felt very special that my siblings and mum weren’t included.

Also Camelot or far more rarely light water valley

Bike along the river ( Thames) with DM, picnic and an ice cream from our favourite palour.

Picnic at Finsbury park.

Crackofdoom its fantastic!!! Used to go when I was small, now take my children and they love it too. My favourite bit is the fruit bats 🤩

Any beach on a wet day. Sitting in the car eating sandwiches and yoghurts while the rain hammers the car roof and runs down the windows. Then getting out and walking along the front in raincoats with hoods up. Driving home in a cozy car.

American adventure, flamingo land, lightwater Valley.

I still love theme parks now I'm in my 40s

The beach. With sausages cooked on a disposable bbq

The beach, lying on a blanket with sandy sandwiches or fell foot park, Windermere!

The beach with gritty sandwiches and warm squash. And an ice-cream.

The beach in South East Cornwall with sandy pasties and an ice cream at the top of the cliff if you didn’t complain too much on the walk up. Hiring polystyrene body boards from the beach shop. Wave jumping in my favourite towelling hoody because of the cold wind.

Oh I loved Camelot! And have to say Alton Towers as well.

Pendon Model Railway Museum (OK that was more my DF's fave day out)

And another vote for Bowood House and its awesome playground

Blackpool. But it was much less grim in the 70s.

Our holidays were always to morecambe. Used to love the theme park that was there (struggling to remember the name now) but I would ride on the cyclone time after time.
