SOT is the worst place I’ve ever been in all my years. I would seriously doubt it has any nice restaurants. It has very few nice people that’s for sure!

Wow what a shameful post. I’m not from SOT and agree that it’s not the nicest place but the people are LOVELY. Most of the ones I’ve met are gentle, helpful and down to earth.

Great thread otherwise. We meet with family to eat and it’s good to have recommendations.

Are you kidding?! I’ve lived in loads of places and hands down stokies are the nicest and most welcoming I’ve come across!

Lovely to see a positive thread about the area for a change (Apart from the one dickhead 🙄).

I love the Emma Bridgewater cafe in Hanley 😊

We went to the Quarter in Hanley in the end. It was really nice - great food, cocktails and service.

SOT definitely wasn't the worst place I've ever been - the previous poster saying that must have led a very sheltered life!

We're off to the Quarter next week before we go the theatre.

Glad you enjoyed visiting my home town. It may have its faults and problems but I still love living in Stoke
