Unusual Days Out

Can you help compile a list of unique UK days out beyond the obvious? I love when we discover a completely different type of day trip but usually it's better known by locals. The sort of things that I class as being quite
unique days out:

Crocky Trail
Forbidden Corner
Wookey Hole
Great Orme Railway

So not the average theme park/national trust/zoo type days

Goonhilly Earth Station in Cornwall

There's a great book called Bollocks to Alton Towers that has lots of great ideas (many of which have already been mentioned!). It's a funny book as well and well worth your time.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park

For under 10s, Sundown Adventure Park

I believe it's closed to the public now - went to it years ago (was really interesting) but last year we went to Cornwall & I looked into visiting it with DC & it wasn't open.

Also lots of other attractions in the area - sculpture trail, SUP and canoeing, Go Ape, mining museum etc

There’s a pencil museum
in Lakeland.

Kielder has some wonderful sculpture around the reservoir. We'll worth walking too.

Kinver Edge and the rock houses (National trust but quirky!)

Quirky Quarter in Liverpool is great but not exactly a full day out
