If you believe in the death penalty, could you do the job.

I do believe in the death penalty in certain cases. When there is zero doubt and for certain crimes. As an example, Rose West and Wayne Couzens, wouldn’t be against them getting the death penalty.
I couldn’t be the one to kill them though, mainly because of the idea that there is a heaven/hell.. I’m not sure, I murdered someone but it was my job to do so would matter, I’d just be judged as a murderer.

I read that a lot of people who work on death row and those who do the executing don't believe in the death penalty but work there so that those who are sentenced to death have a "good death".

The people charged with killing Christa Pike weren't up to the job.

Did they do it wrong or was she highly resistant?

She was trying to help them by suggesting a better place to site the needles, so I would say highly cooperative.

I meant resistant to the medication

I think that the people who would do it with glee are no better than the people they are executing. They have perhaps just made different choices/had different opportunities in their lives.

And I also don't think that all the people here asking "when do I start?" would actually want to do it. I certainly hope they don't.

Blimey, that’s pretty shocking. You’d honestly be ok with killing someone yourself if you were 80% sure they were guilty?

So I guess if someone you loved was executed despite their innocence, you’d accept that as just one of those things.

I don’t know what your trying to achieve here, but before an execution the defendants go to trial, so if they are found guilty and there is 100% no doubt that they didn’t do it then yes I would happily be the person to stand there and watch them die.

The technology these days is quite advanced, so CCTV being in majority of places, DNA testing and analysis, and that’s not just finger prints and hair strands, there is loads of other stuff that proves someone is guilty as police and detectives have to build a case for it to even go to trial, don’t get me wrong there is cases extremely small though and you don’t really hear it of defendants not being guilty of the crime they are being trialed for but people like rose west, Fred west, Myra hindley, Ian Brady, John shipman, ted bundy, Jeffery dahmer etc they should all have been executed for their sick disgusting inhumane crimes. I mean Ian Brady went to his grave still not telling anyone where little Keith was buried and his mother died also not knowing? Some sick fucks out there who shouldn’t even be treated with compassion for the crazy shit they’ve done to families and people out there! You act like a monster you should be put to death for it. That’s just my opinion.

What I was trying to ‘achieve’ is finding out whether you personally would be willing to execute someone with only 80% certainty. You confirmed that you would, but in your subsequent post you’ve said 100% certainty. Your answer has changed so no need to get shirty with me for not understanding you.

In certain cases I could. Or you could run a lottery for the event and donate the money either to the victim or a charity of their choice.

The Death Penalty should only be used in extreme cases when the criminal is 100% guilty and of sound mind. Example Hindley and Brady.

Child killers would be top of my list.

Brady was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and was in a secure psychiatric hospital not prison.

I meant resistant to the medication

How do you resist medication that has entered your body via IV?

DeftGoldHedgehog · Today 15:29

I believe in clean toilets but wouldn't want a job as a toilet attendant, all the same.

Am against the death penalty but the thread question is daft.
