The three sisters who died in the sea in Brighton

This is sooo dodgy. There’s no recent photos of them, no one knows why they were there.
They were fully clothed. Handbags on the beach.
Their mum was found dead in a lake 16 yrs ago in Birmingham.
Police have reviewed 100’s of hours og cctv footage and nothing.
What the actual fuck?!

They were not drinking, they were tee total. It looks like this maybe quiet to keep the families privacy, as in it may have been deliberate.

We can’t know for sure if they drank alcohol or not. For example I know a Muslim young adult who tells his family that he doesn’t drink alcohol. He told me that he does drink alcohol on the quiet

anonhop · 27/05/2026 21:34

I saw a black influencer say that black women specifically choosing to go in the sea, particularly when they have spent a lot of time and money getting themselves ready, is very unusual indeed. Now I can’t comment & I absolutely don’t want to categorise one race as all behaving in the same way. Just thought I would share that angle

meltingmoaner · 27/05/2026 21:34

bluelightsky · 27/05/2026 21:33

Well there can only be a few options:

  1. One or more of them were suicidal and deliberately went in (the others tried to rescue but drowned)
  2. It was a horrible accident and they all fell in
  3. They were murdered

Police are saying it’s not 3.

But I feel often people prefer option 3, no idea why. The sensationalism? It was the same with Nicola Bully.

Do you often repeat things reported 3rd hand by complete strangers, or do you just save it for when people die in tragic circumstances?

The person that told me this info is connected to the marine guard through a professional link. I’m trying to be vague, as I’m not sure if this info is even meant to be released yet. Not that I care about myself saying it but I wouldn’t want anyone to lose their job for example

Perhaps because it’s quite unusual for three people to accidently die all at the same time? Also there are elements of mystery such as the family having no clue why they went to Brighton in the first place.

The whole Nichola Bully thing produced a mass of stomach churning armchair sleuths, who found it all very entertaining.

So crass.

Lots of people get into trouble in the sea at the same time as each other though.

I agree, it's ghoulish. If the coastal team worker really exists and discussed what he saw, he had no right to do so.

And yet it’s not ghoulish to start a thread asking what happened? Why’s that?

the80sweregreat · 27/05/2026 21:39

I suppose the police will have to try and find out why they were there and if they did buy alcohol and where they went. It must be a lengthy process gathering all the facts and footage of cctv and so on.

So why say anything at all?

Firstly you don’t know that it’s true and secondly you don’t know if it’s supposed to be public knowledge.

So why wouldn’t you just keep it to yourself?

We're taking this down as possible misinformation of an active case.

You don’t know “something”.

All you know is third-hand hearsay. Chinese whispers.

If you actually knew something important that is relevant to the tragic death of these ladies you would be at the nearest police station giving your evidence.

If you have no concrete evidence to give, then don’t go around gossiping and claiming you know something.

The police were appalling in how they handled her case though- commenting on her alcohol use and menopause challenges. I hope they got raked over the coals for that, it was shocking.

What’s the go fund me for?

Funerals i imagine. No one budgets for the cost of 3 funerals at once.

HelenaWilson · 27/05/2026 21:40

I’m not sure if this info is even meant to be released yet.

Of course it's not meant to be released yet. If it was, it would have been reported on the BBC and elsewhere. Don't any of you have any professional standards to uphold?

Im not connected to anyone in any way professionally.

anyway I presume it’s going to come out nationally soon as I have heard various people talking about it in the local area

Yep

TenTenTenAgain · 27/05/2026 21:42

The go fund me was originally for funerals and set at 18k. It was then raised to 45k as people continued to donate.

NoCommentingFromNowOn · 27/05/2026 21:42

Was the date special? A birthday, or the anniversary of their mum dying?

It’s horrific really, I feel so sorry for the dad, I’ve not heard anything about other siblings so is he facing growing older without his wife or three children? Awful.

One of the women had a different surname, was she married? Kids? It is just too terrible to think about really.

The hypocrisy! And yet there you are writing on a thread that is wondering what happened to them!

if you don’t think we should be discussing it, why are you here?

I hope to God you don’t work for the police, courts, social services, education or in health care.

I’d be requesting to have your comments deleted if I were you.

the80sweregreat · 27/05/2026 21:43

I imagine the go fund me money will go towards their funerals , some people don’t have life insurance and that takes a while to come through if you do have it.

It’s not unusual for people to drown together because they try & help each other.

CousinBette · 27/05/2026 21:43

HelenaWilson · 27/05/2026 21:18

We should all be shouting for answers.

Shouting at whom? And why should they answer?

Why do you think that would be a more effective way of finding the answers than the Coroner's inquest, which will be held once all the evidence has been gathered?

I didn’t say it would be MORE effective than an inquest. I just hope that the deaths of these three women are properly investigated.
