The three sisters who died in the sea in Brighton

This is sooo dodgy. There’s no recent photos of them, no one knows why they were there.
They were fully clothed. Handbags on the beach.
Their mum was found dead in a lake 16 yrs ago in Birmingham.
Police have reviewed 100’s of hours og cctv footage and nothing.
What the actual fuck?!

We should all be shouting for answers.

Shouting at whom? And why should they answer?

Why do you think that would be a more effective way of finding the answers than the Coroner's inquest, which will be held once all the evidence has been gathered?

Exactly!

Shouting for answers indeed 🙄

They also had another cousin/sister who went missing. They did a go fund me and made about £40k. Then she was found in America.

A cousin or a sister? Which is it?

So awful and upsetting. How could all three end up in the sea at 5am? They weren't young teenagers. Enough public interest and shouting for answers and hopefully the authorities will investigate with enough resources.

Awful reminder of Blessing Olusegun

@ProudCat but why would you go down the beach in the early hours of the morning when it was cold and rough in the first place? I dont get it. Its not an inviting area to be and especially considering that their mother drowned and the trauma that went with that

A lot of people get silly after drink. I often see people down around the Brighton beach area after a night out.

We're taking this down as possible misinformation of an active case.

Why hasn’t that been reported then? BBC still saying there’s no evidence.

There won't be any definite information until the inquest where all of the witnesses, CCTV and medical tests will be revealed.

Yes thats very plausible. The family insisting they would never drink or go clubbing kind of made it seem more incongruous

the80sweregreat · 27/05/2026 21:27

No cctv of them at the clubs or wandering down to the beach ? That is strange. Especially if they were out on the town that night. The poster below said the cctv can pick them out on the water, but maybe it’s not clear.

Someone will come along and tell us not to speculate but I agree with you OP. We should all be shouting for answers.

Who do you think owes you an explanation, and for what?

I had a bad feeling the moment the Go Fund Me appeared. Stands at £43k so far.

What costs is it to supposedly cover?

You know something because you know someone who knows someone who said …

I presume they have to do an inquest into their deaths, and official things first?

Notabarbie · 27/05/2026 21:28

I can understand how it could happen but the fact that their mother died in similar circumstances casts it in a new light.

I think all the CCTV has not been released yet

Maybe because it's an ongoing coronial investigation

?

What are you suggesting?

Notsosweetcaroline · 27/05/2026 21:31

They were not drinking, they were tee total. It looks like this maybe quiet to keep the families privacy, as in it may have been deliberate.

Specialneedsnightmare · 27/05/2026 21:31

It's certainly weird but history has a bad habit of repeating itself whether people want it to or not. It's horribly ironic that the girls drowned 16 years after their mother but it doesn't seem like a suicide. I think it's more likely they were drinking/partying and went for a paddle before one or both got into trouble. The inquest is, I believe, on friday so there will probably be more information then.

JMSA · 27/05/2026 21:31

Fullofpudding · 27/05/2026 21:24

Too much weirdness in one family.

Backedoffhackedoff · 27/05/2026 21:33

I don’t think it’s weird in itself, but there are some weird conspiracies I’ve heard today basically saying the family have form for disappearing and dying in exchange for a few grand go fund me which seems a bit unlikely.

i guess the police are pretty clear that they did. Indeed pull their bodies dead out of the water, so not sure what the con can be

bluelightsky · 27/05/2026 21:33

GoodkneeBadKnee · 27/05/2026 21:29

So what do you think happened? Any of you?

Well there can only be a few options:

  1. One or more of them were suicidal and deliberately went in (the others tried to rescue but drowned)
  2. It was a horrible accident and they all fell in
  3. They were murdered

Police are saying it’s not 3.

Do you often repeat things reported 3rd hand by complete strangers, or do you just save it for when people die in tragic circumstances?

I think this is most likely too.
