The three sisters who died in the sea in Brighton

This is sooo dodgy. There’s no recent photos of them, no one knows why they were there.
They were fully clothed. Handbags on the beach.
Their mum was found dead in a lake 16 yrs ago in Birmingham.
Police have reviewed 100’s of hours og cctv footage and nothing.
What the actual fuck?!

Definitely the case. But as the family said they weren’t into drinking or clubbing so why would they be out that late then. I do think they’ve had drinks though despite what their family say.

How would the family know what they were doing. The women were not teenagers.

5ish, 5.45. That’s the guesstimate of the time they were there.

Isn’t that the time their bodies were found?

it’s not the time that they went into the water

Backedoffhackedoff · 28/05/2026 16:17

The multiple posts about drinking and clubbing make it feel like people can’t understand how anyone can take risks/ commit suicide/ have an accident without being pissed.

your late at night pissed coming out of the club is another persons waking up early and taking a sunrise walk.

they didn’t appear to be in the slightest social, in fact they appear quite isolated. If I had to take a wild guess it’s a damaged family from a likely abuser father/ husband. Funny how so many women in his life have come to peril.

I think they’ve established they were not in any of the clubs along the beach front.

There are quite a few bars and clubs away from the beach front where they could’ve gone first.

I’m saying what the family said they didn’t do, eg drink or clubbing. That’s their statement. What these women did without their knowledge we don’t know we can only guess.

I don’t personally think they were drunk. Had a couple/few drinks maybe. Probably a meal before that. Or maybe they didn’t drink alcohol at all but had a night out on mocktails/soft drinks and just fell off:overbalanced when by the sea. As others said it’s easy to fall off that part of the beach.

That’s true yes.

Scarlettjune · 28/05/2026 16:24

I think it’s very simple. One slipped and fell in, the others dies trying to help her. That’s it.

I think it was suicide

(which is also very simple)

Uf you read the link to the Times article, it is clear they were part of a close family. They were also regular church goers, and had no friends. I think the family had a good understanding of who the sisters were and that the aunt is right when she said the sisters didn’t drink.

And then one more goes in to the water to try and save the other two?

Delatron · 28/05/2026 16:27

From what I’ve read this isn’t an avenue the police are pursuing and the family are backing that up. If they were in a club or bar there would have been CCTV evidence and also card transactions most likely. There would be CCTV along the streets going in to the bar and club.

The family do seem keen to dispel the rumours that they were clubbing, drunk and fell in to the sea. This is either because both them and the police know more than we do (and speculating they were drunk when they weren’t is upsetting). Or it is true and the family don’t have a clue what they get up to.

TenTenTenAgain · 28/05/2026 16:30

I know that rumours are certainly not fact , but lots of the young people in the area are thinking that this was a suicide.

Families can really never know through. People often tell their families what the families want to hear.

I wrote before, I knew a Muslim man. His family all thought that he never touched alcohol. He told them that.

when he was away from his family, he drank alcohol a lot

But why are alcohol and clubs apparently so important to this story? I don’t get it.

@TenTenTenAgain I think suicide is most likely and not even sure why it matters- what difference does it make? It’s an obvious explanation, and a common one.

TenTenTenAgain · 28/05/2026 16:34

@Backedoffhackedoff I was simply sharing a local rumour.

Oh I know you were. What I meant was why is it even a rumour? It’s not scandalous like rumours usually are. It’s a pretty logical outcome, it doesn’t need to be a rumour as you could just take a guess and be pretty likely to be right

Come on, isn’t that odd to you? No friends in the church congregation then, only family? For all three of them?

Nobody knows how close the auntie is to each of the three women. Auntie could be one of the parent’s friends or someone who just goes to the same church.

I’ve heard a different local rumour

It’s weird how the photo the father gave press included him. Weird that it was twenty years ago too but I find it strange that he wanted a photo with him in it.

No. One falls in and both go in trying to save her. Unlikely one would just stand and watch until they'd both got into trouble

Scarlettjune · 28/05/2026 16:50

They could really use some lifeguards down at Brighton beach.

i was down there today. People were swimming very far out

It’s likely one would call for help or/and go and get help.

It's very hard to protect people from their own stupidity, I'm afraid.

I don’t really get these points. I mean, they didn’t go and get help did they? So why are you saying that’s what they’d be likely to do?
