The three sisters who died in the sea in Brighton

This is sooo dodgy. There’s no recent photos of them, no one knows why they were there.
They were fully clothed. Handbags on the beach.
Their mum was found dead in a lake 16 yrs ago in Birmingham.
Police have reviewed 100’s of hours og cctv footage and nothing.
What the actual fuck?!

No obviously all three wouldn’t fall at the same time.

one of them probably fell, got swept away, and the other two died trying to save her.

So late at night at a time of day that wasn’t in the least bit warm they go to the beach just for the sake of it? No, I don’t think so.

I live in Brighton and I have walked back myself from nights out, along the road that is beside the beach. People are there on the beach at all hours of the night.

Brighton parties go on all night especially as Brighton is full of students. People go to nightclubs then back to party in flats. People are on the beach at all hours during the night

At 5am/ first light the beach would've been beautiful. I agree one must've slipped off something and the others tried rescuing her. It's tragic.

There are no reports at all that they’d been on a night out. They were also dressed in ‘normal’ clothes.

didn’t someone on here write that they were in Brighton on a night out celebrating the sister getting out of debt?

what’s normal clothes. I wore a normal coat, top and trousers to a bar on my last night out

Scarlettjune · 28/05/2026 15:01

Tragic. I’ve never swam in the seas as I’ve always been afraid of strong waves and sharp rocks. The sea is strong

That was when they were found, nobody knows when they entered the water.

I think it’s really unlikely that all three fell.

So if your sister fell in the sea and was in peril you would just say ‘oh well, never mind’? Confused

People drown all of the time trying to save other people. Strangers, never mind their own sister.

Exactly. It wouldn't be a case of them all falling in at once. More likely one fell and got swept out and the others tried to help

“Ordinary daytime clothes, not going out clothes” according to their stepmother.

The person I quoted implied all three fell at the same time.

Going into the water to try and save your sister isn’t falling, not that I think is what happened.

Maybe they had got up to
watch the sunrise on the beach in memory of their mother and one of them got a little too close to the edge and fell in/ was swept in by a wave. The others went to help.

The family said they don’t go out and drink or go to clubs and don’t believe they were wearing going out clothes. Now I dress quite casually when I go out but maybe they were wearing sports gear or something that really didn’t scream ‘we’ve been out for a night out’.

The police must know where they stayed in Brighton and have more idea of timings than they are releasing. If the phones were in their bags then that’ll have all the location data and transaction data. Bank accounts will show where they have been and spent money. CCTV everywhere including on all transport.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 28/05/2026 15:31

You’d have to be pretty close to the water just to fall in, but if you had heels on then that’s possible.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 28/05/2026 15:35

I heard before that one of them had recently cleared debt and the trip was a celebration of that. I just don’t know what you’d be doing there at the time they were. Most people if they’re out are either drinking or clubbing, and if they’re staying there (Brighton) they’re back in their hotel rooms at that time, asleep.

HelenaWilson · 28/05/2026 15:48

I just don’t know what you’d be doing there at the time they were.

What time was that?

All that's definitely known publicly is the time someone reported concern for a person in the water. There's been no information about what time she may have gone into the water.

I expect the police know more, and it will form part of the evidence given at the inquest.

TenTenTenAgain · 28/05/2026 15:54

@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain my daughter was travelling back to halls from Quarters (the club the 3 women were initially thought to have been at) at about the time the 3 women were found. So I did wonder if they'd been out drinking myself , it's not impossible even if their family thought they were teetotal.

The clubs along there close at 4. They may have sat on the beach for an hour or so and watched it get light, and then decided to go for a paddle. I have gone down to the water's edge to admire the power of nature before, after coming out of a club along that stretch at God knows what time in the morning. Cool water for aching feet after a long night out is very tempting.

Delatron · 28/05/2026 16:01

I think they’ve established they were not in any of the clubs along the beach front.

I was just down at Brighton beach ten minutes ago, and looking around, I was just thinking there are so many places that someone could fall off. There is a high rock walkway for example that you can sit on, someone could sit on the edge of that, lose balance and fall off.

Scarlettjune · 28/05/2026 16:10

If one of them fell though and there were three of them. Wouldn’t you think that one of them would jump in and the other one would telephone for help. Maybe they got swept up in panic in the moment.

I was last there in January and didn’t really see any ledges from where to fall down from but then again I wasn’t looking for any.

Did you go for paddles with your shoes on?

Definitely the case. But as the family said they weren’t into drinking or clubbing so why would they be out that late then. I do think they’ve had drinks though despite what their family say.

No as she had shoes on, presumably she fell in

5ish, 5.45. That’s the guesstimate of the time they were there.
