Yes or no? Anyone got a set and are they any good? As good as weights?

Very different from barbell or dumbbell weights as TRX are all about resistance training, using your own body weight and gravity to build strength. I really like using them in combination with traditional weights for strength training, and also to develop balance for calisthenics.

I use them in conjunction with weights and climbing.

I’m a climber predominantly, and use hoops to work tension

what exercises? apart from ring pulls are really good with a trx also massive price difference! X

Not sure in price difference between hoops (or rings) and trx… my dh bought the hoops and they’re permanently up in our lounge.

I mostly do extension exercises. T & Y, superman. Plus pulls/rows.

I got the dupe from Lidl a couple of years ago, I find the originals too expensive for the amount of time I thought I’d use them…
However, I really love them.
keep in mind that you’d need quite some space around your doorframe for many of the exercises.

Coming back to say I have my own rings, that I use loads, and would probably choose over TREX if I didn’t have access to the TREX at the gym. Our gym used to have rings too but they kept going missing and eventually they stopped replacing them.
OP, what you need will v much depend on what you are trying to achieve. What are your main goals?
