Kettle bell routine and weights recommendations?

I was recently given a 6kg kettle bell and wondered if anyone had any advice on where to get started with online routines.

I also use 2 kg dumbbells (I worked up from 0.5 kg ☺️ a year ago) for Pilates, and I'm finding these much easier now, so I wonder if I need to increase these or if it's fine for Pilates.

I'd like to get into 'proper' weights at some point, but I'm guessing that would need to be done at the gym?

Thanks in advance

Am a complete beginner too and have quite liked joe wicks. He seems quite ‘nice’ and non-threatening for a wobbly middle-aged beginner like me! Loads of people on MN like Caroline Girvan but I’ve tried her videos before and not loved them. Good luck!

If you can find a gym that’s easy to get to and you can fit into your routine I would do that. Having access to a wider range of weights to progress with training is much better.

Thanks both.

I think I might have to try the gym and get some sort of guidance. I'm not a beginner to exercise as I run four times a week and do Pilates and yoga. It's just that my upper body strength has always been dreadful, and it's taken me up to a year to get to the 2kg dumbbells, but weights have been really beneficial and has helped with my running and stamina, so I'd like to do more!

Google Caroline Girvan Kettlebell series. She has loads of free KB Workouts.
