Strength training programs

I’m looking at getting back in to lifting. I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a good strength training program. We have a barbell, rack, bench and weights in the garage.

Basically I’m not good at coming up with what to do on my own and would love an online program or pdf that could just say each day: X lift for Y reps .

Thanks

If you're just starting out again, you could try one of the classic beginner programes: Starting Strength or Strong Lifts.

Meg Squats is great, but I haven't used her paid-for programme, Strong Friends.

I started lifting in lockdown and I do Stronglifts 5 X 5. You just need the app on your phone. I follow Megsquats on insta/yt for inspo and usually watch a few YT videos each week to help me improve my form. Good luck! I absolutely love it!!

After a certain point Stronglifts often turns into Starting Strength as the 5x5 lifts become too taxing and transition into 3x5 ad the weight on the bar increases.

Ooh I've just started StrongLifts this week! Started just squatting the bar and a deadlift of 40kg so hoping I'll get beginners gains! Blush
It's very exciting though. Even though I can't go up and down stairs today! Grin
