I want to start lifting weights at home.what do I need? I already have dumbells.
Do a need a bench of some kind?
Any good workouts to follow?

I started running a couple of months ago and though I could do some weights on my running rest days as I'm feeling rubbish when I don't exercise and don't want to run every day and risk injury.

I have a compact home gym setup. For weights, there is a multi-gym machine with a bench, a squat rack and loads of free weights that I can use with dumbells or full width bars.

However, most of my weights exercises over the lockdown period have been done using body weight, resistance bands and kettle bells. It must have been effective as I got loads of compliments on my muscle definition when I went started back the gym last week.

BTW pretty well all my equipment has been bought second hand. I expect there will be loads of stuff coming up on ebay as lockdown eases.

Ah good thinking, I bet loads of people bought equipment they won't need after starting back at the gym Smile
