I want to start building up my muscles but don't know where to start. What kind of foods should I be eating and what do I need to totally avoid? I'm petite 5ft and generally I have always eaten whatever I want in moderation. I'm around 8 stone and I go to the gym twice a week but I'm also training for a half marathon. Every morning I eat 2-3 poached eggs with 2 slices of wholemeal toast plus a banana. Then the rest of the day usually a sandwich or soup for lunch and then some form of pasta for dinner with veg. I snack sometimes to just crisps or a kitkat. I don't have huge portions except breakfast and I walk on average 5 miles a day. I'd love some definition in my abs and more toned legs and butt. I have toned arms and definition in shoulders but I still just look small.
