I love my routine but suspect there are far more efficient ways to train

currently, partic in term time, often have 3 consecutive days (so Chest and Tri, Back and Bi, Legs and Shoulders with a 4th All Body day at weekend in which do bits that maybe didn't have time for during week)

goal is mostly to preserve lean mass at the moment, interested in alternative splits though, thanks

I do: 1 leg day with focus on squats. 2nd day: chest and back 3rd day shoulders and triceps 4th: legs with focus on deadlifts + biceps. I also do Olympic lifts on both leg days.

Not sure if I'm doing it right but I like it. My deadlifts have definitely improved by just doing them once a week.

that's good to hearr! did you put your routine together with a personal trainer or did it just sort of evolve by itself?

I train every other day with a 3 way split so slightly more frequently than once a week

Im generally stronger like this than I am with more frequent training
