Does anyone want a tarot card pull?

I need to get my eye back in as I'm planning to get back in the swing of offering readings again in my local area.
I've been out of the loop for a couple of years, so I'm happy to do a few readings on here, because you'll be helping me just as much as I may be able to help you.
I should point out that my readings are not based on any psychic ability; I believe that each card contains multitudes and that normally a topic is discovered through back and forth during a reading, so forgive me if these seem a bit dry. If you could give me an area to focus on I'd be obliged, as with just a single card pull there's not always a huge amount to go on.
Let's limit it to the first 10 people and we'll see how we go.

@MagicalMystical I pulled the 6 of cups for you and this is sometimes known as the Nostalgia card, as it represents the pleasure we have in memories, often ones from our childhood. It can indicate a desire to reconnect with people from our past, with old flames and childhood friends. It can suggest that you would benefit from embracing your inner child, and the sense of innocence and joyfulness that can bring about. Let memories inspire you, if not just for the enjoyment of reminiscing, but possibly in art, poetry, writing. Brush up on forgotten skills!
However, the card can also caution us against wearing rose coloured specs when thinking about 'the good old days' and the belief that Nothing Good Happens These Days. It can be too easy to go down that path and blank out unpleasant experiences, so try and remember the less pleasant experiences along with the good ones.

Thank you so much. I interpret this as being to do with losing my lovely Dad recently and this has connected me to memories of my past with him and certainly the rose tinted specs have come out. The stuff about reconnecting with art, poetry etc really resonates too. Thank you again. Xx

Dear PracticalTarot, thank you for your kind offer. Please can I have a card pulled about my work/career(IT) in general. After being out of work for a whole year I joined a new job last April. Am grateful for the income but my company(ITConsulting) expects a 70 hr week which is difficult for me to put in as a single mum. I now find myself without a role and fear that I will be shown the door. Am I losing relevance in my field and no longer good at what I do? Will I find a fulfilling role soon or am going to be shown the door? Boss really hates me and that has affected my confidence.

Really appreciate your help with this challenging situation. Maybe Tarot can show me the way forward.
🙏

PracticalTarot · 16/01/2025 08:07

@MagicalMystical I'm so sorry to hear about your lovely Dad. I hope you have nothing but good memories of his love for you . x

@cattreetower I pulled the five of pentacles for your question. All the fives are difficult cards, and this one can refer to a time in relationships when one is feeling 'out in the cold' or receiving the cold shoulder from someone. There are lots of facets to the fives -sometimes with this card there is the implication that more can be done to bring about a reconciliation, but due to sheer bloody mindedness, a person would rather stick with their set opinions and not choose to see the other person's side of the argument. There can be a turning away from love, from help and charity, even though there are people who are more than willing to help. With this card, the central question to ask yourself is -who is the source of my unhappiness? Is it someone else, or is it me? There is help available if it is you, but you need to recognise that it is there for the taking.

Hi @PracticalTarot, if you hand time I'd appreciate a card. I have a deck myself but very tentative with them at the moment.

My angst is around my job. It feels secure but as a menopausal woman, grieving my parent, I feel insecure and I let myself get affected by dealing with some difficult execs, to the point my bp is elevated before meetings. Not healthy! But I need the money for a good while longer so can't step back yet and nor would I find this salary elsewhere due my experience in the company I'm in.

Sorry that's long winded, not sure what the cards can make of that! Thank you

TravelInsuranceQ · 16/01/2025 09:01

Hi @PracticalTarot
I'd appreciate a card if you have time.
There's a lot of change going on at work at the moment - will I be impacted now or will I still be working here in 2 years time?
Many thanks!

Yes please 🙏 x

@SugarPlumpFairyCakes I pulled the ten of wands for you. Generally, this is a card that appears when we are overburdened, or burnt out. We are carrying far too much responsibility, and the weight of other people's expectations weigh heavily on us. It can refer to a project that you are determined to get over the finish line despite the toll it is taking on you. The end is in sight, and is probably nearer than it feels, but you can't see the wood for the trees. This is the card of ploughing on relentlessly, even if the path you are treading is not the best one for you. It can be the card of staying in a job that is no longer the right fit for you, when actually, a new role is closer and more achievable than you think, if you were to just look around. It can indicate that you don't always make things easy for yourself, that you can, perhaps, allow yourself to slip into a slightly martyred way of thinking. Fundamentally, the card asks you to try a different approach, a different way of thinking, a new tack to make life easier for yourself.

Hi, would love to know if there's going to be a change in my circumstances. Life is a bit horrendous at the moment.

Hi. I'd love to know how my career will go this year. There are constant redundancies at my company and I'm worried I'll get caught up in them.

MorrisZapp · 16/01/2025 09:15

What a beautiful writer you are. I could read these all day.

PracticalTarot · 16/01/2025 09:23

@seriouslyfunny I pulled the four of pentacles for you, which has already come up for a PP. It largely covers matters to do with financial security -this could mean a desire for security when people have got into difficulties with handling money. It can represent saving, or repayment plans, or generally just trying to make money stick around. This is not the card you want to see if you are thinking of making a risky financial investment. This is very much a 'stick' not a 'twist' card!
It can also be the card of the miser, or someone who hoards resources and knows the price of everything and the value of nothing. In which case the card is a gentle reminder to loosen up a little and enjoy the comforts that money can provide. It terms of careers, it can either be advising someone to stay in their career, or that potentially, they might have become a little institutionalised and that a change might be a good thing. It's a tricky card to call, but as I guessed that your query comes from a place of worry, I pulled another card to clarify, which was the beautiful 10 of pentacles, which is one of the Tarot's 'everything turns out well in the end' cards. So whatever the struggle now, she's on the right path.

@stoppostingreminder You asked me to pull a general card, and you got the four of wands. It's a lovely card, which traditionally can imply a house move, or a relocation, or a decision to stay put. Whichever way you spin it, this card revolves around the home, and where you put down roots. If you are considering renovations, this card encourages you to go for it, even if you're just thinking about changing the blind in the kitchen. The card also has a habit of appearing at points in people's lives when they are emerging from a significant life stage -this is a classic the kids are off to uni/have got married/had kids themselves card. You may have put your life on hold for some reason, but now is the time to emerge and get back into the swing of things. This card is the foundation from which all happiness grows; it represents strong foundations and happy unions. It can show a peaceful retirement, rewarding friendships and joyful family life. It is a card of ease, smoothing over bumps in the road, pouring oil on troubled waters. Lucky you -enjoy the coming period of peace!
