Does anyone want a tarot card pull?

I need to get my eye back in as I'm planning to get back in the swing of offering readings again in my local area.
I've been out of the loop for a couple of years, so I'm happy to do a few readings on here, because you'll be helping me just as much as I may be able to help you.
I should point out that my readings are not based on any psychic ability; I believe that each card contains multitudes and that normally a topic is discovered through back and forth during a reading, so forgive me if these seem a bit dry. If you could give me an area to focus on I'd be obliged, as with just a single card pull there's not always a huge amount to go on.
Let's limit it to the first 10 people and we'll see how we go.

Oh I'd love one OP.

Any relationships on the horizon? And/or how will my job on secondment go, will it turn into a permanent role?

PracticalTarot · 15/01/2025 20:25

@RoundandSad The card I pulled for you is the ten of swords. It's never an easy card, as it's represented by a figure lying face down with ten swords buried in their back. It can indicate a number of things -firstly, that you literally feel as though you have been 'stabbed in the back' by someone. The card, because it is such a dramatic one, does ask us to examine that feeling and see if it holds as much water as we initially thought, as it can be easy to apportion blame to someone else and take the moral high ground.
Secondly, the card is about endings. The sense of finality in this card is huge. It can represent the end of an entire relationship, or just a phase within it. It is often a card of loss. It tells us not to flog a dead horse for a second longer.
Thirdly, the card can be about a time when you just feel that you are at rock bottom. The only way that you can go is up, and the wonderful thing about this card which does at first appear quite bleak, is that on the horizon, under a black sky, a new dawn is breaking. The card requires a lot of work from the querant, but the rewards can be great.

@paranoiaofpufflings Your card is The King of Cups. In terms of careers and expanding your skill set, he would suggest the arts, media, the charity sector, psychoanalysis, counselling and also, sometimes health related careers. (Because his card is represented by the sign of Pisces, he is often associated with addiction, drug use (and rehabilitation!))
He's a paternal, thoughtful man who can guide you, so the suggestion would be to take heed of other people's advice when it comes to any changes -particularly from those people who know you well. He represents an intuitive approach, or even a career in which you would need to rely on your intuition and emotions. Even when not thinking of careers, this card is the encouragement we sometimes need to take up a hobby, or do something for ourselves that soothes the soul for no other reason than it feels good.

Thank you so much 🙏🏻 I really appreciate it. And it does connect with my thoughts and where I am in life, so all very inspiring!

JustDumped · 15/01/2025 20:38

CurlsandCurves · 15/01/2025 20:42

I’d really appreciate it if you could pull a card for me, if you have the time.

Got some family and personal health issues.

@Bizarred I pulled the Page of cups for you, and because the court cards, especially Pages, can mean quite a few things, and their meaning is sometimes a bit opaque, I pulled another card to balance it, and that was the Knight of cups. So there are a few things going on here with regards to money, first of which, very simply is that other people will be instrumental in your financial dealings. The dynamic between cups and wands is a classic head/heart dichotomy, so there would be a warning to not be led by either, but let reason be your guide. There is a possibility that a new relationship could sway you into spending or investing money in a new venture but I would caution against going into anything without having done due diligence first. I think that the cards are warning against sudden, rash spending, that slow and steady wins the race.
The page can also represent travel -not huge emigration type travel, but short bursts of activity, which may be unexpected, so it may also be highlighting that unforseen expenses may occur.

Yes please. In a quandary whether we should sell our house and move from town to country.

lalaloopsy83 · 15/01/2025 20:52

Yes please

PracticalTarot · 15/01/2025 20:59

@MagicalMystical I pulled the 6 of cups for you and this is sometimes known as the Nostalgia card, as it represents the pleasure we have in memories, often ones from our childhood. It can indicate a desire to reconnect with people from our past, with old flames and childhood friends. It can suggest that you would benefit from embracing your inner child, and the sense of innocence and joyfulness that can bring about. Let memories inspire you, if not just for the enjoyment of reminiscing, but possibly in art, poetry, writing. Brush up on forgotten skills!
However, the card can also caution us against wearing rose coloured specs when thinking about 'the good old days' and the belief that Nothing Good Happens These Days. It can be too easy to go down that path and blank out unpleasant experiences, so try and remember the less pleasant experiences along with the good ones.

@ponygirlcurtis I pulled the nine of swords for you, which is a card which can represent paralysing fears -absolute keep you up at night heart thumpers, to the extent that you really doubt yourself and your abilities. But the wonderful thing about this card is that although there are nine huge swords present on the wall of the room, they are not touching the figure who is so worried about them. They are no threat to her at all. All the worry and fear they have is completely in their own mind. This is a card that says that the only person stopping you from getting what you want is yourself and your own sense of doubt and insecurity. I pulled another card to clarify, which was the page of pentacles - a card that suggest new ventures linked to money, learning and schooling. You may find that you need to add a little to your practical abilities in order to make sure that your creative life can really take off.

@PracticalTarot thank you so much. I have a quote on my vision board: 'You'll do great things - if you let yourself.' I am very guilty of getting in my own way with my writing. And I have also been looking at retraining in my day job. Thank you for your time and your clarity. 🩷

@PracticalTarot I have gone through and read all of your readings, I just love the way you talk about the cards, it gives them such grounding and personality. Thank you for your service tonight. Can I ask how you learned to read tarot, and how long it took? I have had a deck for a couple of years and really appreciate being able to check in with them/myself but don't know if I am retaining anything about the nature of each card!
