Does anyone want a tarot card pull?

I need to get my eye back in as I'm planning to get back in the swing of offering readings again in my local area.
I've been out of the loop for a couple of years, so I'm happy to do a few readings on here, because you'll be helping me just as much as I may be able to help you.
I should point out that my readings are not based on any psychic ability; I believe that each card contains multitudes and that normally a topic is discovered through back and forth during a reading, so forgive me if these seem a bit dry. If you could give me an area to focus on I'd be obliged, as with just a single card pull there's not always a huge amount to go on.
Let's limit it to the first 10 people and we'll see how we go.

@PracticalTarot I'd very much like one, if you are able. Specifically to do with my health.

@madmumofteens You asked about your son, that you are worried about him and whether he would find a job soon.
The card I have for you is the seven of swords. Traditionally, this is a card that rears its head when there is cheating or lying going on. It is known as 'The Thieves' card.' It normally comes along when we already have our suspicions about someone -it is the typical card to be pulled when someone has an idea that their spouse is being unfaithful.

So with that in mind, is there a possibility that your son is not giving you the full picture about something? The problem with this card is that it normally indicates someone who is quite proficient in telling lies. They know how to make it seem believable and they know just what to leave out so as not to worry you unnecessarily. I should add, it doesn't always mean actual criminal behaviour! (although it does cover that too).

It can also be the card that says, just leave well enough alone. You deal with whatever is in front of you, and no more. Otherwise, that way madness lies and you will tie yourself up in knots worrying.

I pulled another card to ask about his career and the four of swords came up. So that's two swords cards. Swords deal with thought, worry, and mental processes. This is a card that shows us that we are possibly reaching burnout from stress and should take a little step back to focus on ourselves, and prioritise self care and positive thoughts. Whether that is you or your son is hard to see from this -it could mean that your son is worried about study/finding a job because he is worried how you will react, or it could be because he hasn't given you the full picture as to what is going on.

Either way, because swords also govern mediation, it's probably time you had a heart to heart with him. All the best.

No doubt I’m way back in the queue, but I’d like a reading concerning health and emotional aspects of my situation , marriage etc.

loopyluloopy · 29/01/2025 17:28

Me please :)

loopyluloopy · 29/01/2025 17:29

Yes please around marriage

Touty · 29/01/2025 17:31

Yes please around work/jobs I’m not sure which direction I should be moving in.

madmumofteens · 29/01/2025 17:33

Thank you so much @PracticalTarot you've certainly given me food for thought he does keep his cards very close to his chest and any attempts to help him or to get him to open up difficult to say the least. I am trying to trust him and not stress out too much about it all as it is impacting my health so I will try and step back

7catsisnotenough · 29/01/2025 17:39

@PracticalTarot - thank you so much for the reading! Your words have really hit home in a positive way for me. I've dropped a day a week as of the 1st and was worried that I had made a mistake. Basically I felt that I needed some downtime to regroup, look after myself and regain some control over my life so your reading really resonated with me. The creativity side is finding the time to get back to doing things like sewing (clothes etc) and cooking creatively rather than just to eat iyswim?

Thank you again for taking the time (and expending the energy) to do the reading, I really appreciate it 💐x

TY78910 · 29/01/2025 17:39

Yes please!
I'd like to know about where my relationship is going and work

CaraCameleon · 29/01/2025 17:41

PracticalTarot · 29/01/2025 16:02

@CaraCameleon I know you did, but unfortunately it was a day later, by which time I already had an exercise book full of everyone else! 😀

Ok sorry

GoldVermillion · 29/01/2025 17:43

I would. Will my eldest (adult) child be ok?

GoldVermillion · 29/01/2025 17:54

Sorry. Meant to say please!

PracticalTarot · 29/01/2025 17:56

@SilverLininh you asked about romance and career. For relationships, I turned over The Hermit. I think this is the first time he has shown himself in these readings!
His message is to take time for ourselves. He represents self reflection, solitude and a time of introspection. If we have not made peace with ourselves, how can we expect anyone else to? He may stand for a partner that we have who is supportive and who has all these qualities, but normally he acts as a prompt for us to take some time and analyse what it is we actually want from a relationship, before committing ourselves to entering into one. Sometimes he is the indication that it's also fine to be alone -if you are someone who has spent most of their adult life in one relationship or another he can serve as a reminder to remember who we are at heart. So whilst this isn't an Ace of wands situation, it could be in the future if you take the time to find out what it is you actually want.

With career in mind, I pulled Judgement. Judgement comes towards the end of the Major Arcana, when the Fool is starting to pull together all the lessons he has learnt on his journey. In career terms, it can mean just that -judgement. Other people may sit in judgement of us, and we of them. There might be an appraisal or review upcoming. It can also represent a promotion. It can also stand for a time when we -like the Hermit has already shown us- take time to think about the things that are truly important to us. We might want to be able to give something back, or do more work in the community or volunteering. It is a card that asks us to be dispassionate about any decisions we have to make, but to see them with clear an honest eyes.

Oh yes me please! Thank you!

PracticalTarot · 29/01/2025 18:15

@losingpatiencetoday Your card is the Queen of Pentacles. The court cards either represent a person who is important to us at the time of the reading, or her qualities make up part of the wider question you are asking.

You asked about your career choices. This Queen is normally an older, more mature woman. She is well to do, confident, and quite possibly is someone active in her community with charities and good deeds. She asks us to look inward at the qualities we have such as resourcefulness, capability and patience, and how these attributes can be used for good. The traditional areas she covers are things like management, finances, banking, investment, accountancy and any job where a steady, practical mind is welcomed.
I pulled another card for you with regards to what areas you might consider focussing on, and it was the 6 of pentacles. So again, finances are highlighted, but this card has more to do with charitable, not for profit enterprises, or social equality.

I’m loving this. I’m looking through the thread to see how close I’m getting!

FiloPasty · 29/01/2025 18:33

PracticalTarot · 28/01/2025 11:46

@FiloPasty The card I have for you is the 6 of pentacles. It is a card of charity. It can be a card of making sure everyone else is ok before we look at our own resources and whether or not we have the capacity to do that. It could be that someone else is caring for us and they are running out of energy to do so.

It can be a card of obligation, and the sense of resentment which can arise on each side of that. It can ask us to seek help from the wider community, such as support groups, or accessing talking therapies. It can be a bit of an opaque card, so I drew another for you, which was The Hierophant.

This cards asks us to not draw too much attention to ourselves. It is a card which says that sometimes, the tried and tested methods that we have of dealing with things might be for the best. For now. It can conversely be the card of someone who is feeling beaten down by that conformity and who is seeking a way to break out. I wasn't sure which, so I pulled a final card.

The Knight of Wands is a very definite indication that action would be for the best. That could mean that, health wise , literally becoming more active would be a good idea, or it might be that just generally you need to find a new way of being in order to be at peace with yourself.

Thank you so much. This all makes so much sense to me.

PracticalTarot · 29/01/2025 18:35

@gemdrop84 You asked about goals for 2025 and the card I pulled was The Lovers.
Now, this card can just be straight up about romantic relationships -so it could be saying -if you are already in a relationship, that this year will bring more focus on what draws the two of you together, and celebrating those qualities in each other. It can certainly represent a new partnership or a new sexual relationship.

But you asked about goals, and so I think that this card may represent itself in its most archetypal manner, which is just -partnerships. The card asks us to examine how we interact with others.

If things aren't working, or if our interplay with the important people in our lives currently feels a bit off kilter, the Lovers comes to help us reconnect. On the card in my deck, what looks like Adam and Eve stand in the garden of Eden while an Angel hovers over them. It is there to help bring them together and bless their union, and to tell us that sometimes, just two people isn't enough. It may take a third person to help us in our relationships with others, and so this card can tell us that talking about our feelings -perhaps in a formalised setting like therapy or counselling- may be beneficial.
Whatever you do in the coming year, with a bit of work and an open heart, your relationships with those dear to you should flourish.

@GirlOfThe70s You say you have a health niggle. Your card is the wheel of fortune. The whole meaning of the card is about change. The cyclical nature of the wheel makes me think that whatever it is that ails you comes and goes, and is able to be forgotten while your good health is in the ascendency. As such, the wheel tells us that this could go on like this indefinitely -there will be good times, and bad times. But the constant up and down nature of it may be impacting your health long term. Do you need to take some time to get yourself back on track? This card can represent times for us when quite literally the 'wheels come off the truck.' and everything feels a bit out of control.

The card encourages us to take a holistic view of our health -a healthy mind in a healthy body and all that -one influences the other, so it would be mindful to look after your mental health as well as your physical. Sometimes the wheel is representative of the treadmill that we might feel we are pounding along on in life, and asks us what we might do to change that routine.

I asked for a card to clarify how much you should be worried about your niggle, and the card was the 2 of wands. A positive card, but one that very much puts the onus back on the querant to take control.

@PracticalTarot thank you so much! Your reading makes so much sense: I was a little ambivalent about moving to this city and have barriers in my way, but I know I definitely want to move there. Also, it's strange how the card shows a boat as this city has a maritime history. The relationship card also makes sennse- there's someone I'm very sexually attracted to- sex and attraction are very important to me in a relationship 😉 As is kindness and tenderness

PracticalTarot · 29/01/2025 19:19

@BlahblahblahyesIagree Your questions regards property. This card leapt out of the pack at me. It is the 10 of wands.
You may feel like you have been carrying this particular burden for a long time. You may well feel exhausted, or like it has been down to you to be responsible for getting this situation over the finish line. When we feel like this, it is almost impossible to lift our eyes up and see a solution to our predicament. We feel as though we just need to keep trudging along and surely, eventually, our goal will be realised.
There is something to be said for this approach. And if this were the ten of pentacles, I would say perhaps leave things as they are. Why rock the boat when the end feels so near? But we are dealing with wands here, and they always, always, ask us to try a new approach. We can become so used to following well trodden paths, that we just can't see the wood for the trees.

The card tells us to shift our burden to the other arm, and see if that feels more comfortable. If it does, we might be able to travel a little further. What would happen if we asked someone else to help us carry the burden? Could we go twice as far?
You might feel as though you are failing under the weight of everything that is currently happening. But perhaps you just need to reframe it.

I would love one please.

My question is "is my health going to deteriorate"?

memememe · 29/01/2025 19:34

If you are still able to, I'd love a reading please. I'd like to know I about my relationship and if it's a long term thing please 🙏
