Does anyone want a tarot card pull?

I need to get my eye back in as I'm planning to get back in the swing of offering readings again in my local area.
I've been out of the loop for a couple of years, so I'm happy to do a few readings on here, because you'll be helping me just as much as I may be able to help you.
I should point out that my readings are not based on any psychic ability; I believe that each card contains multitudes and that normally a topic is discovered through back and forth during a reading, so forgive me if these seem a bit dry. If you could give me an area to focus on I'd be obliged, as with just a single card pull there's not always a huge amount to go on.
Let's limit it to the first 10 people and we'll see how we go.

@MamaNewtNewt Your card is the Knight of Wands. He's all about sudden movement, and you asked about redundancy. So there is always the possibility that this is what he is signifying. However -we can interpret that two ways. He is very much the instigator of his journey -on his card he is galloping through deserts on a fiery steed, very much in control of where he is going. So do we need to reframe your question, which may be am I happy and do I want to stay here? The Knights are all about action (or, if you are the knight of pentacles, inaction) and encouragement to get up and get going. So a question would be -have you fully explored what your options are regarding redundancy -retraining or a new position? If the worst came to the worst, could you take some time out to just please yourself, travel, study for different qualifications? This card spurs us on to not take things lying down, but to research our options.

Thanks @PracticalTarot it's kind of you to take the time and gives me lots to think about.

@lovelydayIhave You asked about relationships and the coming year and your card is The Empress. She is a card of fertility -traditionally she heralds births, pregnancies and everything to do with being a mother. This can encompass your own relationship with your mother and also any existing children of your own.
Of course, it doesn't have to be a physical pregnancy, but can mean projects in the home -anything to do with creativity such as arty hobbies, decoration, clothes -all are favoured under her.
She brings ideas to fruition, so plans in the pipeline will bloom and be fruitful. She helps you make progress in all areas in your life, but particularly in personal relationships with spouses, partners and family. She encourages us to get out into Nature -she is the nearest thing that the Tarot has to a representation of Mother Earth -she encourages women to embrace the sacred feminine within and because of the association she has with Persephone, the cycles of the year, and therefore, the cycles of our bodies in harmony with the earth.
It seems this would be a good year to embrace your inner hippy!

@TravelInsuranceQ You asked about work, and if you would be in the same place in two years time. The card I pulled for you was the three of pentacles. This is a great card for questions pertaining to work as it highlights all the strengths of collaboration and teamwork, and of making plans that you can build on. It's about putting down roots and foundations professionally.

However, it isn't a passive card. It does expect you to do a fair amount of legwork. It reminds you to be the house built on rock rather than sand, if you are a Christian leaning kind. Or in everyday terms, be the little pig who built his house out of bricks. It tells us that to be prepared and willing to put in hard work now for long term gain, is the smart move.

Only you can answer if that is effort that you see being rewarded in your current workplace, but it is food for thought -is the company worth sticking with for what you will get out of it, or not?

Hello @PracticalTarot
You have very spooky timing!
I found out today that I'm at risk of redundancy and am currently thinking it might actually be a good thing for me.
I have been made redundant twice before and the first time was awful and I didn't see it coming.
I'll have to have a long think whether I want to fight to stay or not, for what could be a job that actually I don't know whether I want to do long term or not...
Thanks so much!!

Thank you so much for your reading @PracticalTarot, I very much appreciate it and it's massively helpful.

Dropsanddangles · 29/01/2025 13:52

@PracticalTarot Thank you very much for taking the time to do my reading. Also appreciate your help in interpreting the difficult cards. I’ll have to pull up my socks, deal with the situation and look for new work.
It must take a lot of time to pull cards and present the responses for us all. I wish you good luck in your practice. You’ve clearly got the magic touch.

PracticalTarot · 29/01/2025 15:43

@GiraffeGlee I pulled the Lovers for your question about Family. This is very much a card that centres all sorts of partnerships, so it could relate to your own spouse or partner, or your parent's relationship, or even your relationship with anyone in your immediate family. It normally indicates deep bonds and harmonious ties within a family, marital or otherwise.

It can come with issues around decision making and choice -I have seen this card come up many times when people want to talk about caring for elderly parents, for example -it can indicate an elephant in the room around a subject that no-one wants to address. It emphasises the need for transparency when talking others through any sort of decisions that need to be made. Which brings me to the possibility that this card can flag up a 'third person in a marriage' -only you will know which area this card is speaking to.

For your career The King of Cups was pulled. He rules all industries that require a lot of emotional awareness -so therapists, counsellors, people in an advisory or mentoring capacity. He can be someone in the arts, the media, or telling you that you should explore your artistic side a little more, whether that is within your existing job, or a role you might be thinking of. He stands for opening yourself up a little and being creative and honest in the way you deal with your career.

Edited

Yes my lovely. As I've said before, I did ask for people to give me an area to focus on. The people who just said 'Yes please!' I'm afraid I skipped over. I added you back in when you gave me a response, so I will hopefully get you before the thread runs out, but it may be a while. Thanks.

Okay thank you. I did follow my initial request with a specific focus in the next post. Sorry if it wasn’t specific enough.

@CaraCameleon I know you did, but unfortunately it was a day later, by which time I already had an exercise book full of everyone else! 😀

@Fedupcreative86 You seem to have a lot going on at the moment! This has been borne out by the card I pulled for you, which is The 6 of swords. It is a card of transition, and it physically shows someone travelling towards land on a boat.

You say you are trying to move to a new city, but I sense from this card that you may be a little ambivalent about it, or you feel that there are obstacles in the way of you (on the card, the swords are in front of the figure, indicating hindrances or negative thoughts). At first glance, this card looks sad -the people seem weary and afraid. But the sea they are on is tranquil, the approaching shoreline is near and they will reach their destination soon. What they do when they arrive is up to them. But they would be wise to try and leave the negative thoughts behind and embrace their new experiences.

I pulled a second card for relationships as I felt that the first card was more to do with your move and career, and this was the ace of Wands. It's a great card to have when thinking about relationships, as it generally represents movement, fun, new experiences, and quite frankly, it's the card you want to see if you're young, single and ready to mingle, because it's a very phallic card (it does work for all sexual orientations, but Tarot is a bit old fashioned in some respects!)

@PachinkoFreeFood You say you feel at a crossroads in your life. The card I pulled for you was the ten of Cups, which is a wonderful, positive, fulfilling card indicating a happy home life and a loving family. I tried again to get more clarity, and covered it with the nine of Cups, which is another beautiful card, known as the 'wish' card of the deck.

To be blunt, these are cards that anyone would want to see in a reading. I wonder -because we are dealing with two Cups cards here, and cups deal with emotions and feelings- if you either feel too overwhelmed by things at the moment to be able to make a decision about anything, by which I mean sometimes just deciding what to have for dinner feels like too much, or if -and hear me out- you are perhaps just a tiny bit complacent, and unable to recognise all the positive things that you currently have in your life. It's very easy to lose sight of how lucky we can be, sometimes.

So I pulled a third card, because I knew there would be more to this, and the King of Swords appeared. He can stand for, amongst other things, worries, intrusive thoughts, legal matters, divorce... or just a situation that needs a lot of clear thinking. He is an invitation to cut through the emotional fog you might currently be feeling. He can also stand for an actual person, someone who is issuing an ultimatum, or just someone who is fair and ethical. Ultimately, the King asks us to be honest with ourselves, and not to listen to our own persuasive self deception.

@PracticalTarot Thank you so much for finding the time to do my reading. I really appreciate it and there is a lot of truth to my cards. I really am very fortunate. Just lacking in the kind of love, romantic love.. that i crave.

CharlestheBold · 29/01/2025 17:03

Will you do one for me please, A man of retirement age. New career, I have ideas.

PracticalTarot · 29/01/2025 17:04

@Sockmate123 If I have understood you correctly, your question is in two parts -you asked about your relationship with your existing sister, and also about a half-sister that you have recently discovered, so I have pulled two cards for you.
Regarding your full blood sister, the card was the 6 of pentacles. This card can cut two ways -it is the card of charity, insofar as emotionally it can feel as if one person is always the giver -not just of money, but of time, energy, and emotion. The other person may be feeling a little bit like the poor relation, or that they are just accepting scraps from you -again, that can be in the form of attention, or love, not just financially.
This is a card that sometimes pops up when people have had a troubled relationship with their own parents -it may have felt that affection wasn't particularly forthcoming, or that you almost had to beg for attention from them. It can indicate people whose love is transactional, or measured in some way, rather than being unconditional. The question this card asks is -how can we change that dynamic? How can we make it work better for us?

The card for your recently discovered sister is the 10 of pentacles. This is a card of completion, of a happy home life and a settled and comfortable family. It would certainly seem to be saying that there would be little harm in pursuing contact with her and that she may actually bring positive benefits to your existing family. Good luck!
