Does anyone want a tarot card pull?

I need to get my eye back in as I'm planning to get back in the swing of offering readings again in my local area.
I've been out of the loop for a couple of years, so I'm happy to do a few readings on here, because you'll be helping me just as much as I may be able to help you.
I should point out that my readings are not based on any psychic ability; I believe that each card contains multitudes and that normally a topic is discovered through back and forth during a reading, so forgive me if these seem a bit dry. If you could give me an area to focus on I'd be obliged, as with just a single card pull there's not always a huge amount to go on.
Let's limit it to the first 10 people and we'll see how we go.

Please, please could I have a tarot card pull. My health has been very bad recently, not long out of hospital after a lengthy stay which included an operation. Thanks so much if you can do this for me x

PracticalTarot · 20/01/2025 20:02

@Shutupyoutart You asked about your health, and the card I pulled for you is the Hanged Man.

I suspect that you are in a position at the moment where you have normalised any worries or complications that you have around your health. If anyone else were to find themselves in the same set of circumstances as you, they would probably find it completely untenable and would seek help immediately. But this card can indicate that a situation may have crept up on you -the 'boiled frog' analogy is very apt here. So it may be time to take stock of your health situation and see if there are steps you can take that would ease any pains and niggles that you have. It doesn't have to be anything life threatening (although only you know what it is that worries you) for example, it could be the onset of aches and stiffness that you've been ignoring but are not getting better and which could be alleviated by stretches and yoga.

This card is also one that can indicate 'hanging around.' So delays and waits come up a a lot when this card appears. Are you waiting to see a consultant, are you on a client list and waiting to be seen, is it impossible to get appointments to see your GP so you tend to let things slide? This card means that you do have to advocate for yourself -the hanged man can represent someone who is quite laid back and doesn't really mind blending into the background, so taking a more active role feels uncomfortable.

Finally, this card is here to tell us to look at things from a different perspective -try a different approach to your normal one -sometimes we cannot change ourselves, but we can change our attitude.

@Cornecopia You wanted to know about Romance, and out came the King of Swords. If he represents a person, it is (usually) a mature man who is a bit of an intellectual heavyweight. He's all brain, this one, and can lack emotion at the expense of reason and logic, which is the thing a lot of people find thoroughly frustrating about him. He's a 'Yeah, but...' person and he likes the last word on a subject. He is, annoyingly, right quite a lot of the time.

This card also shows up in readings to remind us that these may also be qualities that we could do to develop ourselves. A little bit of time soul searching and putting on our thinking cap when we first meet someone can save us a lot of heartache in the long run. If you tend to fall into relationships with people and then wonder where it all went wrong, the King serves as a reminder to develop critical thinking skills, and not let ourselves be so blinded by infatuation that we end up with another right wally.

I pulled another card for you and it was The Tower. I suspect from this that a relationship has not long ended, or is about to end, and you are in the throws of feeling like your life has gone to shit. The great thing about The Tower is that it tells us that things are never as bad as we think, and that once all the drama has died down, we might actually be a bit relieved that the situation is over and done with.

@gemdrop84 You asked about goals for the year and the card pulled was The Page of swords. He normally heralds some news coming towards you. Because the nature of the swords is that of communication, legal dealings, politics and negotiations, it feels as though your year may involve a lot of wrangling. He can also indicate higher education, or returning to education, if that is something you have been thinking about. He covers subjects like languages, medicine, law, politics -all the cerebral stuff.

There is of course with anything like this, an implied warning to take absolute care when it comes to reading contracts, signing paperwork, checking details. Pages can be sneaky: the dark side of them can show a bit of two faced double dealing. He can represent someone who is storing up information which could be used against you at some point. I did pull a second card to clarify what the Page might be hinting at, and that card was The World, so whatever you have set your cap at this year, you should be able to achieve it before this time next year with relative ease, as long as you heed the warning of the swords to cross every t and dot every i !

@nobodysconsidered Your card is the three of cups. It is a wonderful card, showing three friends celebrating together, and so the answer to your question is a resounding yes, your child will turn a corner. I think that the card is telling you that it has been the support that you (and probably family and friends -this card is all about a group effort-) have shown in supporting and championing your child that has been a major part in that success. So whatever you're doing, keep going because it's working.

The card reminds us to celebrate every little win -no matter how small -all positives are worth acknowledging -and most of all, this is also a card of friendships, it reminds us to recognise that we can't do it without other people, so let them hold you up when you need them to.

Thank you so much, that is a lovely card and on reflection very true in terms of us all pulling together and being supportive. Thank you for your time.

PracticalTarot · 20/01/2025 20:59

@PringlePot Well, it's the Emperor, so I thought my answer to your question would be short and sweet. You asked about love in 2025, new or old. Initially, I thought Old -but then I thought, hang on...it might be both. You may have to choose between two.

On one hand, the Emperor is very definitely a manly man. He is symbolised by Aries, the Ram, the Cardinal Male sign of the zodiac. Aries is the first sign, the symbolic baby of the zodiac. He is Spring, and new beginnings. He symbolises rushing headlong into situations and going at it like a -well, like a ram. He can be everything that is great about a new relationship, the heady excitement, the devil take the hindmost attitude.

But on the other hand, the card shows him sitting on a granite throne and under his rich red robe, he is wearing a suit of armour. He is always ready for battle -he's nobody's fool. He might be the embodiment of Aries, but he is also an Aries who has gone more than once around the karmic wheel. He's an old soul and he's been here before. He has a grey beard and wears a crown -he is well respected and exudes authority and gravitas. He is often a Fatherly figure.

The question is -are they two different people or two sides to the same man?

I would love a reading please. I am really struggling with anxiety after starting a new job and wonder what to do next. Thank you, love this thread

AlwaysRoomForGin · 20/01/2025 21:04

Hello @PracticalTarot if you still have time to pull a card for me, that would be very much appreciated. 2 areas I'm in a 'struggle' with - one relating to spending versus saving for the future and the other is around the sheer volume of life-admin for the young people in my care and whether this will change for the better. Thank you

wizzbitt · 20/01/2025 21:04

Yes please. Relationships. Thanks x

Kjla9 · 20/01/2025 21:18

Me please. Fertility x

PracticalTarot · 20/01/2025 21:20

@AnnieMay2000 Your card is The Fool. You asked about your daughter, and the card often represents someone who is at a very early stage in their life - or someone who has quite an innocent outlook -someone who is coming to terms with how to interact with the world. Everything is new to The Fool - he steps out towards the edge of a cliff, barely looking where he is going with hardly a care in the world. It can be an admirable way of behaving, or it can seem foolhardy and thoughtless. It can be a symbol of someone repeating the same mistakes over and over and not listening to reason, or it can be the person who just laughs off worries and continues on regardless.

It is the card of new experiences -with children it can represent something like new school, new friendship group, university, first relationship, even marriage. It symbolises a step into the unknown, a need to take chances and throw off the shackles of overthinking and worry about other people's opinions. All we can do when the Fool shows up in a reading is give our opinions as best we can and leave the rest to fate.

@FartingAgainstThunder This is the first time that Justice has appeared, but it doesn't surprise me that it has taken this long. She is a heavyweight card, and she only seems to appear when there are serious decisions to be made.

Like the statue of Lady Justice at The Old Bailey, she holds a sword in one hand, and scales in the other. In some Tarot she is also blindfolded, the better to be able to make an impartial decision. Like Maat, the Egyptian Goddess who weighed human hearts against a feather to see that they were free from sin, and worthy of a place in the afterlife, Justice weighs the evidence in her scales. Her sword is there as a symbol of her authority, and lets us know that her decision is final.

You ask about starting your own business. This card cannot tell you yes or no, it stands instead as a warning to not take any decision lightly. You may need to take legal advice before you decide which path to go down. Justice is there for mediation and discussion -have you talked to other people about your ideas, or asked for professional opinions? If it is still a pipe dream at the moment, she is telling you that this would be a good place to start.

In terms of what area you may be thinking of for a business, she rules all manner of admin, legal work, accountancy, mediation, counselling... anything where logic and patience is an advantage.

Bixterret · 20/01/2025 21:54

Please I'd love a reading - will I find peace again after my loss?

Veryoldandtired · 20/01/2025 22:47

PracticalTarot · 19/01/2025 12:26

@Veryoldandtired The card I pulled for you to talk about your finances this year was The Lovers. It is generally a positive card -it is set it the garden of Eden, an idyllic place potentially, but somewhere we know that things are about to go very very wrong! So the card can be a warning against complacency, or even a 'snake in the grass.' It highlights partnerships, collaborations, and most importantly, choice. The obvious person the card highlights is your romantic or marriage partner, but it does extend out to wider family too.

Its warning is to think very carefully about what we are thinking of doing, check every aspect of any plans you might be making with regards to money -there may be a third person involved who you are not sure about, so it would be wise to make sure that their credentials check out before, say -investing money with them.
Normally though, this is an encouraging card that does allow you to trust that the people you are dealing with are honourable and have your best interests at heart.

Thank you!! I’m hoping it will make sense as we go along.

Shutupyoutart · 21/01/2025 06:03

@practicaltarot thank you so much that really resonates with me, I've been having various health problems lately (doesn't seem anything major isolated but altogether is more concerning) but due to a dismissive doctor I have been placing it on the back burner despite being quite concerned that something isn't quite right I'm being nagged at by my family to get a second opinion. this confirms to me that I should.also right that i am waiting for appointments. thank you, you are so kind for doing all of these readings. really appreciate it ❤️

Nextdoor55 · 21/01/2025 15:21

PracticalTarot · 19/01/2025 11:58

@Nextdoor55 Your card is the three of swords. It is a card of heartache and sadness, of difficulties and separation. This card often appears when people don't know where to turn, and can indicate someone who is at rock bottom. It is also a card that can indicate a third person in the situation -it can point to affairs, or just more general meddling.

A positive thing that can be said about this card is that as soon as you stop reacting emotionally to whatever situation you find yourself in and start applying cold hard logic, things should become easier. The card encourages us to stop wallowing, to see the situation for what it truly is, and move onwards and upwards. If something like counselling could help, do think about that. The suit of swords is all to do with communication, thoughts, logic, talking things through, mediation. It can also occasionally refer to an operation, or a stay in hospital.

This is so spot on it's absolutely right. My mother is preventing me from seeing my dad who has dementia, in fact she's isolating half of the family, but letting go is sometimes the right thing to do as the situation is untenable & we can't fight her anymore. Difficult one very tricky, but the truth is that she didn't want us involved in the first place.

BlueberryPieface · 21/01/2025 15:26

@PracticalTarot I would love a reading if you get a bit of spare time after doing everyone else.
