Does anyone want a tarot card pull?

I need to get my eye back in as I'm planning to get back in the swing of offering readings again in my local area.
I've been out of the loop for a couple of years, so I'm happy to do a few readings on here, because you'll be helping me just as much as I may be able to help you.
I should point out that my readings are not based on any psychic ability; I believe that each card contains multitudes and that normally a topic is discovered through back and forth during a reading, so forgive me if these seem a bit dry. If you could give me an area to focus on I'd be obliged, as with just a single card pull there's not always a huge amount to go on.
Let's limit it to the first 10 people and we'll see how we go.

@Run4it2 You asked for a general reading, and the Ace of wands was the card that came up. It's a lovely card, one full of hope and new passions, new beginnings, new interests. If you have projects that you are thinking of starting, this is a card that gives them the green light. It can be the impetus you need to give you a boot up the arse after a period of stagnation. Only you will know what projects you want to get started, but the wands particularly favour creative projects, so art, music, literature, -even things like gardening all come under the wand's dynamic umbrella. It also is a good card for travel, so it would encourage thinking about holidays, journeys, even day trips. Another attribute of the suit is movement -activity, fitness, health, nutrition, walking...basically you are being told to get moving, in one sense or another!

@typicaltuesdaynight You asked for what the year would bring, and your card is the Empress, I think that is the first time I've pulled her during these readings. She is the archetypal Mother, so relationships with your own mother, or yours with your children, or smaller members of your family, are highlighted. Under the Empress, we also learn what it is to BE a mother, to exercise the maternal qualities of nurturing, caregiving, warmth, patience and selflessness.

She is the card of homely comforts, of settling down and creating a welcoming, loving home. She can also indicate a birth -the pomegranates on her robe are an emblem of fertility and abundance and also have a link to Persephone and the seasons she was allowed back to earth to be with Demeter -so she represents new life returning to earth and the beginning of a new cycle. This may indicate that for you, Spring and Summer are the most fruitful times of the coming year.

@Veryoldandtired The card I pulled for you to talk about your finances this year was The Lovers. It is generally a positive card -it is set it the garden of Eden, an idyllic place potentially, but somewhere we know that things are about to go very very wrong! So the card can be a warning against complacency, or even a 'snake in the grass.' It highlights partnerships, collaborations, and most importantly, choice. The obvious person the card highlights is your romantic or marriage partner, but it does extend out to wider family too.

Its warning is to think very carefully about what we are thinking of doing, check every aspect of any plans you might be making with regards to money -there may be a third person involved who you are not sure about, so it would be wise to make sure that their credentials check out before, say -investing money with them.
Normally though, this is an encouraging card that does allow you to trust that the people you are dealing with are honourable and have your best interests at heart.

adcde123 · 19/01/2025 15:35

@middleofnowhere666 The card I have for you is The World. This is the last card of the Major Arcana, and as such, represents completion, success, harmony and the closing of a chapter. Your question regarded your husband, and health. I'm not sure if you were asking about his health, or yours, but with a card like this, it doesn't really matter as the signs are so positive.

So it would suggest that any niggles or worries will be cleared up, and news that you might be waiting on will be favourable and encouraging. She does not just represent physical completeness, but also spiritual and mental. Her message is that there is simply nothing more to be done. This cycle is complete, and you must move on from the stage you are currently at, and begin the next chapter.

@FishOnTheTrain Your card is The Queen of Swords. She is often called the Widow Queen -not because she IS a widow, but because symbolically her lesson is one of learning to go it alone, to become more self-reliant and as a result, overcome her fears and dark thoughts. She encourages us to think for ourselves, to learn to be critical of what other people tell us, not just take their words at face value.

She helps us learn resolve, stoicism and logic. She's very much a thinker. She can represent someone who is an overthinker too; her feminine energy is focused inwards, and so she turns a lot of her thoughts in on herself -she lives mostly in her head, and so her advice is not to let intrusive thoughts get the better of you. The suit of swords is all about thought, logic, ideas, intelligence and aligns with the air signs in Astrology -it can pop up for Geminis, Librans and Aquarians or those with a lot of air in their chart.

Your question was -will I ever be happy. I'm so sorry that you may be feeling down at the moment. I do understand what it is like to live life feeling as though you are trapped inside your own head. Outside of the tarot, I hope you are seeking help if you feel this way. Tarot should only ever be used as a signpost for phases in our lives -I fully believe that all of the cards are applicable for all people all of the time, they just allow us to focus on one little bit at a time. With that said, I pulled another card for you which was the 6 of wands. It is the card of success. So the two cards together say that if you can learn the lessons of the Widow Queen, you have every chance of working towards happiness. I send you all the very best, my lovely.

@PracticalTarot THANK YOU so much. You must be exhausted doing all these and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your time - pulling two is especially kind. You must be a lovely person.

I have been battling some of the worst anxiety of my life and really struggling with horrible, crippling intrusive thoughts. So this card is crazy.

I am seeking help via therapy and upping my medication too. I have screenshotted your message to keep. Thank you so so much again. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@MolluscMonday You say you have a decision regarding work to make, and the card I pulled for you was the 2 of pentacles. It is the card of balance. It shows a young man (in a curiously tall hat!) balancing two coins in a sort of perpetual juggling act. The seas behind him are choppy and the ships that sail on them look as though they might be in danger, but actually, they seem to be doing ok. Traditionally, this card is called The Lord of Harmonious Change.

So it would seem clear that the decision you have to make is between two outcomes. The nature of this card means that the outcomes can seem equally attractive -sometimes you think you've made a decision, then another really good point raises its head, and you're back where you started.

What this card can't tell you is what decision to make. It does, however, indicate that you are on the right track -because inherently the card calls on us to consider everything equally, to take emotion out of the equation and really evaluate things with a completely dispassionate gaze. Once you have done that, you will have your answer. And if it's not the answer you want, well -that also tells you something too.

@Orland0 You have asked about health for the coming year, and the card I have for you is Judgement.

On the card, Men, women and children rise from their graves, looking up in wonder as an Angel sounds a trumpet. This can be a symbol that you feel like you might have a second chance, with a renewed vigour and appetite for life -literally you may feel that you have been 'reborn' in some way -and this can apply spiritually as well as physically.

The card can mean that you are coming round after a period of ill health and you are able to stand on your own feet again. You may feel that this is due to some higher power (and by that I mean anything from medicine to yoga to meditation and so on) that has helped get you back up and at it. If this stage has not come for you yet, it may be further down the year -the cycle inherent in the Judgement card is that the suffering has to be endured before we can heal. But heal we do.

@Originalmemberr The card for you is the 7 of pentacles. You asked about your home life. This card asks us to enter a period of reflection -a pause to take stock and see how everything is ticking along. With luck, things are rolling along smoothly -everyone fed, nobody dead, as they say. But don't underestimate how hard it may have been to reach this point -the figure on the card has paused in the middle of his harvest. He looks exhausted and he probably feels undervalued -having brought all his crops to this point, he has to find the wherewithal to carry on. His job is only half done.

At this point, sometimes the overwhelming temptation to give up creeps up on us. We think -ah Sod it, and feel like throwing in the towel. After all, haven't we just been plodding away without any thanks or thought, looking after everyone else, for ages? You may feel that you have reached a crisis point, or that you are at a crossroads having to choose a path. This card can sometimes mean a house move, especially one where you may be downsizing to free up some assets.

One of the lessons of this cards is that it's perfectly ok to accept help, and stop trying to be perfect, self assured and able to do it all.

Could really do with one of these now, very kind of you x

@Meltdownoclock I pulled The King of wands for you, and The Star fell out on top of it, so I'm going to assume that the Gods of Tarot wanted you to see both of these cards!

You asked if the move will be good for your family. The star says yes, unconditionally. She grants wishes and smooths the path for all who come into contact with her. The King? Slightly more tricky. Court cards can represent either people or situations which can make them more difficult to interpret. Kings normally represent older men -Fathers, husbands, people in positions of authority, mentors and businessmen.

He could be helping, or he could be hindering. He's dynamic -or is he headstrong and a bit domineering? You should know if this person has your best interests at heart -if you are unsure, a wise decision may be to just keep your own counsel a little -play your cards close to your chest and be watchful. They will soon show you what to think about their behaviour.

If the King represents a situation it could be that you are moving for work, or school, or even to start a new business. Has it been a sudden decision to move? Sometimes wands indicate fast movement and rash behaviours. But the lovely calming Star tells us that whatever happens, all will be well. Hold your nerve!

@ColourBlueColourPurple You have asked about your career, and the card I pulled for you is The Devil.

He himself is nothing to worry about even though he looks terrifying. He can represent a situation that mentally you may have let get the better of you. Something that has become bigger and bigger in the back of your mind until you don't want to confront it because it seems too overwhelming and scary. The Devil is the worry that keeps us up at 3am, when every concern we have is amplified until it reaches apocalyptic levels. He is the Sunday evening dread of Monday mornings, the pit of doom in your stomach that makes you dread the coming day.

He can be the dead end job that we are staying in because it pays the bills. The couple on the card in front of the Devil are tied to him by chains -they feel quite literally enslaved. But the beauty of the card is that they can easily take the chains that bind them from around their necks. In this sense, the Devil is symbolic of the psychological torment we can all put ourselves through ('better the Devil you know' we say, and stay in the job we hate for another 5 years...) when actually, the answer may be astonishingly simple. There's no need to suffer if you are unhappy.

Less obviously, The Devil can also be someone (or more than one person) who can cause you problems at work. He is the card of bullies, of trolls and gossips, liars and sneaks. If this is the case, the advice above still holds.

@Baileysandcream I was wondering when this card would show up, as I find it to be one of the most elusive cards in my deck. You have the 2 of cups.

You have asked whether you should carry on with your goals or move forward in a different way. This card denotes a partnership. It can be an emotional one -traditionally a romantic partnership as we are dealing with the suit of cups- but any partnership falls under this card. Business is the most common other type of alliance symbolised here, although it can be anyone who you are required to work one-on-one with to achieve an aim.

The twos ask us to build on the start that was initiated with the aces -so they always require decision of some sort. I wonder if the plans that you made originally factored in another person? Might that be a compromise that you have to make in order to reach your goals? The couple on the card are so beautifully matched, symmetrical, balanced, harmonious... it feels a little stale, almost. Like there needs to be an explosion of some sort, some little push to get everything moving again towards the collaboration that the number 3s represent.

Balance and harmony -is that where you are now, or where you would like to be? What does the path look like to get there? Who will you take along with you?

Thank you so very much for taking the time to do this, it is much appreciated and really interesting ! Balance and harmony is definitely where I would like to be, but not there yet. It's a romantic partnership that had stalled and strangely there has been an explosion of sorts that has reconnected us. I've been wondering whether it's something I should pursue !

Thank you so much for that. I didn't think you'd get round to me. It's very kind of you to do so many readings ❤️
Some of that applies - I live alone and have been having problems with a neighbour. I was considering moving but can't find anywhere suitable so have given up on that idea for now.
