I think we have a child ghost

I have 3DC under 7. For a while now we have been seeing a small figure dashing down the corridor in our house and passing by doorways. Often when my three DC come into my bedroom in the morning it is behind them or amongst them. They also see it. Seems to be fondest and following around my middle child (he's 6.) Quite often in the morning (she) will come into the bedroom with him and I'll think it's my actual 7 year old, then she shadow will run into a wall.

Is this something I need to be worried about? Do child ghosts like being with other children?

Yes they do like to be with children. I think a lot of imaginary friends are similar. I have heard of a child ghost who was with a friends child. It resolved itself and wasn’t a problem.

of course you will get 100’s of posters who say they don’t exist etc.

Around dc's birthday and any births. Been around for over 25 years. A small boy about 3 yo. Not just me that's seen him.

I know sometimes it is known for bad spirits to pretend to be children but in this case it definitely seems it’s a child.

I wouldn't worry about it and I wouldn't want to draw attention to it in any way that might upset the children, not that you would obviously.
You're brave posting here. MN love to tell people there's a million pound prize for proof of the supernatural or that visions are a symptom of some illness or other.
Was there a key time in your lives that you first became aware of the ghost ?
Any interesting history regarding your home ?

Oh I love this. Not that you should do this. But I once Heard of a child ghost who haunted what became a charity shop. one day child ghost had sorted a pile of items from the donated bags that would describe who they were. X

My dh saw a child ghost in our old house on two separate occasions. It was a little blonde boy. DH would have been the first person to dismiss anything like this but he can't deny what he saw. I'm gutted I never saw it!

We had a child ghost growing up. Disappeared when my youngest sibling was around 8 I think. I’d have been 14/15.

One of my best friends when I was younger was pregnant and had a baby and moved to the top floor local authority flat of a house in SW London.

One day she was out with me in winter, we’d just been Christmas shopping and to a cafe and said she didn’t want to go back to the flat now it was darker as she’d heard laughter and seen shadows of someone running (she thought it was a small child) at the other end of the flat. She didn’t see it every day and I didn’t witness it. My friend believed and didn’t believe in the paranormal but said this freaked her out and even though she felt it was friendly. She only lived there for about a year when she was rehoused to a flat near to her DM’s house.

I used to live in a house built in 1792. We had a little girl ghost. She took a shine to my then-toddler DS and used to hide his shoes so we couldn’t go out. He’d chat to her. She was called Charlotte.

This is bonkers. If it's appearing as commonly as you say then it shouldn't be hard to get a video of it. Perhaps this extraordinary claim ought to be supported by some evidence.

Does anything else happen in your house, OP? Or do you just see this figure occasionally? I wouldn't worry too much unless DC's were freaked out or if things became sinister.
