I saw a ghost today.

Not the first time.
Doubt it will be the last.

Was stood in the kitchen (small galley kitchen) with DD. I had the dishwasher door fully open which takes up almost a 3rd of the floor in area so I asked her to go out. She sort of huffed and stormed out teen style, I had turned to the side to put something away and as she left the room I saw, what I thought was DS run in past her and behind me.
It all happened in a second. So I turned round and he wasn't there, I stwp around the dishwasher door and see DD closed the door behind her.

I realise DS couldn't have ran in behind me anyway because the dishwasher was open. So the person effectively ran through the metal door complete with extended rack and plates.

Then I realised further that the boy was smaller than DS is.

I've seen him before.
Obviously not everyone will believe me. Some will say its trick of the light or a hallucination. Or that I'm plain making it up.

But like I said. It happens often.

What's a time slip @Gammeldragz ?

Gammeldragz · 09/01/2020 07:39

I'm not sure! Maybe like time is overplayed somehow and bits bleed through? Or it's momentarily jumbled? I've read about them, never experienced one though my Mum said she did - saw her dad in the bathroom brushing his teeth when she went downstairs he was there too! Not a ghost, so...

HoneysuckleSpeck · 09/01/2020 08:22

I didn’t say ghosts don’t exist. I said there’s no evidence they exist. It’s not patronising. It’s just fact.

PeninsulaPanic · 10/01/2020 10:03

But when you make that (very tired) point, you imply that the evidence of people's senses is invalid and not to be believed. Well, shrink your own world of possibility but don't expect others to shrink theirs 👻

WhichWayToBoston · 10/01/2020 13:31

You'd be insane to think we've learned everything we can about the world around us. Especially the afterlife.

You may call it tired but it’s true.

And people’s senses CAN be unreliable! Have you never been in the shower and thought you heard the phone ring or a voice because we tend to pick out things that sound like known things in white noise? It’s the aural version of pareidolia.

People like to believe in things there’s no evidence for and that’s fine but wanting something to be true doesn’t make it true.

There is NO proper evidence to suggest ghosts exist. That people have weird experiences is fact - the explanation in most cases remains unknown.

Sorry that some people are uncomfortable with that 🤷‍♀️

Who on earth said we know everything about the world around us? Of course we don’t 😂

However whenever discoveries are made and we learn new things and the explanations for things, guess what? IT’S NEVER GHOSTS.

It might be one day. Who knows? But so far there is no reason to think it will be. I can’t understand why people aren’t grasping this 🤨

Was the ghost in the form of a human?

I've seen a small deer in my garden, twice and I live in London. Nowhere near Richmond or Epping so it can't be a real deer.

I haven't seen it since November. It was around the time of my brother's death so I think there may be a link, just not sure what it means. I'm guessing something to do with my ancestors.

GingerBeverage · 12/01/2020 12:13

There are wild deer in London. I saw one in my garden.

HoneysuckleSpeck · 12/01/2020 21:10

I think if you see a deer and figure it’s more likely to be a ghost than a real deer, you’re beyond help 😁

imgonflirtwiththedevil · 12/01/2020 22:16

See thing is, I live near Central London- tourist bit. So really, highly unlikely it's a real deer.

HoneysuckleSpeck · 13/01/2020 00:38

More likely it’s a ghost? 🤨🙄

I believe you op. I saw an old lady walk from our bathroom to DD's room. I had always been 'aware' of something but bloody hell I had a shock when I actually saw her. It was really strange feeling because she was kinda cute in a way in her dressing gown. But it did make me feel kinda sick for a few minutes.

Tzigane · 18/03/2020 15:01

S'ok it's just a ghost.

walksonthebeach · 27/04/2020 14:00

I've just come across this thread & the Timeslips thing is really interesting. I was on holidays years ago with my friend. She went home early & I stayed out for a couple of more hours. When I got back & went into the bedroom she woke up & jumped up with fright. I didn't know what was wrong, she looked over at my bed & she was so confused. She said I'd come home earlier & she saw me getting into bed. 🤷🏻‍♀️
