Here's how it works: just think of your fantasy horse (that you would buy if money, time, stabling, riding ability, etc were no object) then browse the on-line horses for sale sites. Find your dream horse. Keep the window open on your computer all day, and drool over it when no-one else is looking.

Please tell me I am not alone in this addiction. And if you like, share your latest fantasy pony with us.

Oh god, what have I done? It's just that my DH always calls it that when he sees me secretly browsing Horsequest. And it's kinda the same as property porn, which is a more widely known addiction suffered by those who dream of a new house.

I've met Harry Findlay a couple of times but never had the courage to suggest that Denman may like me to take him hunting when he finishes racing!

As for Shutterfly, true pony-porn is watching videos of him winning the World Cup in Las Vegas on Youtube. The best thing is that he isn't just supreme in his sport but also good looking - not always true for showjumpers.

In the meantime I'll have to satisfy myself with the eternal quest for the perfect FR/Cradle Stakes pony...

I ring my best friend in an evening and we both browse horsequest ponyporn together, redirecting each other when we find a particulalry fine specimen. I thought it was just us...I am relieved it is a common affliction!

Fourkids, you sound like me and my sister, we email each other links of ones we like. The other day I sent one and clearly said '4th from bottom of page', which she didn't see and emailed back "not the chestnut mare? terrible confirmation". No it was a bay section D gelding. I think we went on most of the evening sorting that one out!
