I've got no idea what all this is about but just wanted to point out that the deletions say deleted by Mumsnet for breaking talk guidelines.

So it is not the posters deleting their comments.

The website owners removed them.

If someone is suspended it doesn’t mean they are guilty of anything. It means a process has started as part of an investigation. There is no inference that anyone is guilty. So you jumping on the bandwagon accusing someone of being guilty is factually incorrect and could be deemed defamatory & libellous. I’m surprised Mumsnet are even allowing this thread to continue.

The moment mumsnet start deleting and editing this post they are legally responsible for the thread. Unfortunately the defamatory comments were left up long enough to be seen by many and do reputation damage.

You are all in it for the witch hunt. Some people have now deleted their vile accusatory comments well that’s too late. The comments have been screenshot and sent to the appropriate authorities.

No I’m not Lee Pearson but I know the truth and I also know there are certain individuals working together on various social media forums to try & cause as much reputational damage as possible. What this man has been through is absolute hell at the hands of the most nasty twisted individuals you could ever meet. The fact many of you have fallen for it and joined in is a disgrace. This is utter harrassment. Anyone on here that has made a negative comment or incited further negative discussion without knowing the truth should be ashamed of themselves.

Unless you are actually Lee Pearson or are with him 24/7, you won't know if the allegations against him are true or not either - no matter how well you think you know him. 🤷🏼‍♀️

People have given their own personal experiences of Lee Pearson. You can't stop that.

I am the OP. I simply read about him not being selected. I wondered why and there was an article in the NY post. Nothing here. We have this competition ongoing in Paris and no one was wondering why a 14 gold medal holder was not there. It was very bizarre. Now it’s been discussed in the British broadsheet press and some utterly threatening and nasty posts have appeared on my genuine thread!

As far as I’m concerned it’s legitimate to ask questions. It wasn’t clear if non selection was horse or person related. I cannot believe how a simple query has sparked such a furore. I will say that investigations don’t take place without some evidence. People who complain have to be taken seriously. What will matter is what is deemed to be acceptable behaviour and what is not. So watch for news. Seems it’s taking months so there needs to be some resolution. For everyone involved, whoever they might be.

There are two dudes to every story. What ultimately matters is the standards that are set for behaviour @outdamnedspots

Well exactly. And threats issued on this thread are beyond bizarre. I’m far more intrigued than I was before I started the thread! Such anger and hostility towards views expressed. Not sure the MN guidelines were truly breached either when you look at speculation elsewhere on this site. Maybe MN was threatened?! Who knows? The world of dressage is one to keep away from!
