Been asked to leave yard because I’m a SW

I’m a discreet sex worker and have been for 4 years. I do very well and pay all my tax etc.
My family are aware of what I do, my eldest (17) is semi aware but because iv done it so long its just a “normal” job, in the fact I go to work and come home every day.
we have a pony who we have owned for 2 years, last year we moved the pony 5 mins away from home. It’s been fabulous, my daughter loves it and had made lots of friends there, but we usually keep ourselves to ourselves.
The YO texted me last week and said that circumstances are changing and she’s had to ask a few people to leave, as I was one of the last to join she said we had to leave. Obviously daughter was/is very upset. Turns out she hasn’t asked any of the other 5 people who joined after us. It’s only us. It came out yesterday that somehow someone on the yard found out what I do and told her, and she obviously doesn’t agree with what I do so has asked me to leave.
The worst part is, they are treating me now like scum. Literally won’t speak to me or look at me, has ignored all my messages, and is making me so anxious that I’m refusing to go down and my husband and daughter are doing it. We’re looking to move asap but everywhere that’s close is full. I’m so stressed. Obviously I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep it secret forever but I wasn’t expecting for my child to be punished because of something I choose to do behind closed doors.

Iv never ever recruited anyone in my life.

I’m surprised this hasn’t come up before but as it’s a private yard, I really don’t see what you can do about being asked to leave.

There are quite a lot of judgemental people on here. Working in the sex industry doesn’t mean people aren’t trustworthy.

siameselife · 04/04/2024 14:24

Except that Mumsnet is full of the grumpy, seen it all before mothers of the teenage girls, not the teenage girls themselves.
So probably not such fertile recruiting grounds. Little winky face.

Shiningout · 04/04/2024 14:24

YipYapPaddywack · 04/04/2024 14:06

Iv never had sex with another man.

I'm guessing you’ve never watched porn before? Or your husband?

porn has been around a long long time, what I do isn’t anything graphic or extreme. Maybe google sploshing and WAM, actually don’t.

I do absolutely nothing that would be deemed “sexual”. It’s a niche. I play with food, get messy and film it. There clearly is a huge market for it.

Eh??? The fact you're doing the videos for men to wank off over IS doing something sexual? By playing with food I'm assuming you don't mean playing tennis with an apple or something, it clearly is sexual in nature 🙄😂

NoisySnail · 04/04/2024 14:25

I did not say you had recruited anyone to Only Fans.
I talked about the only 4 ways women on Only Fans make a lot of money.

YipYapPaddywack · 04/04/2024 14:26

Never got my private parts out.

OP posts:
AnOpinionInTheHand · 04/04/2024 14:27

So why’d you call yourself a sex worker?

peloton2024 · 04/04/2024 14:27

@Shiningout not necessarily
I mean some men get off on photos of feet, women in custard, someone eating an ice cream... it doesn't mean it's a sexual act as such
If I take a photo of my feet it's not sexual even if men choose to get off over it

That is true. But we all remember how naive so many of us were as teenage girls. Which is why we protect teenage girls wherever we can from people seeking to influence them in harmful ways.

NoisySnail · 04/04/2024 14:29

@peloton2024 take photos of your feet and put it on Only Fans. You will not make money just from that.
The things is some people post on MN thinking it is full of women who are niave and know nothing. And that is not the case.
OP calls herself a sex worker because she is filming porn. She knows she is. Even if food is used as a prop, it is still porn.

siameselife · 04/04/2024 14:32

Absolutely!

NoisySnail · 04/04/2024 14:34

TimeandMotion · 04/04/2024 14:22

or have recruited lots of other women to Only Fans and make a percentage from their earnings.

ah no, I get it now! Stealth targeted recruitment of women with strong thighs and a wardrobe full of chaps and boots who need extra cash to fund their expensive hobby! Clever.

Edited

I have no idea if the OP is doing that, I do not know her.
But it is certainly something to be wary off. And the worry that a cam worker doing it as a lifestyle choice may try and recruit teenage girls, would be enough for me to want her removed as a yard client.
I do not think that is discrimination. It is basic safeguarding.

YipYapPaddywack · 04/04/2024 14:37

Oh don’t be so ridiculous, I couldn’t think of anything worse than employing someone to work with. One of the reasons I do this job is because I can be on my own 99% of the time.

OP posts:
Stillnormal · 04/04/2024 14:38

Sorry this has happened OP - as PP have said I don’t think I’d want to be there with loads of judgmental people either. Absolutely wow to the level of shit you’re getting on here though - maybe there’s something about horsey people?! Their problem not yours - hold your head up and move on - hope you find a happy yard.

NoisySnail · 04/04/2024 14:40

If you are on Only Fans you know you do not have to work with those you recruit. You know how it works as it is explained clearly in the sign up.
Those you recruit post their own content and you get a percentage of anything they earn.
It is why it can be lucrative. Because all someone has to do is get them to sign up using a referral code. So even if your signs ups do not make much, if you get enough signing up it soon starts to be a nice earner.

Beefcurtains79 · 04/04/2024 14:43

OP: I’m a sex worker.
Also OP: How dare you call me a sex worker!

Basic safeguarding to remove someone who has been at the yard for a year and has never mentioned her work to anyone, let alone tried to recruit a teenager?

What if someone was removed because they were a Christian and the concern was they might possibly try to get people to join their church, despite never mentioning their religion? Or someone who did Avon was asked to leave just in case they try and get someone to sell Avon too even though it never came up at all.

Ffs the hyperbole on here is ridiculous.

OP: I would like some advice on how to deal with this issue which I think came from my work (which is legal but not the norm) but I am worried about my DD and do I have any recourse
MN: ugh gross sex work how could you do this work

Yes the hyperbole from some is off the scale!!
(Ahem....liking sex work to going to church/being an Avon seller....)

Like linking trying to recruit people to anything despite never having tried to recruit someone ever....

Don't let what I actually said get in the way of what you read though.

NoisySnail · 04/04/2024 15:02

I was explaining why I would not want OP on the yard. I have also explained that I think anyone doing cam work as a lifestyle choice rather than economic necessity, has poor morals. And I would give OPs family a wide berth.

People can think that is wrong. But we have all encouraged our families away from families we think are questionable.

I think if you make unusual lifestyle choices, you have to accept that some people will not approve and find you questionable.

Bbq1 · 04/04/2024 15:37

LolaJ87 · 04/04/2024 14:05

You're acting like a hysterical old bully @Bbq1.

Ha ha, two things I'm definitely not. I was concerned for Op's kids and trying to explain to Op why the yard owners don't want her there but she isn't bothered so i won't bother anymore. Everyone disagreeing with Op must be bullying her 2 just by being straight with her.

Zola1 · 04/04/2024 15:40

Honestly OP I can't believe you expected anything else on mumsnet. They love to pearl clutch and make judgements from their fake 60000k a year jobs.
It's not fair that the yard are treating you this way, sex work is real work as long as you're making a truly free choice. I have someone really close to me who is a sex worker and has an amazing life because of it and I adore her, I do a professional job, it makes 💯 no difference to our relationship or how i feel about her. In fact I admire her to be honest and I am really proud of her. Unfortunately people are judgey, try to look at it that you wouldn't want to be friends with those type of people anyway.

NoisySnail · 04/04/2024 15:42

@Zola1 what do you admire about your friend who is a sex worker?
