having had the evidence I have checked by admin on a closed Facebook group. my story has been posted. Im not sure if I'm allowed to post the name of the group that would have to be joined to read it. pm me if you want to know or someone let me know if its allowed
i don't think I ever posted the whole detail on threads here.

There was also Razzdazz posting at the time who had a very bad experience.

She set up her own FB page, naming the said dealer, who came on & was absolutely vile & offensive...I read her comments before she deleted them...was extremely enlightening!

Oh help! As I said I used dh's facebook just so I could be nosey on that group. Then I stupidly did a comment, not realising that he would get millions of emails for ever after.
Someone please tell me how to stop them! I can see a thing about 'notification' and I can tick to say only email about account, security and privacy. But before I do it I want to know if it just applies to that site or will I be cancelling all his facebook emails?

I did see somewhere that I could unsubscribe which I suppose I'll have to do but I haven't done being nosey yet .

pixel, I have no idea as I don't get emails so I must have them all turned off. if he doesn't want that then maybe you'll have to be inventive as to how you can pay him back in kind for all the emails he needs to delete .....

did you see Hazel's story (the horse), not just one buck!

Oh I had my hopes pinned on you, you sounded like you knew what you were talking about before. He's at work atm, but he's forwarded about 30 emails on to me today so I can tell he's not too chuffed. Bloody facebook, I knew my instinct to avoid was right .

Will go an have a look at Hazel's story while I still can...

Yes - read hazels story with interest, as I remembered the episode, and thought it seemed, like "we" weren't being given the full picture....and then hazel seemed to disappear ..... Or did she get sold again, I may have missed that.....
No , I think she was returned to Ireland or whoever, and I remember thinking that the assertion that is was just one buck because he was beginner , must have been....how do I put this....not quite the full story.

Pixel, in settings then notifications you can un tick notifications for different categories. So you could ask not to get notifications from groups. That may help?

I've just remembered there was a woman at the horse field next to my mum's house who bought a horse from you-know-where and it was a lunatic even in the school (well, fenced-off corner of field anyway). The person who owns the field is very knowledgable, has had horses all her life, does show judging etc and has just taken on a pony that was unsaleable due to severe bucking and is now hacking him out, so she's not faint-hearted. Even she said dangerous and to get rid. Last thing I heard they were trying to return horse as unsuitable for novice and not getting anywhere. Must ask my mum if she can try and find out what happened! In fact we've got to go round there and buy some hay from them this week so I'll see if I can do some digging .

Well I'll try and find out. I don't even know her name. My mum chats to the field owner when she's walking her dog and it came up in conversation. My mum only told me because we'd been discussing sending dhorse to same place for schooling at the time!

my friend also has a direct poor experience with that dealer - her friend sold a problem horse to her and it was picked up friday tea time. friend saw it for sale on the site as bombproof 3 days later.

when it was sold it was still a problem horse, the buyer contacted the seller to ask questions because guess who would not entertain taking it back or giving a refund.

i think this is quite a common story with this person.

btw---problem horse was bought for 500.
sold 3 days later for 2500.

Oh no it's just every time someone comments an email comes through so it was a lot of individual emails, only I used dh's facebook because I'm not on it and I wanted to be nosey, so he was getting them all. Got it sorted now I think .

Something odd going on over at the closed group. Anyone know what it means? Is it going to be closed down or something? Looks like they are starting up another group instead.

in fighting between the admins.

apparently original group was hijacked and the admins deleted to be taken over by new admins, one of whom did something spectacularly daft in making the group a secret group instead of closed by accident - something that cannot be reversed and means that no new members can be added or something.....dunno.
all a bit of a shambles by the look of it.

the new group is being run by the original admins.

that was a mistake that is hard to reverse with the number of members, it's a Facebook rule. I think someone just touched the button by mistake and then it was too late! I'm hoping someone works out how to reverse it.
lets just say admin from a certain Facebook group with videos is very active on the new group!
