oh please let it be ok :(

Bohica · 13/07/2011 00:01

I don't know anything about horses but in humans you have 3 minutes to get breath/oxgen + heart massage & then brain damage/death occurs.

I hope I'm wrong, poor Queenie looks so lost & exhausted Sad

AmyStake · 13/07/2011 00:01

"Waiting to get word from Emma on how things are, as soon as she can update us, we will let you know what's happening...." from Twitter

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 13/07/2011 00:01

they're going to update on twitter as soon as they know anything Sad

Disasterpiece · 13/07/2011 00:02

bohica I was just thinking the same also, it was born quite quickly, this can happen with human babies born too fast cant it?

HadAThreesomeWithFredAndGeorge · 13/07/2011 00:02

they seem to have given it back to her, but that could mean good or bad really

thisisyesterday · 13/07/2011 00:02

was that fast for a horse labour? it seemed really fast frgom her first lying down to the foal coming out? very intense

Disasterpiece · 13/07/2011 00:02

Have the two people left Queenie to it?

thisisyesterday · 13/07/2011 00:03

they seem to have... i wonder if that means the foal is ok?

Disasterpiece · 13/07/2011 00:04

It could mean either or really.

AmyStake · 13/07/2011 00:05

I hope it's alright :(

thisisyesterday · 13/07/2011 00:06

normally would the foal be up by now?

thisisyesterday · 13/07/2011 00:06

i say that, it could be standing up right below the camera i suppose and we can't see it

Disasterpiece · 13/07/2011 00:07

I think we would have seen it move by now at least, I think it can be a while before they try to get up.

Bohica · 13/07/2011 00:07

It looks like they have left the foal with Queenie as it has been to long Sad

It's try about speedy labour with humans so I wonder if it is the same for horses, also, she was long over due as far as we know with no intervention.

Very sad for Queenie & not nice to watch Sad

thisisyesterday · 13/07/2011 00:08

you know, i am really scared of horses and don't actually like being near them Shock ... but this is making me feel all nice towrads them, I love Queenie! (at a distance)

Disasterpiece · 13/07/2011 00:09

Queenie is not happy with the other horse keep poking his nose over.

This is heartbreaking to watch.

Pixel · 13/07/2011 00:09

I imagine horses have to labour quickly once down in case of predators in the wild?
It doesn't look good does it. Sad

Horses are beautiful. I have been teaching my 19mo how to safely give them apples today, he laughed when their lips tickled his hands.

Disasterpiece · 13/07/2011 00:11

She is still licking it bless her.

It really doesnt look good now does it. Its been too long without any sign of movement.

Disasterpiece · 13/07/2011 00:12

No i dont think she would be frantic, its her foal and she wont know any different.

thisisyesterday · 13/07/2011 00:13

i didn't think she was overdue? they had 2 possible dates, one of which was the 15th July?

HadAThreesomeWithFredAndGeorge · 13/07/2011 00:14

Horses are lovely. I had a shire when I was a teenager, they have a lovely temperament. She was a real gentle giant.

Poor queenie, it doesn't look good.
