Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation. Child told colleague today that a sibling tested positive last night and parent is also positive. Child in school and HT said that's fine, as child's already had Covid.

First case since coming back today - 25 sent home. That didn’t take long.

Wow I feel shit. Knackered, nauseated and headachy. Got sent home after a kid snitched on hearing me retch in the toilet. Slept all afternoon. Still not hungry (which is very unlike me) and tired. Just waiting for the pregnancy rumours to start, which is ironic as I'm currently in the middle of the period from hell!

Sounds like you all need the emergency supply.

callme how long ago did the child have covid? If they've only just finished their own isolation from testing positive then they are allowed out even if other family members test positive later. If longer ago than that, them no that doesn't sound right.

Evening All. Super tired and lazy lately, just no impetus to do anything.

But I needed someone to roll my eyes at. I was listening to the radio yesterday and some TV producer was on. The presenter asked him how they had been filming with restrictions and his vague response was "Well, you know, we have policies. We've been doing it like schools do."

I'm assuming he didn't mean having them all filming together in a small room with hardly any windows for six hours, then going home to their respective households and repeating it all again the next day. With very few of them vaccinated and some dodgy LFD tests for protection.

Well my primary has just closed until after Easter now.
Although according to other threads on MN no one is catching it in schools at all.

Goodness, Stanford. How many cases did you have?

10 adults and 27 children.

That’s in a school with about 450 children on role.

I have been jabbed. I have a sticker and an appointment for the second jab in June. Got a sore arm but that's it. Such a shame that I had to take the whole day off

Rubbish about your school @StanfordPines that’s an awful lot of people and a shame it is not considered newsworthy. Far to inconvenient for some to hear.

I got Covid, I’m still isolating, but I’m ok now.

Someone went round to the house of one of the families who were meant to be isolating with work and there was no one home. Later they went to one of the other families that were meant to be isolating to find the first family were all there. Not to mention all the children who have had sleep overs etc.

Oh, and one of the staff who has tested positive has had her jab.

She had her jab on the 8th.

I hope the jab helps to keep the symptoms mild for that person. Cannot believe how selfish people can be hearing about those families
