@Littlejackhorner1
Happy New Year to all TESSERs who’ve managed to find their way onto this thread. I’m missing all the discussions we would have been having about our quietest celebrations ever, Brexit and issues about school reopening.
Poor Frodo has no one to tell how excited he is now we’ve finally left the EU.
Jude, I’m glad I have a good understanding of the nature of your posts because if recently was the first time I’d read your posts I’d be feeling very pessimistic about the future!
Sunshineneeded I’m sorry to hear about your Dad and what’s going on at the home. What a worrying time for you.
Cassandra I hope that you manage to get the treatment you need. My thoughts are with you.
Here’s hoping TES gets back up and running soon. There are so many people I miss.
My thoughts go out to those whose schools are opening on Monday. Hopefully the government will see sense very soon and close all schools and switch to online learning.
Take care everyone.
Conversant with my previous posts or not, you should be realistic in line with what I have been saying since March 2020. And, how they laughed and said I was a doom-monger and how surely it couldn't get that bad yet, here we are as I predicted.
It's about knowing the species. I've had sixty years of observing the chaos this species has wrought upon this planet. You know the "best intentions" quote and the "road to hell"? Well, this species can't do right for doing wrong. Even when it thinks it has got it right, it hasn't.
We will amuse ourselves to death. It may hopefully be that we are destroyed by something like a virus or an actual virus before we hollow out the planet and leave it as a lump of ash.
As John says
"things are gonna get worse nurse, things are gonna get worse,
get that hearse to reverse nurse cos things are gonna get worse,
this ain't the final verse nurse cos things are gonna get worse"
