Is anyone’s school affected by the Coronavirus?

Ours isn’t, so all is good there.

I have a totally crazy and irrational jealousy of teachers that are being sent home for 14 days to self isolate after half term ski trips though.

Ridiculous, I know as it’s a killer. I think that shows how unhappy I am at work and how much I need to get out of teaching.

I say they should either stay there or self isolate from moment of arrival I suppose

My dad and brother are currently at Cheltenham. Me and my mum think they are mad going. We all work for the same family firm.

Definitely time to call a halt to large public events, surely?

Comefromaway · 12/03/2020 14:33

MOVE IT just got cancelled.

ListeningQuietly · 12/03/2020 14:39

The Big Bang Fair at the NEC was cancelled last week.
any event which will have people from multiple locations coming and mixing should be cancelled at this stage.

I still think that the schools should stay open but that's a personal opinion

@listeningquietly most things at NEC have been cancelled for about a week now. It is closing I think. My friend has had all her work cancelled

Interesting
the excuse given was the kids coming from all over the country, not the venue

Hopefully useful resource for teachers .....
