Just started a new job in a v challenging secondary school in Special Measures. I am a middle leader. First day today and behaviour was utterly awful. I have been a teacher for 20 years and have never known anything like it. My previous observations have always been graded outstanding or good with outstanding, if I'd been seen today I would have failed dismally.
I have always been considered a strong teacher and a good leader but I know I've got to get a grip on behaviour as soon as I can.
Any top amazingly brilliant tips which work with the toughest kids????
