Hello all, I'm a Secondary English NQT.

Secondary MFL and also on maternity leave here - thought baby would be here by now and am slowly going mad waiting

I am a Y2 teacher.
I am in my third year of teaching ,didn't qualify until I was 38...oh how I'd love to be 38 again !

25 years and counting - Primary, but now in my 9th year in a PRU, but full-time since September after 11 years part-time.

I had a really good day today and am having a Chinese in a bit, so am looking forward to the weekend...and next week now.

Can i please join this group?...i run a pre-school...we don't have a staffroom tho :(

Primary NQT just signed up for Supply and will hopefully start next week (am terrified)

Hi Tilly yesterday was crappy due to a combination of stroppy teenage behaviour, weed smoking (By students - not me) and not having time to get every thing done. Having had a good night's sleep I feel a lot better.

One of the hardest parts of my job is not bringing the worries about students home. Some of them are very vulnerable and don't seem to have an adult watching out for them.

Are Early Years allowed in here?

Secondary MFL in Scotland here. 7th year of teaching. Work 3 days since having DS 3 years ago and am currently 16 weeks pregnant/exhausted. 3 weeks until the tattie holidays. Can't come quickly enough...

FFS Wilshaw is at it again! I work full time plus for a part time salary. I do it because I don't want to let kids down (and because I am an NQT and incredibly slow at things sometimes )

I thought I must have been really unobservant not to have spotted this topic before until I read the first post on this thread and realised it's new.

Yes. AND you have to remember there's a coeliac so don't forget a 'free from' cake as well otherwise you will get the 'look'.

It's a nut allergy in ours, and don't we all know it.

18 years at chalkface, have been a TA and then -stupidly- did a PGCE. Taught ks1 for past 9 years. I escaped for a while to have a baby but have been doing supply ever since.

Like all good supply teachers I bring my own flask, containing tea mind, and always wash up if I need to borrow a cup. Well behaved, I am.
