Hello all, I'm a Secondary English NQT.

It does get better after the NQT year but you'll always be jumping through hoops. Hmm, not sure my blood pressure could cope with Gove on here.

I woud love a biscuit (or 2) but could you hold the smirnoff for a couple of months?

Another one for primary here, preparing to go back mid October after a years mat leave.

Oh and I'll also drink out of any mug!

Secondary art teacher here- taught in PRUs/ESBD schools until two years ago when I became an advisory teacher for Looked After Children.

Cups are a very serious business at our school (shudders while remembering cup cupboard bloodbath sort out last year- now refered to as "cup-gate"! )

It's a wonder nobody has caught bubonic plague from some of those mugs in staffrooms. The china variety I mean.

I'm hiding somewhere more boring than the stationary cupboard ... A cover lesson with 7 non-English speaking students. They are exceptionally well behaved and I am getting on with schoolwork on my laptop

I'm off for the September weekend :)

we had a training day today ! Hooray! Free lunch and made a clown. And now its the weekend so....

Luckily, my teaching experience meant that I could turn the air blue with a creative flair.

Not too bad a week overall, probably because I've not had time to watch all the Govester's plans on the news.

Talking of cupgate, in one of my previous schools it was spoongate. So many of the teaspoons went missing in the staffroom that the DT teacher drilled a hole through the bowl of every teaspoon. Trying to get the coffee into your mug and not all over the work surface was a bloody nightmare!

Teachers can be bloody odd sometimes :)
