Surely Wace gave them a deadline ?

One of my fellow volunteers today has a theory ( she has lots and sometimes she hits the mark!)
Wace wanted them out completely but let them stay on the estate because of the DC’s school .

Hamlets are HAM's responsibility not Wace's. Probably worth telling HAM that 🙄

Ian wace
I believe that Ian Wace has a friendship with William. He knew Harry who told him that he wanted to reconcile with his brother. Wace hoped to facilitate this and offered accommodation. When it proved this was a lie, Wace wanted them out. Adding to this Meghan had taken advantage of his kindness and allegedly bullied his staff. I think we’ve heard this before……

Wace employs these staff members. They could sue him if he didn't manage the situation properly

Its madly rude how often she just walks in front of Harry, interrupting his conversations with people.

I couldn’t watch it all but most of her faux pas come from either insecurity I.e. a woman is talking to Harry or lack of basic manners/etiquette.

She had so many opportunities to learn how to behave but thought she was above all of that and has shown herself to be extremely ignorant. What an embarrassment she is and he’s not much better.

Perhaps Wace is returning for a stay and would want the use of his own main house, requiring the guests to go to the guest house.

I was wondering the same thing. Perhaps he wants an English Xmas this year and wants to fill the main house with his family. Or that's what he's telling them.

Just to be mean, I'm picturing him trying to get rid of them by moving them to smaller and smaller houses on his estate until at last all they're offered is a 2 room flat above the garage. Or better yet, the stables.

Starryfifty · Today 17:55

Wace didn't become a billionaire by being soft. He'll turf them out, hamlets too if it's causing him the slightest bit of discomfort

BasiliskStare · Today 17:59

Sadly I was never given the choice 😂, but I'd have taken Apartment 1 in a heartbeat or indeed Frogmore Cottage. FG seems to me to a beautiful house , built on a human scale but very spacious , big gardens and within the Windsor cordon. They were just married , no children yet it was perfect. I shouldn't think Camilla will want to go anywhere near Frogmore House , I think she actively chooses to spend time in her own house for relaxing.

@IdaGlossop I love your way of thinking of people. I've said it before but my Granny had a phrase , "Dukes don't swear at dustmen" . Manners and thoughtfulness will usually out.

A trailer behind the stables. All trailers are self-catering. Liam can spin it as character-building for the Hamlets.

It was interesting that they used Windsor Castle to introduce Archie to the world and I seem to recall it was timed so that it could be shown on Breakfast TV in the US .
Thanks for yet another thread @jeffgoldblum

That wonderful photo of them all looking at the shawl - apparently M was trying to sell first photo of Archie to USA networks or Oprah.

A lot of the renovations they did are now being reversed, that was in the news recently.

yes - converted back to employee housing

Exactly this, all billionaires (& mere millionaires!) have a ruthless streak.
If Wace decides there's no room at the Inn for the Ham & the Hamlets there's no room at the Inn!

It was Royal Lodge for Camilla, not Frogmore

You see I find it hard to believe that she didn’t want her moment in front of the world’s cameras. She lives for the attention and clicks. One could almost believe that she had something to hide.

There's a difference between making a faux pas (realising you've goofed) and being downright rude and crass. Markle is definitely the latter.

I would say a royal house was on the cards but the latest markle dump has put a pin in that

Thank-you @BasiliskStare I think the origins of my way of thinking of people lie in the month I spent as a student working at Harrods in the sale and afterwards in the 1980s. The salesman I was attached to asked me to stay on after the sale, whilst he was on holiday. There were very few customers (furniture department) but high engagement from those there were. My now politically unsound classification, based on my observations, was: nouveau riche (demanding, greedy and indecisive), established wealth (comfortable with themselves, unfailingly courteous and reassuringly low-key), A word beginning with A that I will not repeat (I had bitten my lip when I looked up from my desk when hearing a male voice say 'Come' and the click of fingers, and realised I was being summoned by a man at the head of his all-female family, walking behind him in single file).

A lot of out goings when there's not much coming in.. And this is just a house they don't live in.

First and foremost, the monthly costs of maintaining their Montecito abode are incredibly high; annual property taxes for the year 2025 were just over $152,000—or $12,667 a month—while the monthly payments on their $9.52 million adjustable-rate mortgage are estimated between $40,000 and $43,000.
Add to that the cost of maintenance, security, and monthly bills, and experts estimate that the couple could be paying as much as $650,000 a year, or $54,167 a month, just to keep their California dwelling.

How Much Is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Montecito Mansion Really Worth?

Prince Harry and Meghan's return to the U.K. has raised serious questions about what the future holds for their California mansion.

The property tax and mortgage costs you quote there come to around £650k pa alone without any on the additional costs.

The announcement of Archie’s birth was timed to suit the American morning shows. That was her target audience. Bugger generations of royal tradition.
