I dunno. It sounds attractive but it has a degree of long term strategic planning that MM hasn't so far shown in any of her projects. If she could plan something that complex (and bloody cold) she could make a better stab at all the other stuff she has launched.

She could have been trying to keep Tommy J at bay with promises of a passive pay out with a book once Tom snr passes... but as said above Tom snr is living too long for their liking & Tommy J wants his piece of flesh early..

Samantha's next move will be interesting

Yes imagine the leaked headlines from "friends " eg Louis never invited Archie to his birthday or the Wales children snubbed Lili's party iy would be relentless

It'll be constant unfortunately. Then Hamlets bleating about exclusion when they are older. But I predict Archie Markle and his uncle Tom will have their own channel from some trailer in US!

I wonder how much the MIGS were involved in MM early press. Her career was massively exaggerated, the press was very kind in general and heaps of dodgy stuff from her past seems to have been buried, exspunged or ignored.

It's like there's been a fecking D-Notice put out on her for a decade. The Guardian needs to put one of its proper investigative journalists like Lanre Bakare on the trail.

I could understand her behaviour if she'd grown up in poverty - that fear of never having enough never goes away. But from all accounts (except her's of course) her upbringing was pretty comfortable.

Tom Snr may be a lot of unmentionable things but he paid for Meghan to have a very expensive Catholic education. Like everything private in America education is extremely expensive

I think this was MM’s plan all along with the relocation.

She’s very happy to drop PH and the kids in the UK to accumulate Britshness and Royal glitter which she can then merch post divorce in the US for the rest of her life. She’s even doing that now with her latest Tweedy Cotswolds As Ever shtick.

It would suit her for PH and the DCs to be doing faux royal stuff maybe even RF public stuff (Sandringham walk, garden parties, Christmas concerts, Ascot, Trooping etc) - in time before anyone bites my head off. She’s savvy enough to realise that this won’t happen with her on the scene so she’s happy to step back from that stuff if her absence makes it happen and ultimately lines her own pockets.

Their first relocation announcement centred on MM needing to work from their international bases - ie don’t expect to see her too much as she’s fading her broke, volatile, shabby, addict STBXH out - attempting to ensconce him safely into the arms of his community, country, family and friends because she’s done with the fool - but she still needs to rinse his residual legacy value however little it may be by being a Prince. Same with her DCs she needs them with the specific aesthetic British accent, boarding school, hunting, shooting, fishing look to flog on.

She’s always looking at the next rung / neck to stand on. I think the TMs crisis will just expedite this process and a bit like the 2019 letter somehow provide her with in her eyes the perfect excuse to publicly dump her STBXH (he didn’t support me in 2019 - he silenced me and made me bury it and go to the Royal Albert Hall - he didn’t support me when this then blew up etc etc.

Shes on her way out of that marriage - shes happy to leave PH and DCs behind if it serves her goals.

I don’t see it like that . So many people talk about M dumping H but what is she without him ? Hopefully the RF learned their lesson with Fergie and ensure that M loses her title if she walks .
And if/ when she walks what then ?
She is heading towards 50 and has a dreadful reputation so I cannot imagine any billionaire being interested .
Yes she could write a book or do some interviews but who would believe a word she writes ?
As ever is a flop and I have no idea whether if not she is still flogging clothes.
In my opinion , it will be H who tries to extricate himself in a desperate attempt to get back into the RF .
I do feel for those DC especially as they have moved house yet again .
Anyway , I am off to do some public service ( shift in charity shop) so will catch up later . No doubt we will be on the next thread !!

I've been watching quite a bit of coverage of the King & Queen in the Caribbean during the past few days

It seems to have been quite a relentless timetable of events particularly for KC who arrived several days before QC

I've been wondering what it would have been like if H&M had remained within the RF. They were given a Commonwealth role by HMQEII which I think was to do with young people. So they could have been out there attending the youth rallies which would have been far more appropriate than KC attending them and he could have either had a rest or done more appropriate events.

That's just one aspect of what they could have done with the roles QE gave them. If H&M had achieved anything during the past few years I wouldn't feel like that but all I feel is that it's so sad, such a waste.

Or worse "George adoes Lili" and "Charlotte has taken Archie under her wing". It is adjacentcy MM really needs ( although snubs are useful too.)

I would expect him to try to slither back with more victim narrative - I’ve been a controlling relationship - she manipulated me and wound me up to say and do x, y, z….

Plus, no doubt, endless yammering about his mental 'elf - even hints about suicidal ideation - which would probably fly with some

Can you imagine giving up that amazing opportunity? Most people could only dream of such privilege.

I wouldn't be surprised if this happens. Charles has plenty of property he could let them have and it wouldn't cost him (or the taxpayer) any extra. What is less clear is how choosy they could be about location. Any posters who know the area they're in: without naming the school (we did say we wouldn't do that, and it's honestly not needed) are there any royal properties at least vaguely in the right location? Like within a two hour convoy journey?

It's a risk for Charles so I'm not sure. Originally they were offered a large apartment at Buckingham Palace. But HAM demanded a Windsor property because they wanted proximity to W&C

But now KC has to consider the potential reputational risks of offering them a Royal or personal property

  • will Meghan use it to flog tacky As Ever products as she did with the Wace property? - Don't know if it accurate but I have read that Wace thought he was lending a property to a very private family with security concerns (his property is hard to search and as a billionaire with teenage kids Wace must have his own concerns) - it said was very unhappy that M used clearly identifiable features of his house for influencer style photo shoots of products and her kids.
  • risks that Harry will use a property as backdrop for ranting against the judiciary, RAVEC, pr press etc. Or that he would spout off about international affairs and contradict government property.
  • risks that Meghan will give "big payday" interviews about her dad, the kids etc
MerryAquaKoala · Today 12:13

Harry won't work for the RF again. He's too much of a loose cannon - a term often used to describe Diana when she was alive, interestingly.
His behaviour has shown he isn't a good representative of the King.
He will be a rather pathetic figure in time, but I think would calm down if MM left. I think they wind each other up, and he'd be fine just filling his time gaming if she wasn't there. (Although she will probably wind him up from afar unless she finds a new man and moves on.)

Yes.. I think William got her looks and caring nature, Harry got her loose cannon. lack of brains, and caring nature. I think he probably is good with kids. Good job really as his wife seems not to be. She never had a blueprint for being a good parent, did she. Harry did at least.

Where is the evidence H is good with kids? I see that bandied about a lot.

People say that they have money but I doubt it. They will have spent millions keeping up with that lifestyle. They didn’t get €100m from Netflix to spend on clothes. They will have had to pay all the production and staffing costs out of the €100m, the As Ever business will be chomping through the €€, their own staffing and security costs will be considerable. Any money they do have is being spent on £4000 trousers that don’t fit.

Without doubt they'll still have more money than most of us, William, but almost certainly not enough for the life they aspire to

And while Meghan may see only the $$$$ I'm not convinced it's really about the money per se for Harry ... more the fact he's no longer got people spinning him into something he never was and sweeping up the results of his behaviour

Lunde · Today 12:18

SqueakyDinosaur · Today 09:19

IIRC, KC offered them an estate in Herefordshire shortly after they married. Given that he was PoW at that point, of course the likelihood that that particular property now belongs to W as part of the Duchy of Cornwall is high, and the concomitant likelihood of it being offered again is approaching zero.

I wonder if either of them reflects on the fact that they are now scrabbling for scraps of what was previously handed to them on a plate?

Perhaps KC could offer them the B&B he owns in Romania! 😉

No internet - which would be a relief for the rest of us 😂

Judging by her facial expression at the wedding, I suspect the late Queen had more information about Markle and her family than we knew and had already foreseen the damage they would go on to wreak.

Well he always said living in Africa was his dream. I always thought he seemed genuine in his love for Africa.

I've always thought that Harry's "love of Africa" was a bit nebulous - a bit "White saviour" with him rushing in to save elephants, speeding past the locals in SUV motorcades to visit Sentebale projects (which caused bad feeling) and insisting that Africa Parks employed staff protect that wildlife rather than employing local people... that resulted in the abuse/rape allegations.

I think he liked the Spencer cousins' lifestyle when they lived in South Africa - large compounds with armed guards and trips with those really posh tour companies to go camping or on safari.

It's difficult to know whether he is, or whether he got a "blueprint" from Diana. He may have got ideas from seeing film of her interactions, perhaps?

I don't think Diana was the super mom Harry and others try to trundle out. She spoke to William about her various boyfriends and broken heart. Depended on him emotionally. Was away from them quite a lot. I would imagine the reality very much differs from H's ridiculous narrative about her

No no no- human attachment theory starts from birth. He would have known he was loved and looked after from the beginning. Many imprints are formed in the first few months. The first years of life are extremely important. And he had 11 with his mum, some fcked up of course. But he always had her.
