I question this great love for Africa. Lying under the stars, smoking weed. If he really was committed to it, he would have moved there years ago and do what? I really don't know as he's too lazy to do conservation work

Well, if we're naming whole continents generically, I love Europe.

I love chilling out on beaches, snowmobiling through arctic landscapes, busking around an old town, eating a fresh catch or trying a local wine.

All of that is just liking being on holiday and to another extent being carefree in my twenties. I don't attribute it to a lifelong commitment to living there.

Africa isn't a country any more than Europe is.

I think this was MM’s plan all along with the relocation.

She’s very happy to drop PH and the kids in the UK to accumulate Britshness and Royal glitter which she can then merch post divorce in the US for the rest of her life. She’s even doing that now with her latest Tweedy Cotswolds As Ever shtick.

It would suit her for PH and the DCs to be doing faux royal stuff maybe even RF public stuff (Sandringham walk, garden parties, Christmas concerts, Ascot, Trooping etc) - in time before anyone bites my head off. She’s savvy enough to realise that this won’t happen with her on the scene so she’s happy to step back from that stuff if her absence makes it happen and ultimately lines her own pockets.

Their first relocation announcement centred on MM needing to work from their international bases - ie don’t expect to see her too much as she’s fading her broke, volatile, shabby, addict STBXH out - attempting to ensconce him safely into the arms of his community, country, family and friends because she’s done with the fool - but she still needs to rinse his residual legacy value however little it may be by being a Prince. Same with her DCs she needs them with the specific aesthetic British accent, boarding school, hunting, shooting, fishing look to flog on.

She’s always looking at the next rung / neck to stand on. I think the TMs crisis will just expedite this process and a bit like the 2019 letter somehow provide her with in her eyes the perfect excuse to publicly dump her STBXH (he didn’t support me in 2019 - he silenced me and made me bury it and go to the Royal Albert Hall - he didn’t support me when this then blew up etc etc.

Shes on her way out of that marriage - shes happy to leave PH and DCs behind if it serves her goals.

As far as I'm concerned, H was the one who wrote Spare and caused a lot of grief for his family

So, whether M is by his side or not, I don't think he will ever be able to do the 'Royal' things you've described and therefore his DC won't either

And, I hope they've learned from the faux engagements in Nottingham that you can't buy royal glitter . . . . .

Yes, that passage as written is just so unbelievable, given that Harry grew up in Kensington Palace.

Most of us would have spotted this reaction from Meghan as an indication that our values were not aligned, and been asking ourselves questions about expectations.

ChubbyCheeksCharlie · Today 11:17

@Jarlath She’s savvy enough
I don't think she is. She's properly f*ed up with these last Markle family shenanigans. It's very likely she has lied about very serious allegations, timelines-wise.
She's told too many lies and can't turn back.
NB. This isn't an insult to MM really. I wouldn't be savvy enough to come up with some "extricate myself from my husband and come out on top" plan either, but I live a nice, simple life where being sly and cunning isn't required 😅

I should think even Harry knows that Africa isn't a country tbh.

Sometimes he speaks of his love for specific countries like Botswana but he has also referenced many times his love for Africa generally. That Africa feels like his second home. I think a lot of what he says on this subject is insubstantial twaddle, but I don't think it's he's wrong for referring to Africa generally.

I've many times times heard people express their admiration for Europe generally, especially Americans. Have you never read any classic American literature? They speak of 'Europe' far more often than individual countries. And why shouldn't they.

I think on some subconscious level he always must've known she was a gold digger. He says in Spare he was nervous showing her his home. I've never been nervous showing anyone my home. Not even the very first, an extremely shabby rented terrace.

KC is the oldest child of a Monarch whose maternal feelings led her to try and provide sanctuary for a younger child who was riddled with revolting PR & appalling choices.

The result of that maternal urge is now a problem KC has to manage.

He might have more typical paternal instincts tempered via the experience of being the brother responsible for a problem sibling. There may be some resentment that the mutual parent failed to force Kid 2 to stand on his own, big & ugly enough feet, much much sooner than when the really stinky shit hit the fan.

KC has seen how “obvious solutions to the problem offspring” do not exist. Because people are who they are, and so are their wives. There are only trade-offs with a moving target of “associated complexities”. Those trade-offs lead to a life-time of having to manage all future slipperiness, tantrums and “cunning plans to get my own way”.

So would KC want to risk saddling the PoW with a similar headache to the one his own head has throbbed with ?

I’m sure as a father it is painful to watch your child struggle so hard to launch into the life he said he wanted. Especially as he unfortunately funded the launch by slagging off his family.

It’s tempting to immagine a perfect world, where everybody could be trusted to stick to agreed terms forever. So unpleasant tendencies could be tidily curbed with the sweetener of home & stipend. However that temptation will probably be countered by his personal frustrations with the realities of being saddled with his brother’s ugly mess of a life until his very last breath, cos the world is not perfect and not everybody is trustworthy.

IMO Harry is probably out for good. And he might not believe it when the realisation comes, but it really is in his own best interests.

All of us with tricky backgrounds and false starts into adulthood eventually have to look at how we have lived so far, where that has taken us, and embrace the autonomy of doing things very diffently.

Even when that involves letting go of helplessness flavoured expectations of others, and turning ourselves into the knight who will save us.

Certainly for the HAMlets’ sake, daddy letting go of the ghost of the boy he was and working towards being the better man he can be, is the way to go.

None of that comes from a mean spirited place. I had to let go of rescue expectations and the ghost of the girl I was. I know by the scarred over blisters on my own feet it is a hard, hot, long road. But the destination is worth the painful trek. Especially when you have children who really don’t need family burdens passed down to them.

I really don't think PW will mind inheriting the HAM problem. Obviously don't know the man but he strikes me as quite ruthless when needed and HAM are a liability. He will strip them and not look back.

The buck definitely rests with Harry for Spare. Well and truly.

But MM definitely wrote a lot of the draft for it 😅 it's littered with very detailed descriptions of her outfits on countless occasions, including the fit, the material, colour, pattern and style of dress on any given occasion including times just at home or casual outings. It reads like a young woman's fashion diary in parts. Including how her hair was, honestly if you've listened to her speak then you can recognise her phrases, sentence structure style and wording throughout.
There's no way Harry remembered so many of her day to day outfits in such great detail 😂

In the meantim the idea of justice for CSA victims….

I wonder what the board of Sentebale are thinking about all of this. Why would they be minded to settle with such ghastly people, who spend every week proving Sophie Chandauka's points for her?

Harry has been a lot more scathing than she has. It's his blood family. He spoke publicly about his love for Catherine. He's beyond redemption, IMO

Aaah - I didn't know that. I confess my own copy, bought very cheaply from a supermarket, got thrown into the recycling bin as I didn't think a charity shop would appreciate it. I read very little of it as I was so outraged at the first couple of chapters

PammyPrang · Today 11:34

I do wish I’d been a fly on the wall when M first saw Harry’s place. Expecting nothing less than Medieval Times, she was faced with a sweaty old beanbag stinking of weed and a playstation…

And Harry’s idea of “Aaaafricaaaa” is just White Mischief.

Why aren’t the DM naming Wace in the house move story? It’s common knowledge that he’s coddling them.

Where has the "knowledge" come from though, HoldMyWine?

I thought - and someone please correct me if I'm wrong - that their housing was all based on speculation, "sources" and crap on sewer sites, and that nobody yet has anything definitive?

I would expect him to try to slither back with more victim narrative - I’ve been a controlling relationship - she manipulated me and wound me up to say and do x, y, z….

Starryfifty · Today 11:38

What's so hideous about harry is, I have had many, many issues with my family over the years. My parents, siblings. A very dysfunctional brood (except me, I'm perfect😅). They have hurt me and I them over the years. One thing I would never do would be to slag them off to other relatives, friends etc. It's considered a really low thing to do.

Of course he will but what happens when he meets the next viper? Which he will. He's so ridiculously shallow, he'll fall for another "hot girl " with the same intentions as Meg

If KC has the M's near him it'll be 'sources' whining that they never get invited to things, he never sees the GCs and the Wales won't do playdates. Much better to keep on ignoring them. They're in their 40s, they're old enough to fend for themselves.

Yes imagine the leaked headlines from "friends " eg Louis never invited Archie to his birthday or the Wales children snubbed Lili's party iy would be relentless

yeah - Lorraine clucking "Oh you poor wee lamb" sympathetically is exactly what Meghan wants

SiegfriedSassoon · Today 08:25

There is an almost pathological grabbiness about her. So much footage out there of her completely showing herself up by getting all frenzied over free stuff, gifts, awards, mics. She's like a bloody seagull with her claws clutching and clawing at everything. Wrenching things off of Harry like a deranged lunatic. I've never seen anybody who behaves like her.

Probably because you've never seen anyone quite this trashy elevated to such a position, Siegfried - though TBF Fergie wasn't that far behind

It's not her fault she was raised by such a family any more than she's to blame for what her father may or may not have done, but realistically her joining the RF was never going to end well, and so it's proved

And aside from the moral considerations, it's a fairly serious social faux pas to be indiscreet about family drama & distinctions. Most definitely not the done thing.

Now here's a curiosity.

Daily Telegraph last week: Noelle Rasmussen: 'Something was always off about grandpa https://archive.ph/g5tI1

Daily Mail: Noelle Rasmussen says on 2 November she is shocked by the discovery of child porn images and that 'I never felt creeped out by him' (TMs) She says that Loveless asked her to mail the letter to Meghan's security team in London but never told her of its contents https://archive.ph/IZ9na Meghan's security team and the fixated person's unit are two different parts of the Met.

I also watched Tom Skyes talking to Tom Bower. The view from that conversation is that MM and TMj are in league and it's all about money. They think Meghan planned this from the time of the 2019 letter. The 'daddy's girl' line for Netflix and the Royal family treated me badly line were deliberate, to create shock value when they released the TMs story. Meghan's December 2025 letter to TMs drew the starting gun. TMj, short of money, then went to The Sun with the child porn image story, being paid £80,000.

Does the Tom x 2 story (so many Toms) add up? I'm not sure, because if they are both in it together and doing it for money, is the money enough for them?

I think they are totally in cohoots , Meghans statement came just hours after Tommy Js... then he issues a slabbering apology to her saying he was wrong about her all along..
