But even more strange is that M wasn’t allowed in on the meeting with the King and Queen and she made a very strong statement soon after about being humiliated and never returning to the UK. Then five minutes later they’re all back here for the foreseeable future.
I still think that there’s something far more serious and dire about to be revealed. Why would they make such an abrupt move? Surely not because of something that came to light years ago (as serious as this is)?

Was she really not allowed in on the meeting with the King and Queen? How did it get into the public domain? Who announced she’d not been in the initial meeting? It seems such an off colour thing to do that I hope it’s not true.

And she declares in her 2025 letter to TM that she knows but yet no investigation seems to have taken place in the Philippines at that time?

This is a good point, yes: how does she ‘know’? This was apparently all news to the Philippines authorities last week. Another cock-up from M.

The only thing I read was that KC wanted to speak to Harry on his own at one point. However I thought all of them had taken tea together?

It is also interesting that, originally, it was claimed that the letter dates from the summer of 2018 ie before it was known that the two offices were
splitring. So could it be that this wasn’t actually a lapse in memory but was a deliberate attempt to imply that the letter could have been seen by the Cambridges, which was unfortunately scuppered by the Met having a record of the date of the letter 🤔

I hadn't thought of that, smilesy, but actually it would make perfect sense by H&M's standards

Who knows - if the criticism of Meghan for not speaking up continues, she could even claim W&C instructed her not to, and it wouldn't be easy to prove otherwise

Yes I read the same thing - in addition Camilla insisted on being present, they wanted to see Harry alone at first (or perhaps it was H wanting to get KC on his own and C wouldn’t stand for it), then after the H meeting M and kids were brought in.
Phones were left outside the meeting room at request of KC (for obvious reasons!!)

Apparently Palace Insiders are feeling sorry for Meghan. Did she feel sorry for the lies she told when Prince Philip was dying and when the LQ was still doing her duty despite being very unwell? NO.
I have no sympathy for HAM whatsoever, they deserve everything that hopefully is coming to them.

I'm sure this is bollocks.

WilIiamsExtraSausage · Today 12:44

Palace insiders may indeed feel sorry for M. You can pity someone whilst still disliking them.

I’m not sure they need to prove it.

They just need to allow the world to churn through the mucho contradiction ridden press/book yakking of HAM for several years, where several “not exactly the truthiness truth” incidents have been revealed.

And proceed with “no comment”.

If Harry still holds onto his quasi-delusional “let me back in! it’s cold & scarily complicated outside the golden cage !” plan, he might metaphorically superglue his wife’s mouth shut. In which case those inside the golden cage might catch a break from any MM driven spontaneous PR moves.

How could Meghan even face them, I'd be so embarrassed and ashamed. Her brass neck is incredible, absolutely brazen. When you think of all Charles did for her, paid for etc, and then the things she's said and done. Horrifying. She's everyone's worst nightmare of a DIL.

Recall the 2022 interview with The Cut? It ended with a mysterious quote about saying things / not saying things, no NDA, etc... it's behind a paywall now, would be curious to read that again in light of new context.

Here you go - it says on mine that it's free for a limited time, so hope yours says the same:

Meghan of Montecito

She’s left the Firm behind. Harry’s found a polo team in Santa Barbara. The kids are doing great. Now she’s ready for her own next act.

And the Sussexes were pulling away from shared offices as early as October 2019, and the two offices had separate Christmas parties that year.

I can't see MM standing for her staff sharing any information, let alone stuff this sensitive, with the office of the woman who made her cry and the man who wagged his finger in her face.

ETA - they didn't even keep BP informed of when their son was born, they were being that squirrelly about sharing info with the royal in-laws.

Oh lord, that office stuff! What a drama. Btw, it was October 2018 that the shared office(s) of the Cambridges and Sussexes (ie shared press team) really started to fall apart.

Meghan had already been recognised as a bully of staff, and October 2018 was the month Jason Knauf put it in writing to Simon Case. Case told William, William had a row with Harry about how HaM were treating the staff, Harry went nuts and told Meghan about the allegations (but HaM didn’t yet know there was a formal communication, interestingly).

The rest, as they say, is hysteria …

I wonder if the IOPC will be interested in Meg’s reputation for throwing her weight around with staff and ‘the little people’ during the relevant period of Jan 2019? HaM never accepted the allegations of bullying people, so presumably didn’t change their behaviour between October 2018 and January 2019. God knows what she was like with the Met officer(s).

Because she doesn’t actually know anything about charity, humanitarian work (what does Archewell do?). She just wants to waft about in lovely clothes looking important. Like when she met Malala. What did they even talk about?

When you think about it, Thomas Jnr went to the Sun -> the Sun told Meghan they were going to print and did she want to say anything -> Meghan and her friend’s immediate response was “this is going to look so bad for me, Masterchef Aus announcement coming out soon, As ever depends on my image: let’s say actually we knew about this all along [note, true or not, she didn’t have to do that] but we were told it would be investigated, and given all the grief Harry’s getting after GQ about reconciliation with the RF but not with my family, let’s shut all that down by saying this is why we’re not having anything to do with them and maybe people can think about what Meghan’s been through dealing with the tabloid spiel about her family the last 8 years”.

That thought process is so knee-jerk, so short-sighted, so rushed, it can only have been thought up by Meghan on the phone with a friend and/or Harry. They probably thought they were killing three birds with one stone. Two weeks later, after a couple more follow up statements via “friends”, it’s crickets and she’s left looking muddied and shady. All the work done for As Ever merch drops depicting a perfect housewife living a perfect lifestyle aren’t believable anymore - she’s made that brand her and her family and her home. But now we know that far from thinking about final touches to her perfect hostess table for a perfect dinner with sparkling wine and flower sprinkles and love and joy, she’s actually thinking about her dad’s child sexual abuse investigation and getting a drubbing in the press.

It must suck to be Meghan right now. None of this was her doing or her fault, the Markles have really done a number on her, but she has handled it poorly and made things worse for herself by doing a milder version of what they do: talking. She should have stayed quiet, said no comment to anything and at least have tried to maintain the image of being above it. As it is, by getting involved - which is who she is, she always has to use her voice and always has to speak and always has to clap back - she’s just exposed that As ever is a fake image. And she did that all by herself because she entered the fray. If she were authentically above it all, if she were as she likes to portray herself on As ever, she would have stayed above it all and not got involved. As ever is proven to be a sham and that’s not the Markles’ fault, it’s her own doing. In exposing herself, she’s killed her own business.

If Meghan did do that, few would believe her, not only because she is a known liar but also because it's impossible to imagine her taking instructions from William. She would also look spineless in not taking care of matters relating to her own family..

It really is. Surely with that knowledge to openly say she knew the Filipino authorities would be the first port of call with all the evidence of what she knew.

Instead it's giving the alleged perpetrator time to cover his tracks & he actually left the Phillipines in the meantime..

Have you found any media reports at all about this? , ive only seen second hand sm posts! , apparently the dog documentary won but nothing conclusive has come out yet!
edit to add….Meghan was announcing this from pillar to post previously, her fans were trumpeting the Emmy nomination and then ….nothing!

I posted about this on 17/08. My post then:

I did some hunting around this, because no-one could tell me where it came from when it first began to be posted here. Clearly the palace wouldn't have said so, and I couldn't see it being the kind of thing H&M would leak (if it was true, M would find it too humiliating).

It was first suggested (as sheer speculation) on The Rest is PR podcast on 13th July. It has gone round the internet as a rumour since then.

When I posted, people insisted that it must be true because the Sussexes hadn't denied it.

I don't think the Markles can be blamed for this, Meghan claimed this letter arrived in 2018 (met confirmed it was actually 2019) & she said she was "assured" the investigation was taking place.
In 2025 she writes to Thomas Markle saying she knows he abuses young girls.
How does she know this? She said she was assured an investigation was taking place. Did she receive the findings of the investigation?

When Tommy J found out he went to the authorities & the investigation was struck up immediately. His motives obviously are very questionable but he did act with the information he had

IdaGlossop · Today 13:28

Meghan's use of the 'daddy's girl' line as late as the Netflix show in 2022 baffles me. If you loved your father, you would desparately want an accusation of paedophilia not to be true and would do all you could to make sure it was investigated, in the fervent hope he could be exonerated. Instead, she assume he is guilty without there having been an investigation. It shows what a tight grip she has on the narrative she wants her life to be about.

W&C would come out fighting I imagine. They would win as Meg and h are proven liars. It would backfire hugely on them and any hope of a reconciliation then would be completely destroyed

Absolutely but it would never come to that! The Markle clan are completely beyond W&Cs remit. The buck stops with Meghan & Harry (if he knew)
