Nothing. Being royal is everything to them. This is a woman who gets herself announced by her title. To an interviewer, who, apart from the "house manager" doing the announcement, is the only person there.
Harry likes to remind his interviewers he's a Prince. He's not sure where of, but it's the Prince bit that matters.

They announced she was in labour when in fact she was at home with the baby. More lies.

Demanding the letter handover in his hospital bed was filmed by the lawyer that delivered it was another bad move - it makes her look cold and high handed. I wonder if she knew there was a Daily Mail journalist filming for him?

But I think in her mind it was creating the perfect paper trail for a posthumous tell-all story where she could produce the letter. At the time it was thought that he wouldn't survive. But M she loves a handwritten letter to reveal at a later date....

.... which, perhaps cynically, makes me wonder how it came about that the ex-wife decided to write a handwritten letter and send it directly to the Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (FTAC).

• would the average American know this existed? Why not address it to Meghan herself or "Scotland Yard"/the London Police etc?
• did someone suggest she send a handwritten letter?
• was it actually confirmed it came from her?
• Most Americans I know type letters - either computer or old typewriter

It's the general drama though, not specifically the latest headlines, all detracting from the work of the RF. Same as with AMW.

I have questions:

Letter 2019
As mentioned by others - why did the American ex-wife of a US citizen living in Mexico write a letter addressed to the Met Police Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (FTAC)? How did she know that department even existed? Why did she decide to do this after 44 years?
Did the letter actually include any specific allegations that could lead to any action, and if so, why was it sent to the UK rather than the US?

Why did Meghan send a letter to her father?
Why did she arrange for the delivery to be videotaped, and for him to sign a receipt?
Were the letter contents what she has stated - that he would not see the children, and that she knew he was an abuser?
The first part was never necessary - an ill man in the Philippines had no realistic chance of meeting the children.
The second part may or may not be true.

Boxes

Apparently TMjnr arranged shipping of the boxes, stored the boxes, opened the boxes, took them to a friend, and eventually took them to the police.

I think HAM enjoy playing cat-and-mouse with the press. But it means you cannot rely on what they say as there are so many falsehoods and contradictions.

I think they were also miffed because they attempted to negotiate an exclusive baby reveal/interview with Oprah's friend, Gayle King, for a US network (and presumably a lucrative fee) - but BP prevented it.

I think they thought they were being clever. They announced beforehand that they wouldn't share anything immediately, but would spend time bonding as a family. They got a bit carried away with it all, I think

Reading that latest Sun piece raises more questions. If his ex-wife was so concerned why would she leave both her young children with him? And why not speak to Doria? Still doesn't clarify why Meghan cut off contact with her father before the wedding and why Harry never met him.

The Philippine Police say the review of materials will be completed next week - that doesn't seem very long or thorough.

Samantha Markle is on TwiX saying her father never had access to his computer after he moved to the Philippines - TMJ had it stored in a basement and her father had limited mobility and, according to her, was pretty unwell the whole time.

I don't know if we'll ever get clarity, but I hope there is justice for any children who were harmed.

What the Sun is doing used to be called 'salami slicing' in research.

This is where someone would carry out a set of experiments and instead of reporting them in one paper they would divide up the results and try to publish as many papers as they could out of a single set of experiments.

The Sun is clearly trying to milk a very unpleasant scenario for all it is worth, and drip-feed sentences of this letter to create the greatest impact.

I might be missing something here, but, if you were told some years ago that your relative had done these things, of course you would be concerned about your children (or future children). But by not reporting it, or not following up any reporting, the what about all the other kids he was left free to abuse for those years? (assuming these allegations are true) How could you live with yourself?

None of it makes sense. Surely the first missus Markle would warn Doria when she had Meg ???

Also, I don't think any of the Markle brood are very bright. A forensic investigation will absolutely establish who downloaded sex abuse images. Tom junior and Meg should have kept quiet until investigation complete

There are so many little things I’ve forgotten re HaM, until someone mentions something and I think oh yeah. Quite remarkable when you add together all of the half-truths, lies and general bollocks.

Personally I think MM has been planning a tell all against her father for several years and thought creating a paper trail would make her story more believable.

So many handwritten letters! All of which are in MM's possession and she can produce within hours of the story breaking after 5 house moves -lucky she keeps such meticulous records and copies of the handwritten letters she sends her father.

2018 - handwritten letter - father embarrassed her over the wedding - leaked to 5 friends. She sued but was awarded only £1 in damages plus some of her costs.

2019 - handwritten letter from ex-wife - oddly addressed directly to an obscure unit involved in royal protection. Did anyone check the ex-wife actually wrote it?

2025 - handwritten letter - delivered by lawyers at a time when it was thought TM would likely die. Timing seems really odd as she had not seen him for 8-9 years at that stage. Why make contact to announce she was cutting off contact?

Based on what the first wife is saying TMS is absolutely revolting. And yet she left the two kids with him which is odd whichever way you look at it.

Meghan wrote a gushing piece about TMS in 2015 or 2016 for Father's Day on her blog. Saying what an incredible Dad he was...I suppose that was her truth at the time. Something happened between then and her finding out that he was possibly abusing children. I think she didn't want him spoiling her fairy tale and that is why she cut him off.

I don't think she and TMJ are in cahoots....he absolutely does not fit into her world .

I just don't know where HaM go from here... They'll spin the victim narrative - Megan will say 'i'm the child of an abuser' and maybe try to get involved with charities that help to stop child abuse.. but I don't know how they'll explain why she waited 7 years to speak up. Unless she comes up with a convincing explanation this will follow them forever. She'll try to blame someone - 'i had to protect the RF', ' I was silenced to protect others', 'I couldn't trust the letter writer',. She needs to be very careful about telling outright lies...but that hasn't stopped her before.

A tell all book would be a dreadful idea. Therefore I fully expect her to do it
