The continuing story of the Sussexes and their PR issues.

Nile Gardiner, Heritage Foundation, suggests the Sussex Squad may be Russian-backed as part of an attempt the destabilise the monarchy. If he's right (it's a possibility), HaM become Putin Puppets.

It would certainly make sense why those very strange texts a few days ago only made sense to me when I read them in a pretend Russian accent. 😆

My thoughts went to the Duke of Windsor - if social media had been in existence then there would have been the same furore. This piece could have written about Harry.

.... and these days you can't exile them to the Bahamas!!!

It's morning here. Just putting down a placemarking 🍑 before I start catching up.

@bluegreygreen Thanks for the new thread!

PS that's a PEACH everyone, not an 'emoji euphemism'! It's one of the ones that 'alliterates' with placemarking.

They were rather obvious attempts to reiterate that PH remains at the centre of the RF and has an unassailable constitutional role from which he can't be removed, that's for sure.

BemusedAmerican · Today 15:54

TheTwerkingDuchessOfMonteshitshow · Today 15:43

Fancy knowing that about the coffin.

Well the RF is descended from both Elizabeth of York and Henry Tudor. Nice touch on the part of the then Prince Charles.

Many thanks for your kind encouragement @bluegreygreen - it's much appreciated.

So may I add another thought of mine?

One of H&M's buzz words, used to describe themselves, is 'authentic'

They are members of the Soho Club where, I have read, the staff are trained to be friends with the clients. So not authentic friendship but bought with a subscription

And the more I read about the Nottingham events it is becoming increasingly obvious that the 'supporters' were bought by various means (paid PR scouting for them, Sussex Squad being 'encouraged' to attend etc etc) So nothing authentic there either

As ever, H&M love preaching to the rest of us about how to live our own best authentic lives but they would do well to note that the majority of us are doing just that whilst the two of them are not

I'll put my soap box away now & start cooking the Sunday roast!

Your post made me ponder 'authenticity'. 'Authentic' just refers to something being being real, being genuine. It doesn't necessarily mean 'good'. One could say that Trump is living his 'authentic' life. It may be 'authentic' but it's just not a very good or honourable life, is it?

So if HaM want to say they're living their 'authentic' life, let them. Because I suppose they are. But personally, if it were me, I'd keep that version of 'authenticity' to myself. And I certainly wouldn't say "Let us show you how to be as 'authentic' as we are".

AcrossthePond55 · Today 16:02

IdaGlossop · Today 10:58

I have also seen reports of schools being phoned to attend and some refusing, and one little girl receiving a hand-written invite from Meghan.

I'd like to know who commissioned a drone to take ariel footage of the 'crowds'.

I'd like to buy them a pint. 😉

I've no wish to be as authentic as they are, thanks. The fact that they keep banging on about it just shows that the whole 'authentic' thing is a pose because they don't even know what they mean by the term.

Given the way they chop and change they're about as authentic as chameleons.

Mark Toth warned about that back in 2024.

I've thought that for ages there are a number of the HAM posts that are written with a mixture of intent and hope to destabilise the UK.

Along with the "Trump is a good guy and everyone really thinks that", some of the "Lucy Letby is guilty" posts and some of the "there's going to be riots" or "political party is xyz" posts.
They're all written with the inability to argue their point, rigid mindset, repeat the same rubbish over and over again with no evidence for, only evidence against, and have a tendency for hysteria.

Plus I had a point where very similar posts were being made about Trump/HAM on our local FB chat (to great hilarity), clearly written with the same outlines given until their authors were banned for "not living locally", as did my sister in a totally different area - so clearly someone or some group was making a concerted effort to make their point badly

But that's just the point I was trying to make - the people who turned up to see H&M were 'encouraged' one way or another - they don't seem to have been the normal type of onlookers that we get at Royal Events - so they were not real or genuine

And the Soho Farmhouse, from what I've read, is a place where you pay a hefty subscription and the staff are trained to make friends with you. Again, not real or genuine

Very interesting - HaM obviously desperate that day in Nottingham!

Isn't it ironic that H & M probably wanted to do a half-in royal life, with all the premieres, state occasions, balcony, carriages etc, but to skip the overcast October day in a Nottingham industrial estate (for example).....?

Oh dear.

Grin Beautiful

If they were to be given the securidee they think they should have, they'd be out so often the UK would run out of petrol.

'Oh H, I'm just going to the corner shop for a pint of milk to show how English I am.'

'M, I'm going back to where I walked the dogs earlier because I forget to pick up the turds and put them in poo bags.'

'Just as well we had these life-size rag doll models of Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie made, M. As it's Bonfire Night, I've asked the securidee to drive them around the picturesque villages of the Cotswolds with 'Legend' playing out of the windows at full blast and then take them trick or treating in Windsor Great Park. They need to get to know their cousins so they can lead a normal life when Willy ascends the throne. It's my sacred mission to stop genetional trauma. It stops with me.'

'H, our next door neighbours deserve a proper hot dinner sprinkled with flowers. I'm going to take them some of the traditional steak and kidney pudding I made this morning with my own recipe suet pastry. Back in three!'

Now ,now mrsdanvers , chameleons are very misunderstood creatures and still more authentic and warm than ham!

Of course, one easy way to make the distinction would be to remove all titles from the Nobodies and reserve them for the Elite Force Royals. Much neater all round.

Removing the titles at this point would be a misstep, because it gives them something concrete to complain about 'when we're being royals who work and everything!'

Much MUCH better to ignore them totally, let them get bored and do something stupid. Don't tell me MM is going to happily traipse around the less salubrious parts of the UK* in a British winter. Then leave it to William to be hardarse and to carry out the nuclear option. He's probably got a plan in different coloured pens that he updates regularly.

*Apologies to Nottingham, nothing personal.

.....leave it to William to be hardarse and to carry out the nuclear option. He's probably got a plan in different coloured pens that he updates regularly.

This gave me a mental picture of W sitting down at his desk, looking for a different coloured pen and sighing in exasperation: "Well fuck*. Strike version 2343923 of 'what do we do about them'. On to version 2343924".

*I'm sure the PoW doesn't actually say 'fuck' in moments of exasperation. But he is forgiven when it comes to HaM. They'd drive a saint to using profanity.

To me authenticity is deciding your values, living by them and being seen to live by them. Not that that means being authentic in that way is necessarily admirable, of course.

The way they bang on about it reminds me of those people who keep saying 'you can trust me' - '' yeah, that should be obvious. if you have to keep telling me, clearly you know you're not coming over as trustworthy, are you?

I don't think they even know what the hell they mean by it.

😂😂 two official engagements this week. Upstaging Aberfan. Upstaging state visit.

I predict 3/4 view of Lili's face. Verbiage from H about his MH, grief and panic attacks on way to work

Harry being buried, under the weight of royal duty? Because, yes, I do believe he would go there.
