Mmmm.
I think most ordinary people didn’t think it beyond the realms of possibility that Meghan experienced a degree of racism, or at least, as Harry called it, unconscious bias, when she joined the RF.
She also said that the extreme racism of the tabloids was one of the major reasons why she had to leave and I can quite understand that.
I’m genuinely baffled why her claims are dismissed so readily when you look at the evidence?
Having read Entitled, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the RF put pressure on Harry, through legal or financial means, to back track on his original statement.
I’m not saying every member of the household is racist, but as Harry explained himself in Spare, he thought it was acceptable to call an army colleague a racist nn, before he married Meghan and became more enlightened, and he was a product of his upbringing.
British aristocracy is a very white, traditional, insular group of people and the RF is quite a closed shop within that. As we know they inter-marry. A lot of their wealth and raw materials for their jewellery was accrued through the profits of slavery. BP didn’t employ ethnic minorities in senior positions for a long time and in the late 1960s and ‘70s, royal aides used the "Queen's consent" legislative procedure to exclude the monarch and the royal household from anti-discrimination legislation, such as the Race Relations Acts, Sex Discrimination Act, and Equal Pay Act.

And we know, Prince Philip, who was a very prominent force in his family, used extremely racist terms in public , heaven knows what he thought it was acceptable to say in private! He has a long, well-documented history of making racist, xenophobic, or culturally insensitive remarks while on official duties.
People always argue that Prince Philip’s racism should be excused because he was old and it was “just banter” but my late father was born to a white family in a small country village in the UK just before PP, and served as a professional soldier, he also lived to a great age, and I never heard him utter a racist word in his entire life!
In 2012, AMW was accused of using the N-word + woodpile expression during a trade policy meeting by a senior advisor to David Cameron called Rohan Silva.
And in 2007, Jacqui Smith, former Home Secretary, stated that AMW made offensive and racist comments about Arabs, including "camel jokes," during a state dinner at BP hosted for the Saudi royal family.
What is just as bad is that on both of these occasions, Buckingham Palace defended the former PA very emphatically, asserting that he didn’t tolerate racism in any form.

And of course there was the Blackamoor brooch incident only nine years ago, when Princess Michael of Kent attended a BP pre-Christmas lunch, where MM was being introduced to the wider family for the first time.
So that is evidence of racism in at least three generations of the same family.
