A crowd has turned out to see them. It’s currently being covered live on Sky News. Why on earth would anyone do this?

They aren’t working royals. They are just a pair of chancers who have scuttled back to Britain with their tails between their legs because they have died on their arses in the US. And now people are tugging their forelocks to them here.

People really are absolute fucking morons.

All the royals are celebrities

They're not particularly popular, though, and not being able to use HRH annoys Harry because it means he can't claim to be a working royal who represents the King. The fact he tried to get HRH written on his kids' passports in the hope that this would make it possible for them to be working royals in the future shows that he is deeply panicked over this and understands that the implications are serious for his kids (all his own fault, of course).

Meghan still refers to herself as HRH in private correspondence.

It’s admirable how you can state things like this as though they are fact. What are your sources for what you’ve said about the passport and the private correspondence?

SilenceInside · 15/10/2026 22:26

@BunnyBunbunbun celebrities are public figures, public figures are celebrities. What do you think a public figure is?

They try and claim royals are public servants. If that was really true, it would be a merit based appointment system.

@BunnyBunbunbun Andrew still uses his titles in private

Andrew doesn't have any titles. Meghan was using the HRH in correspondence with the former prime minister of Ukraine, giving the false impression that she was representing the King and hence the British state.

Really? Oh I actually feel quite sad for her. How desperate.

"The Guardian understands that Prince Harry wants to keep the HRH titles for his children so that when they grow older they can decide for themselves whether they want to become working royals, or stay out of public life."

Meghan and possibly also Harry were using HRH in correspondence with the now former prime minister of Ukraine (so, even worse, in correspondence with a foreign politician, as though they represent the King and British state), who kept referring to them as HRH in her correspondence with them. Meghan posted the letters she got with her being referred to as HRH on Instagram.

So that's your insult? When it's completely false. Go and argue with real Sussex squad numpties and stop insinuating people on MN are part of that, because MNHQ often delete comments saying that

Different opinions are allowed on here you know..

I don't personally mix with rapists of sex trafficked teenagers. But it has been reported many times.

And they receive massive perks eg chauffeurs, maids, cleaning staff, chefs, personal doctors, stylists, a huge number of homes if you are the main players, admin staff, couture clothes. They receive special deals from the firms who work with them via the royal warrant scheme eg Range Rover and Fortnums and many more. If that’s not half in and half out, I don’t know what is?

No, that is not "half in, half out." Those are privileges associated with the position—politicians have similar ones...
"Half in, half out" refers to the possibility of conducting personal business—favoring certain companies, which is detrimental to the Crown, that in such matters must be neutral—or entering into deals with companies that have a questionable track record, which is also harmful.
Citizens tend to be very alert regarding this; it was one of the reasons why the Edinburghs stepped back from their private business ventures back in 2002...
The potential private business activities of the royals are governed by what are known as the "Luce Directives," which are so strict that they make any personal business venture outside of the Crown practically impossible.

Irene is 90 years old. She is kissing the ‘royal’ hand, with cameras pointing at her. There’s a lot of media there. What’s it all for? Why are H and M back in Salty Island?

Anyway that’s the visit finished. Back in the car now to relax with some soothing elixirs.

(Image under review - it’ll take a couple of minutes.)

You know I could swear that there was a similar pic on here a while back accusing Catherine the Princess of Wales as using an old person as a prop ?

fuschiaproudparrot · 15/10/2026 23:29

I've just seen coverage of this for the first time this evening. I saw someone presented them with a framed photo of their first trip there in 2017. I was shocked to see how different Meghan looks now. You can see where she's clearly had surgery. She's aged very badly.

NocturnalFox · 15/10/2026 23:29

They aren’t. Do you think the Duchess of Gloucester is a celebrity comparable to, say, Melania Trump?

I don't know if you know but the casual use of the word " triggered" is considered to be the trivialisation of , minimising and mocking the severe impacts of trauma and PTSD. There is a clinical meaning of this word and it's not the situation here is it ? There are more respectful terms that can be used .

Oh I see Harry was up to his usual - tugging a man's ginger beard and kissing a blond much to Meghan's disgust. She just couldn't hide it .

They donated money to the charities they visited today and helped to raise their profile.

It's interesting to see you say that as so often on here people say the RF don't do anything for charities by raising awareness . I'm happy to see you saying that this is not the case.
