A crowd has turned out to see them. It’s currently being covered live on Sky News. Why on earth would anyone do this?

They aren’t working royals. They are just a pair of chancers who have scuttled back to Britain with their tails between their legs because they have died on their arses in the US. And now people are tugging their forelocks to them here.

It's not a royal visit. It is just two people who are famous for various reasons going on a visit. Some people decided to turn out to see them (as they do with any celebrity) and lots of people were having a jolly time - what's not to like?

Not sure of the relevance of that 2013 piece to this thread about H+M’s trip to Nottingham this week. They hadn’t even met at that point, Meghan was still married to Trevor. Also not sure how the c+p bit about HM and HMQ looking at each other, and the canapés being on sticks “shined a light on the whole damn crumbling edifice”. I admit that although I read it at the time I haven’t reread the whole article now. Mostly what I remember is some quite unpleasant stuff about the royal women, mostly the PoW, including remarks about how she looks, body shape etc. Maybe that’s why you took the opportunity to post it? I’m not really a fan of that kind of thing when discussing any of them tbf. But do like Hilary generally!

Anyway, I honestly can’t see how HaM could be feeling great after Thursday. To actually see in person the plastic roadblocks and paltry crowd must surely feel a bit deflating.

The meeting between Andreas Thing of the Palace and whoever was HAM's PR person that week. HAM's PR leaked it to CG, and the DM got pics and a scoop. HAM blamed it on a leak from BP. CG then got a second story - how HAM leaked to her, then blamed BP.

ETA: this is ( yet another) clear case where those here defendinh HAM could concede a point of fact and acknowledge that he lied in court, while still arguing that HAM are good people/hard done by/ whatever. But, no, H's egregious behaviour is dismissed with a whataboutery-squirrel ( typically AMW).
