H&M are currently doing a ‘Royal’ walkabout thing in Nottingham.

A crowd has turned out to see them. It’s currently being covered live on Sky News. Why on earth would anyone do this?

They aren’t working royals. They are just a pair of chancers who have scuttled back to Britain with their tails between their legs because they have died on their arses in the US. And now people are tugging their forelocks to them here.

People really are absolute fucking morons.

I don't understand your post, extrashot. He wanted to be CEO of Wellness Child?

I am so amused with posters who are so worked up about them. Let them get on with it, and stop being negative about these charities.

Good on Harry, 18 years with WellnessChild. And where you have decided that Harry does nothing for the charity, perhaps you need a rethink on that one. They have nothing but praise for him.

I'm not the slightest bit exhausted with them because I don't bother with them a lot of the time. If I was I would do what I do with celebs or famous people who annoy me. Ignore them. Don't ever click on anything about them. Don't go on forums talking about them.

fando · 16/10/2026 09:38

But if people didn’t click on it, write comments etc there would be no interest. The very people who often want them to “go away” consume everything about them & drive the interest 😆

They're the real fans aren't they?!

SilenceInside · 16/10/2026 09:37

@ExtraHotDoubleShot "we're" not exhausted. You find it exhausting. Me, I don't pay much attention to what the royal family do day to day, as I am not interested in them as celebrities and I am not in favour of the monarchy in general. So if you find them exhausting, then I would try just ignoring them altogether. It's really quite easy to do!

You’d be surprised. They’re determined that we will all notice them!

Exactly! I wouldn't know about half of what they do if it wasn't for people who apparently hate them, starting threads about them. It's a most peculiar obsession.

fando · 16/10/2026 09:47

And of course putting yourself in the public eye will attract criticism but I just think for many it seems to border on obsession. Thats the bit I find strange, I have never watched her show, read their websites or followed them on social media etc because I am not that interested. I do enjoy some of her fashion though. Why do people consume it all and then spend hours on the internet criticising it? It’s just very strange to me.

Maybe they don't, maybe they're enjoying the entertainment? It's like a soap opera or a reality show, I suppose.

SilenceInside · 16/10/2026 09:48

@ExtraHotDoubleShot unless they come round and knock on my door I am totally able to utterly ignore them if I choose to! They aren't stalking or harassing me. People who read about them choose to consume that media and that's a choice they need to own!

I find it baffling, how can someone be exhausted by what a stranger does? 😆

Constantrunner · 16/10/2026 09:49

By the way on the TV news they spoke to various young people who had turned up to see them who seemed to be thrilled at seeing them. One young teenager who used the charity was really sweet. She said now every time she comes she will be able to think harry and Meghan were here. It was obviously a big deal to her. Local people also gave Meghan flowers and one said without their help, the charities would not still exist.

I defo think there is an element of this but people won’t own up to it but I still find it odd in 2026 when we have so many other things to occupy our time.

Yes, it's weird, but you get the fans who post constantly about how wonderful they are; they seem to attract a lot of oddbods. There's been some very, very strange threads on here!

Constantrunner · 16/10/2026 09:50

Its exhausting I am sure constantly posting hate about strangers. Not good for the psyche.

simpsonthecat · 16/10/2026 09:52

I get that it's amusing entertainment for some. But some posters are exhausted, angry, wanting them to eff off back to the US, annoyed they are here to the point they have to keep saying so on and on and on .. along with all the other criticisms of them of course.

If I was on a forum day in day out with someone that annoyed me intensely, looking up what they have been up to that day, reading the media about them then writing on and on about it... I'd probably be exhausted too!

Life's too short.

But he left with the intention of not just ‘supporting’ but being CEO/Master.

He wanted a massive brand like the Gates foundation, where they could be in charge but delegate the boring stuff to other people

The fact is they just don’t have business acumen. They’re not bright, either of them. Fine to turn up looking glittery and do a bit of simply schmoozing but they have nothing beyond that.

Hence none of their actual business or charity ventures working out

They're not only incompetent themselves but won't be told what to do and can't take criticism. That was their main problem when they were working royals. They knew best and were going to be a breath of fresh air.

Very well said 👏👏👏

Why spend day after day posting about someone who you don’t know and don’t like? It seems pretty pointless.

Good point, that's really very arrogant.

They tell you they find it entertaining to watch their downfall. Which says alot more about them as people. If you get your entertainment from tearing people down ...

Imagine some of them are raising children, do they teach their children that to? I doubt it.

With all of the problems one could focus on in the world, bothering to complain about others complaining or spending their time on something that doesn’t interest you seems like a silly choice.

“Life’s too Short” is that some kind of code?

Well, it's very individual, isn't it? Some threads on various boards make me go 🙄.

Who were they tearing down with their three charity visits yesterday?

I meant posters here who spend time posting about what others are posting about.

Mumsnet should add an in-app game so posters can play bingo using the invectives that are slung around.

And yet here you are, letting what occupies time for others to occupy you. Off you pop, am sure there’s many other things that could be occupying your time. Bonkers.

It “says alot about people.”
