Still interested, still not bored….a small request please 🙏…can we try to keep criticism to actions and behaviour and rather than getting personal.😁

It took a few posts for you to grasp what others were trying to point out. I don’t post on here much, I tend to read, but I really dislike it when people assertively post stuff which isn’t true. Especially when they keep insisting it’s right. I am all in for criticising the actions and words that HaM put out themselves, that’s the point of these threads. But just linking stuff which is often press guesswork, and being so adamant about its truth, is not ideal.

As a general point, not directed to you, but more to the threads. I’m here for the discussion on what HaM actually do and say (or don’t do and say in some cases, their silence is sometimes deafening!). With regards to appearances, Harry has set himself up as fair game re hair loss - he’s the one who put it out there. But I don’t think we then need to stoop to commenting on his eyes etc - none of us can help how our genes shape our features. For Meghan, criticising her questionable fashion choices is fair game, but descending into commentary on her physical features drags the thread down as, again, none of us can change how our genes have shaped us.

Sorry for the mini rant, but I feel that the reason I liked to dip in and out of these threads is because they mainly weren’t salacious gossip and bitching, they were discussing and analysing the stuff that HaM put out there themselves. I’ll shut up now and am going to look at a couple of websites re turning a photo of the front of my teeny cottage into an advent calendar.

I've got some life stuff at the moment that means I can't keep up with these threads. But I wanted to say that I really like your post and agree with it.

Lifestooshort71 · 11/10/2026 07:06

When they lived in the US, if they wanted RAVEC security, they had to give 28 days notice and details of the visit and then a decision would be made, as a one off, yay or nay. Now they supposedly live in the UK, does RAVEC still have to honour that deal and how on earth do they make a decision? HAM are 'private citizens' so can't plead royal duties and why should the taxpayer fund private visits of any description? Will RAVEC's decision be an all-or-nothing one or like the old one?
(Apologies if previously discussed but I haven't dipped in regularly)

I hope things are better for you and yours soon.

It’s all happening here as well. Ive had post viral fatigue for 6 weeks now and my boy is going through a very bad period in relation to his autism, and related mental health diagnosis. It’s not a good combination when you want to be/need to be on your A game for your son.

lots of love to everyone out there who’s going through hard times right now ❤️

Thank you and I hope you are able to navigate this season well too. Life just gets complicated doesn't it.

RAVEC assign security based on threat level. It doesn't depend on their status at all, or who Harry's Dad is, a point he has never grasped. They will get security if the intelligence warrants it, if it doesn't they won't.

Can I make a suggestion? With the greatest respect to @jeffgoldblum , I wonder if the numbered threads are creating the change in tone. It used to be that if something happened there would be a thread on it, but there would be periods where nothing happened so things went quiet. I think it's the numbered threads that prompt posts even when there is nothing to report or comment on particularly. So then things get a bit nasty and speculative.
Maybe it would be better to pause the numbered threads for a bit. Otherwise I think a lot of posters will lose interest and stop following or posting. The threads move so quickly it's hard to keep up too.

I don't know how everyone else feels, but I think the change of tone is due to this situation.

It could be, although I know why Jeff does it, so we know where we are. It's a shame about the change in tone though.

Well this one seems obvious. Meghan was previously connected with the original Grenfell community kitchen and this project seems to be part of/an offshoot of the same project. She was also an actress, and the sports connection for Harry during the visit obviously comes from Invictus.

My thoughts are along the lines of when this would have been organised? Can organisations plan these events in the couple of weeks Harry and Meghan have been back and if not is this engagement an indication their return to the UK had been planned for some considerable time?

They got school places in two schools for two children very quickly too, near me all the private schools have waiting lists & class sizes are small so you'd wonder were A&L on these lists for some time

Just wanted to echo this sentiment. I am better known as Shockthemonkey (temporary change of name due to computer issues), and I am supporting my sister and her underage daughter through a horrific event that has left us all trembling with shock and rage. I’m kept quite busy reassuring, comforting, validating, feeding and housing them while sister liaises with police, lawyers and therapists. So I really appreciate these posts and send my moral support. Sometimes things happen that you could never have imagined were survivable, but my sister soldiers on to keep her daughter safe.

I also don’t comment on looks as I couldn’t care less, really (unless someone has really overdone the cosmetic surgery or dental work as that’s a choice they made)…Also, since I dress like a stable hand I don’t usually “do” fashion either, however I am finding the comments on Meg’s dress sense hilarious and great comic relief during a stressful time.

So thank you everyone… Flowers 💐 to anyone who needs them - in fact to everyone, cos why not, it’s Sunday!

I think they have made millions by pawning their stories but that's only going to last as long as they have new stuff to pawn

They haven't got any new stuff. There can't be anything to say about Diana that hasn't already been said. Their inside info on the RF is six and a half years old and no-one's talking to them so they won't be gathering any new gossip. They've got nothing left to sell.

I wonder if this documentary is produced whether lawyers from the RF and any others will demand to go over it first before it hits the screens.

Thank you. It's interesting this one isn't behind a pay wall. It's funny the articles reporting they won't be invited to Sandringham him for Christmas, that was always a given. The royal family aren't fools & I can't imagine H&M will ever spend Christmas there again.

smilesy · 10/10/2026 22:17

Quite. Also, if they have earned that kind of money, why are they back over here trying to get free security?

They're not trying to get free security. They want armed, state-provided security. In many other countries, private security can be armed; in the UK only state-provided security can be armed. It's probably also wrapped up in ideas of status, particularly royal status, Harry wanting for his kids the type of security he apparently grew up with, without realising that his kids do not have the same status he did when growing up. It's like ensuring his kids have the titles prince or princess and trying to get (apparently on their passports) his kids styled as HRH, Meghan being a Duchess, etc.

Maybe Nottingham is "special to them" because their first shared accommodation was Nottingham Cottage (which - bizarrely, Meghan was rude about whereas most couples have fond romantic memories of even the tiniest of first shared homes).

That’s a very detailed article - looks like a strategic effort to clear the decks of any speculation (looks like they’ve been reading these threads) so that media can focus on their actual activities. I find it bizarre that they have to state MM had lunch with friends at the River Cafe and that they are often seen in the gym at Soho Farmhouse (unless she is paid by both). Also her planned return to acting. It’s quite honest (humble? realistic?) about the non Christmas invite.

BUT PH doing a doc with Doreen Lawrence on racism is amusing……

"you'd wonder were A&L on these lists for some time"

I wondered about that too. I can imagine Harry put the kids on various waiting lists a while ago. Most private schools also have entry requirements, even for such a young age as 7 or 5. Not written exams but an evaluation through activities and an interview. Even if their granddad is the King, a school would still want to make sure that all pupils have the skills and aptitude to cope with their curriculum, otherwise it would be terrible for the children themselves.

I’m still trying to figure out why they’re back. Clearly nothing to do with repairing their relationship with Charles since they haven’t seen him since they returned and didn’t bother to tell him they were coming. They’ve both said several times that they were living their best life in California and would never live in the UK again, so I suppose it must be a somewhat reluctant move that they have been forced to make. So either something dramatic like a debt that they can’t pay, or simply not able to support themselves financially. If Meghan’s business were doing well they would have had no need to change things.

The mystery is how they think being here will help. There don’t seem to be any new income streams, it’s not like Harry has a job or anything. They might get taxpayer funded security (doubt it) but that wouldn’t be enough to make a difference I don’t think.

My conclusion is that through their various events and being spotted with the right people, they are trying to remind everyone how great they were at being working royals, in the hope of being readmitted to the fold. So Meghan setting up pap shots with Malala, Harry at the rugby with his royal ish cousin, similar to William at the football. And some pontificating on ishoos at various charity gigs. If successful, this would give them free accommodation, at least some security, an income and royal adjacency which would help to sell Meghan’s tat. Or she could regretfully but gracefully close down As ever, shame as she was so good at it, but her duty to the country is more important.

I think there was talk in one People article that they thought that A+L would be their way in, that the family would be so desperate to meet them that they would tolerate Meghan. I expect they were also expecting to be wildly popular and that public opinion would help to sway Charles and William. The piss taking over her Malala outfit and the booing at the rugby must have been a bit of a blow. Likewise the complete lack of interest in the children. I wonder how long before they realise that they will never be working royals again, and what plan B might be. “Let us back in or we’ll do another book” I expect 🤔

Grief grifting

UncleColm · 11/10/2026 09:21

Looks like they are forcing the 'half in half out' that the Queen expressly said she did not want.
The Grenfell project - has Meghan been in touch at all over the last 8 years or so? Is it something that can just be used when it suits her?
And if they were so concerned about their security then perhaps they shouldn't be detailing what they will be doing?

bluegreygreen · 11/10/2026 09:21

I agree with @MeghanAndTheSeals very eloquent post from overnight.

The reason I have appreciated these threads, and the community here, is the rigorous discussion of behaviour, mixed with humour, while not veering into the attacks on physical characteristics and open misogyny that is seen on other sites.

This change is very recent (just this thread and the last), so I don't think that it is due to the threads now being numbered, given that we have reached number 48 of the numbered threads.

Perhaps if most regular posters feel similarly, we can be very clear in shutting down the type of comment that isn't wanted, rather than changing how the threads are otherwise managed?
