Still interested, still not bored….a small request please 🙏…can we try to keep criticism to actions and behaviour and rather than getting personal.😁

Years ago I was going into the British Embassy where I live and a taxi pulled up just as I was reaching the security gate. The guard gestured for me to let the occupant of the taxi approach the barrier first and right before my eyes was a tall and handsome young man who I still to this day believe was Prince Harry. He was in cargo trousers, a white tshirt and because of the recognisable desert boots he was wearing I immediately thought ‘has he been on a visit to Iraq or Afghanistan’. Of course we didn’t know at the time he was serving in one of those countries but he was so dressed down and casual looking that it made me think of ‘hiding in plain sight’ - not that he was hiding but he certainly was travelling fuss free.

My friends and family said I was seeing things but I know I wasn’t and no one’s going to make me change my mind. So there!!!!

I believe you 🤣

I had a similar experience where I was convinced someone was Harry! 🤣

My sisters and I were out clubbing in London in the early 2010s, and we’d just left a nightclub. We’d managed to get ourselves a taxi when some knobhead men tried to steal it from us by getting into the other side while we were chatting to the driver. My sisters were trying to get them out, while I was stood on the pavement near the smokers, getting upset. This man who looked (AND sounded) the spitting image of Harry came over and asked me what was wrong. I told him, “These knobheads have nicked our taxi!” and this man (who I obviously thought was Harry 🤣) and his mate went straight over to the taxi, dragged these men out and told us to get in quickly!

As we waved them off and the taxi pulled away, one of my sisters turned to me and said, “That guy well looked like Prince Harry!” and I said I thought so too 🤣

In hindsight, we were absolutely hammered, and we always seem to spot ‘famous’ people on nights out when we’re drunk, so it probably wasn’t him. But we like to cling to the hope that Prince Harry once rescued us from a couple of taxi stealing knobheads in London 🤣🫣

Seasidewalker · 10/10/2026 16:05

To me William looks like a responsible man with a sense of humour, who dresses well (whether formal or casual), who appears to love, care and support his wife deeply, ditto his children, he appears interested when he meets people (the Ross Kemp/Traitors interaction this week was great!). There is a lot there to make him attractive

I believe you both! In London anything is possible. Off topic but I spotted Beatrice in Harrords some years ago, I thought she was really beautiful in real life, her hair is gorgeous. I was very conscious not to stare!

Hellos to Williamsextra and lamarsch haven't seen you on this thread so far

Hello. I have been on Jury Duty but unlike a PP from the previous thread, due to security reasons I do not publish my schedule in advance.

I also namechange on a regular basis (again for security issues, we Public Figures have to be prepared for any eventuality).

Are we allowed to say “adjacent” yet?

I would like to believe you empress but …with what we know about his character and drunken behaviour I’m finding it hard to believe that he wouldn’t have either knicked the taxi himself or tried to get off with you!
when I was younger and drunk out in oxford I was convinced I was dancing with vin diesel ( when he was at his peak) , he didn’t deny it and it wasn’t until a less drunk co worker came over and said “no you idiot it’s clearly not him “ did I realise!

Yes exactly that's why I love William, he has strong values & does look very invested in the public when hes out & about or on official duty. George looks very similar to William in his youth & is also going to be very tall. Strong genes.

Starryfifty · 10/10/2026 16:29

Harry's resilience will help him cope with the boos

occhiali · 10/10/2026 16:29

Is resilience another word for stash these days?

DM Australia didn't hold back quoting Meghan's favourite Ralph Lauren..
My daughter was correct I think, she definitely needed a belt to break up the waist band & top..

Also the unnecessary untouching of Malala who is not reciprocating, you wouldn't need to be a body language expert to see Meghan is completely invading Malala's personal space..

As far as H's looks go, I think he was (and probably could still be) a good looking man. But these days when I look at him I'm reminded of 2 phrases: "Manners makyth the man" and "Handsome is as handsome does". It's pretty amazing how much one's perpetual expression and one's words can affect one's looks.

William and Harry do have things in common in their features (Don't shoot me!!). But where William's inner happiness shows in his expression and his words in public are kind and appropriate and make him a handsome man, Harry's expression shows his inner UNhappiness and his public words are unkind and inappropriate which makes him, well, not so handsome anymore.

Oh I love stories like this and choose to believe them all true. Why not? It does sound quite likely.

My mother is convinced she met Steve Jobs in a hotel in London.

My brother and I still argue about whether we shared a lift with Phil Collins coming down from the World Trade Centre restaurant in 1986!

I love that. I am sure it was him. ❤️

Workman was listening to a full Phil Collin’s album at mums house earlier this week.

Sorry across, I hate to have a rare moment of not agreeing with you but …this is all I see now ….

No, it was a happy post actually. His music is great and I thought it was nice to hear the whole No Jacket Required album straight through.

It was probably just some posho ginge but it makes for a fun story 🤣🫣

cheezncrackers · 10/10/2026 16:56

Re: good looks and personality - I agree that someone who's not bad looking, but is a really good/kind/decent person becomes more attractive. But Harry is a good example of someone whose personality makes him less attractive. His whiny victimhood and constant wanging on about his mental health only makes things worse. There is nothing wrong with being sensitive and it's positively good to be emotionally intelligent, but Harry is a woke wimp with a victim complex and that's just not attractive or sexy.

I have a friend that spotted Belinda Carlisle at an amusement park circa 1986 and she left him free tickets to her concert that night for keeping mum.
