Still interested, still not bored….a small request please 🙏…can we try to keep criticism to actions and behaviour and rather than getting personal.😁

It has never left me how horrific and incomprehensible clinical depression is to those who haven't suffered it.
What an insensitive clod he is.

My worst depression was after DM died. It took me 18 months on Citalopram and THAT'S a measure of how bad it was, that I actually asked the GP for medication.

Re H as 'grief counsellor' - I lurk on the Ask A Manager site. There are often posts asking about therapists being brought into work by managers keen to do this and that therapeutic work with staff, and it's routinely pointed out that untrained therapists and counsellors can do a lot of damage and have no idea how to deal with the fallout.

I'm angered by the man's sheer staggering arrogance that he's the only one who has ever suffered and he's uniquely qualified to give advice (if that's what he's doing). I really hope some attendees ask what his qualifications are, (apart of course being the only person ever to have lost a parent as a child).

If he is doing counselling then I hope that organisation has rock solid insurance. Someone'll get upset and someone will sue.

Edited

I often think that H must have sacked all the decent therapists when they tried to help him take some accountability and/ or start to move forwards instead wallowing in a bucket of self pity and blaming others.

He then finally found one with no professional integrity who was willing to be paid to sit with tilted head agreeing with him on how he is the most hard done by and wonderful person, his mum was murdered, his family have never lifted a hand to help him etc etc.

I have posted before that I lost my mum when I was 7 years old, then was sent to live with an abusive father I had barely met but I don’t shape my whole identity on it.

H is an insult to those of us who have had to genuinely deal with our own trauma.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 09/10/2026 16:31

One of the deeply irritating things about him is that he doesn't realise how lucky he actually was, getting access to therapy. DF died in the 60s, I was back at school after two days (my friends and the teachers were endlessly kind) and that was pretty much it. We moved house, changed schools, and learned not to mention DF too much because it made our mother cry.

TheOvertGardener · 09/10/2026 16:36

Has he undertaken any training? Is he going to actually be counseling people?

SqueakyDinosaur · 09/10/2026 16:38

@ChristmasHampered "Tangent but my Irish autotype brain just tried to spell her name as Michelle O'Bama which just made me laugh a little bit 😁"

Somewhere I have a photo from a cafe menu offering "Pain O'Chocolat" as part of its breakfast section...

Hello gardener! 👋 , I was wondering where you were !
great to see you again.

Not only did he have access to therapy and a close extended family but money was not an object. So many families struggle financially when they lose a parent. I have seen it firsthand.

Noodledog · 09/10/2026 16:43

Whatever the training he has received in grief, it's certainly resulted in an excellent ability to monetize it.

Thank you Jeff!

I have been off in distant lands on other adventures.

Harry seems to have developed a problem figuring out how to behave as a man who has means but no defined purpose. I am sure he and M didn’t think this all through 6 years ago.

I have some idea where…..😁
i think that is the main problem with ham , neither apparently thinks about anything before they do it 🤷‍♀️ , and harry clearly has no idea how the majority of people on the planet live!

Maybe Harry can join Vogue Williams & Joanne McNally on My Therapist Ghosted Me, sounds ideal for him!

Absolutely, that must be true.

In fairness I think most people don’t know how others live at all. Even my closest friends, it’s so rare that I’m in their homes for normal living. Usually just a few hours at a time for a visit or a cocktail hour or whatever.

So someone so far removed from the normal way people live would be clueless. I wonder if he even ever paid a utility bill.

This post makes me want to go back in time and give little @MrsDanversGlidesAgain the most enormous hug.

Just jumping back a few pages wasn’t there a power play involving hands etc between Macron and Trump. I’ve always rather liked Macron even if I don’t really understand French politics

If chatter and rumours are true …no he has never paid a bill , food magically appeared in his fridge, his home was self cleaning, his clothes laid out …..

Yes apparently trump likes to do a power handshake and macron wasn’t having it.

What did Macron do? Go limp?! Laugh in Trump’s face? Oooh.

We do of course, because we see people in the supermarket doing their shop, we see them filing their cars with petrol, at the GP, the dentist, the school pick ups, the pharmacy etc. we are all part of each others' lives at work, catching the bus or train, queuing up for vaccines etc. Harry has never been part of this world. He doesn't know what it's like to worry about a supermarket bill, or how much petrol costs, or if the bus is cancelled.
He has therapists on speed dial and no job demands. No waiting for an NHS therapist. No worry about taking time off work.
He has no idea. You're right about utility bills! I strongly suspect he's never done most domestic tasks!

I know! Can you imagine? When they lived at Nottingham Cottage they had housekeeping, gardening, laundry, shopping, chauffeurs on tap and - of course - security.
Never having to find a plumber or book an electrician or remembering to service the boiler would be my dream!

My memory isn’t great so excuse my rather shite explanation…..trump apparently seizes the hand and then moves it so his is on top , macron was prepared and would not allow the move….it looked a tad clumsy but both parties styled it out!! 😁

That's really sad Mrs what a lot of upheaval at such a young age x I know people will say "different times..." but still that's very hard & must have been very confusing for you 💐

Another reason Harry boils my fucking blood with his whinging & monopolisation of grief & trauma despite EVERYTHING at his fingertips

But they had to use their own money Shock to buy a sofa! Rock bottom right there Sad
