Still interested, still not bored….a small request please 🙏…can we try to keep criticism to actions and behaviour and rather than getting personal.😁

And from what I've read, Jayne Mansfield's death was every bit as traumatic as Diana's.

Mariska, unlike H has a hugely successful career. She has survived an awful lot. Her childhood was very traumatic. She doesn't need to merch of her tragic mother. Unlike talentless, obnoxious Prince of England

@ForAmberPoster

is the time change so bad when you fly by private jet? I seem to manage ok in economy

I think the escape flight was commercial - as I recall it that's the one with the BS story about MM being thanked by a pilot.

In any event with the benefit of a bit of experience I reckon UK > North America west coast is one of the worse time changes, even with access to a flat bed or even a bunk..definitely used to clobber me when I did them but people vary.

The claw: The first time I saw it was on Harry's back at Skippy's wedding - and it's rarely been far from his back since then.

Is Harry still in touch with Skippy & Guy Pelly, all his old crew? There is literally nothing written now about his old group of pals

I think Skippy and wife were at St George’s but they didn’t make the cut for the meal ( although OW and the Clooneys did!)
Don’t know about Guy Pelly but I think he was one of the ( many) friends who told Harry to slow down .

Doesn’t one of them live in the US and was
invited to a reception when the King was visiting?

I really, REALLY hope someone has the stones to stand up and ask 'just what exactly are your therapeutic qualifications for this apart from 'my mum died when I was 13'?

It seems many of us hope that, @MrsDanversGlidesAgain, but somehow it never happens

Confirmation bias again perhaps? As in people probably won't be paying for his nonsense if they're not already fans, and aren't likely to want to admit their money was wasted

Weren't a lot of them also friends of William?

Nobody ever asks and if he was asked, there would be bleating about bias because his wife is black or such crap

Starryfifty · 09/10/2026 15:22

H has the time and money to get a professional qualification. He would gain a bit of respect if he actually went and did this. I know he's not very bright

We are still unfortunately in the situation, in our current society, where 'lived experience' (in quotation marks because I detest the tautology) counts for as much as, if not more than, professional qualification and expertise.

Hence we have a parallel scenario, discussed at length on a different thread, of a member of the House of Lords, part of our legislative body, personally reviling an independent judge when a ruling goes against her.

Without wishing to derail, last night I watched Mariska Hargitay's documentary "My Mom Jayne", about her mother Jayne Mansfield, who died in a car crash when Mariska was three (Mariska and her brothers were in the car). It's a really beautiful, moving, raw, honest and incredibly well-made film. There are parallels with Harry (and William), but I was most suprised by how much Mariska has been able to hold herself together with all the messes she's had to deal with in her life as well as the mixed feelings she had as a younger woman towards her mother - whom she has almost no memories of - and how she embarked on a journey to understand her mother.

I kept thinking as I was watching that Mariska must have had some amazing therapy to have dealt with the things she's had to deal with. I looked it up and she has massively educated herself on the subject.

She has said:

"On a personal note, I've also gone through my own journey of learning how to respond to the various traumas that I've experienced in my life. I lost my mother when I was three years old and I grew up in a house of people dealing with the tragedy in their own way. And because there was so much grief, there wasn't room to prioritize anyone," Hargitay told the audience.

"We didn't have the tools that we have now to metabolize and understand trauma, understand all the levels, understand that it goes in on the cellular level," she explained. "So it wasn't until much later in my life when I was able to do that for myself."

https://people.com/mariska-hargitay-shares-how-therapy-gave-me-my-life-back-after-trauma-8744662

I can't imagine Harry being able to talk about grief and trauma in such a way, yet he's projecting himself as a grief counsellor.

Thanks for sharing this article & about the documentary about Mariska Hargitay & her mam, I've always liked her back from her brief appearance in ER & of course I knew her background, I think there might even have been a film about JM starring Arnold Schwarzenegger from way back?

She, MH, is a shining example of how people can & do move beyond trauma, the line "I was three years old and I grew up in a house of people dealing with the tragedy in their own way." was very moving* *(I can relate, my dad died before I was two)

surely Harry with all of his resources & the support system he had throughout his life could have really worked on his grief to try to find a better way of coping instead of what he has instead become

Those really expensive trousers are why I hate fashion even though I used to work in it. Those trousers are hideous - give me a pair of skinny jeans any day 😂

I LOVE fashion, I don't consider these monstrosities it & yes me too, I'm never out of skinny jeans, I even had maternity ones 😂

He could even follow a course of study to inform himself, without having to gain a qualification at the end.

Starryfifty · 09/10/2026 15:39

Harry is a "student of grief" wtf is that ?

Harry wants William to take notice of him. I think he needs his big brother as he is the only other person who knows how they felt about their mother’s death.
Unfortunately Harry has alienated his brother by his words and actions and he’s so stupid he can’t understand why his brother doesn’t want anything to do with him. Harry needs to apologise to William for all the hurt he has caused him and Catherine and also needs to understand that he still may not ever be recognised by William. Harry is too impatient and wants everything to be sorted now. It will only be on William’s terms and that may be never.

Scorchio84 · 09/10/2026 15:52

Tangent but my Irish autotype brain just tried to spell her name as Michelle O'Bama which just made me laugh a little bit 😁

This is gas @ChristmasHampered I'll never be able to unsee/unhear it that way now 😂😂

Have to screenshot because I don’t have X so can’t add a hyperlink, pic will load shortly. I’m sure there are lots of photos of me in the same pose, but in Meghan’s case and mine it’ll be because of an awareness of being photographed. Many of us have go-to poses. I’d be shocked, however, if two candid camera shots would be this similar. It’s a pose, for the cameras. It’s fake concern, talking down to women, bestowing her attention and a concerned look….but for the cameras. When you’re the subject of such attention, you know it. You come away feeling like something just happened but you’re not sure what, that the connection didn’t really happen or was just missed. That’s because as the subject you engage with clean hands: you trust what’s in front of you. Meanwhile, the other person is playing a game you weren’t even aware was going on.

Oh my God that's.....well, I have no words really!!

Eurrghh. She is SO false!! And has undoubtedly practised that in the mirror too..... 🙄

And guys wife is American if I recall correctly, that's crazy they didn't make the cut for the meal but I guess neither did any of the Markles or Doria's side & they are family. I'm surprised Guy hadn't a part in the wedding ceremony as an usher or groomsman, he & Harry were very close

She was already claiming Harry as "her property" at that wedding and giving the glare to any other female that stopped at the table to speak to him.

And the staff seemed to get a tongue lashing as well

Was that the wedding that Meghan turned up to without an invitation 😁? The woman must have more front than Brighton beach, as my nan used to say.

Exactly this is an excellent point. They cut Thomas Markle & the Markles out never to be reconciled because the sold stories to the press.
Harry & Meghan did the exact same as the Markles sold horrible, untrue stories about the Royal Family for millions yet still fully expect to be forgiven & welcomed back into the folds of the family..
The hypocrisy & entitled is astounding.
