I agree in general but I think it’s the marrying into the RF which is the point. I. Sure if some royal woman had wanted to marry Jeffrey Archer (sorry - this has got me tittering! - I’m imagining Princess Anne😂) then I think the same judgement would apply. I don’t think anyone, least of all MI5, would care 2 hoots about any of M’s possible shady associates if she hadn’t briefly been a royal, with official duties etc.
